We went to Davis Tire with our "new" to us 9 car hauler we added to our auto transport business for them to do an alignment, change the hydraulic filter, and to change the hydraulic fluid and they provided us with top notch service at a more than reasonable price. The mechanic was extremely knowledgable, efficient, and did a great job. Also, I want to comment on katelyn a's review. What did you expect to pay for someone to drive to Orlando from Jacksonville to change a tire? If you are in any type of transport business you should know people do not drive for free. There is a price per mile that is pretty standard and why would you not call someone in Orlando? That should have been the obvious choice for you...just wanted to throw that out there. I know... They removed mine twice and then blocked me on Facebook so I can't review them again. We have used Davis Tire over the past few years to repair / replace tires on 20' chassis used for transporting containers to the port. Service has been quick and the prices are fair. On 8/26/2022 we had a tire lose the seal on the rim and called to have it fixed. I let the technician convince me to replace the old tire with a new tire after he informed me that the recap was still in good shape but the tire itself was aging. (I trusted him on this, not sure if it actually needed replacement.) This particular chassis made it two trips to the port and back for a total of 160 miles. Our driver noticed the wheel wobbling on the way back from the port and found that all of lug nuts were loose. I called Davis Tire to come back out and tighten the nuts that THEY originally tightened after replacing the tire and I was informed by Brooke that we had to pay a $100 service fee. At the bottom of the original invoice it states that there is a 30 day warranty on labor, so I contested the charge but they refused to fix the mistake unless I agreed. I am writing this review on 9/8/22 which is well within the warranty time. All said and done, the technician came out, tightened the nuts and then charged us $169.45. That's a far cry from $100. I asked him to inspect the wheel itself to make sure it was sound and he stated it was fine. I cannot comprehend how a company like this makes a mistake (we all have mistakes) and REFUSES to fix the problem at their cost. These loose nuts could have easily caused a major wreck on the interstate and lawsuits would have gone in every direction. We got really lucky nothing happened and everyone is safe Two stars for previous good experiences, would be one star if this was the only time we used their services. read more

A big shout-out to the guys at Davis Tire Center in Jacksonville for getting us safely back on the road. Their tech persisted to find our air pressure leak and after failing to detect a leak in the dunk tank - twice - he removed the tire from the rim to inspect it inside. He found a cut on the valve inside the tire. They spent a couple hours getting this fixed and it only cost $34. Horrible customer service! Had a mechanic go out to replace tires on a friends bus. While there, THIER mechanic knows a wheel stud loose and through the drum... at first they took responsibility for it but then they left the bus sitting UNdrivable for a few days and then backed off saying it wasn't THIER problem! WHAT? YOUR mechanic screwed up! Don't EVER go here for ANYTHING commercial. Heck I won't trust my car to these people now! read more

I have a commercial pressure company and use large Isuzu trucks. This place has fair and reasonable prices for tires as well as road side assistance. My neighbor had some work done by this company..I see there repair truck back up on my drain field so I go out side in the poring rain to tell the repairman to get his truck off my drain field and he was very rude ..so I call the office to explain my privet property issue and the woman was rude and hung up ...I called back and told her that it wasn't my tractor and I didn't park it there and she told me she's the owner and it didn't hurt my drain field and was so rude she said for me to get an Attorney...so that's what I'm doing with pictures.... read more

My driver called for roadside assistance for 2 auto trailer tires that were blown 4 miles from Davis Tire location. My driver got pricing on tires that was reasonable ($114.00 each) and was not told until service truck arrival of 88.50 service call PLUS $30.00 per tire to change on top of service call. Talked to owner to see for a reasonable solution on the amount for service call and unknown $30.00 per tire change fee that was not discussed....Had my driver on a conference call describing no one outlined this costs during conversation with the owner. However, after talking with the owner of Davis Tire Center he chose not to listen / solve my customer service issue in a pragmatic business like manner. Rather he buried in on his position taking the attitude of it's my price or the highway! So, if ever on "the highway" pick another roadside assistance company because their communication on original service call "all in costs" was incomplete. Make sure you explicitly pin them down on pricing before ordering their service.....because after the fact you've lost your $$$ of what you think and what is charged as the service call. read more

We are so thankful for Davis Tire and the gentlemen that helped us. We were traveling through Jacksonville on our way to Savannah when we had a issue with our Renegade Verona RV inside back tire. We had pulled into a TA Truck service in hopes they could help since they are big 22 1/2 tires, but unfortunately they can't work on personal vehicles. We called Davis Tires, first they offered to come assist us immediately where we were but we felt sure we could make it to their shop. We pulled in unloaded our tow vehicle and they immediately got to work. 30 mins later we were all fixed up and they also checked all of our other 5 tires. Top Notch service. We had a service call in Orlando from them, but after last night that will be our last!! $760 later for Jean to come dismount/mount a tire! A tire we provided for him! This is not the first time we've done business with him either. Horrible horrible customer service when his wife provides us with a quote for a previous blow out that was 90 miles closer for $300 with a tire provided. I called Davis Tire Center last Tuesday (July 2nd 2019) to have them come out and mount 6 new tires on my Wanderlodge motorhome, they quoted me $450. That price included coming out, mounting the new tires, and new valve stems on all 6 wheels. We scheduled them to come out today (July 8th 2019). The man that came out to mount the tires was timly and professional and made quick work of the job. When remounting the driver's rear wheel the tech hit a wheel stud, causing it to be lossened and pushed into the brake drum. We were promised Davis would send out their mechanic today to fix the issue free of charge as it was their fault. In addition the person they sent out to mount our tires was told NOT to replace the value stems. Luckily we caught this issue before all the tires were mounted but they refused replace the value stems on the tires that were already mounted. The day passed with no mobile mechanic showing up so I called them to see what's happening, it's then they tell me they will send out a mobile mechanic FROM A DIFFERENT PLACE and that the wheel stud being pushed through was not their fault and they would not pay for the repair! Plus they made me pay for the value stems they DID NOT replace. So now I'm out $450 for the tires being mounted, only two new valve stems instead of six, and an additional $250 for someone else to come out and FIX THE ISSUE DAVIS CAUSED and they won't be out to fix the repair till ANOTHER day. When I called Davis about this issue they got mad at me and started yelling saying they couldn't of lossened the wheel stud and it's our fault when I know for a fact the stud was not loose as we just had work done at Ray's commercial a few months ago, a very reputable shop! Dealing with Davis Tire Center has been the worst experience I've ever had when dealing with a shop. DO NOT GO HERE unless you feel like getting shorted and yelled at! read more
