Apparently my update voided my original review so here it is: Avoid bringing your car here. He will quote you an inexpensive price, but you're not just getting a lower quality paint job, you're getting an objectively wrong paint job. I brought in my '87 300ZX because my mechanic had recently met Chris Jensen of Dawg House, and there was hope for a business partnership. The FIRST time he painted my car, it was a certifiable mess. Major drips everywhere including one long, uninterrupted drip across the length of the back hatch. My mechanic and I were shocked and brought this up to Mr. Jensen, requesting it be fixed. Even to my untrained eye, I knew this was wrong. Mr. Jensen blamed the defect on using a new clear coat product that was suggested to him, but that he would fix it. Knowing what I know now, I believe he screwed up and was too cowardly to take accountability. He had to completely repaint the car to fix the issues. The SECOND paint job was largely drip free. However, there were thousands of inclusions across the entire car. It's like he threw sand on the car and painted over it. There was orange peal on all surfaces, he painted things that should not have been painted: key holes, matte trim pieces, windshield wiper fluid sprayers. The paint in tight areas (like within the t-top perimeter) is chipping away, and there were several tape marks left. Once again, even to my untrained eye, the work was abysmal. On the invoice, it specified that I bring the car back in 90 days for the cut and buff. He refused that service stating he had already done it once. Was he referring to the incredibly defunct first paint job?? I brought the car to another specialist to cut and buff, but there are just some things he couldn't fix. There were areas where the paint was applied too thinly to effect much improvement. And the trim pieces cannot be corrected. Further, on a car this old, replacing those pieces will be nearly impossible. I wasn't looking for show quality, but I certainly expected a correct job. Also, even though he made promise to pay for this cut and buff in lieu of actually doing it, I had to chase down the payment and threaten small claims since I had documentation that he would pay. He then tried to leverage the payment into me changing my review. Further, a few months later the paint chipped and just fell off on the front bumper. I told him that previous body shops had said the bumper wouldn't take another paint job and he ASSURED me there wouldn't be an issue. Mr. Jensen is unskilled, not professional, and a scammer and unfortunately my naïveté made me and my car the losers. I posted this information on his Facebook review but he blocked me. Chris Jensen and Dawg House Kustomz is a liking cheating thief. He says he has painted cars for SEMA thats a joke. He had my 55 Belair for 15 month. I had done 90% of the bodyworK and he did nothing more to the car. I finally went and picked up the car unassembled and not cut or buffed. I've got parts that are red for left side and black for right side. Chris Jenson is a fast talking con artist. Lies, cheats and steals from Customers and has been doing it for years. He is Not capable of doing body and fender and his ability to paint is worse. read more

I to wish I had read the reviews on dog house kustomz. Chris Jensen is not a painter / body man. He is a hack at best, I brought a 1956 ragtop vw bug in for painting. The paint was applied so thin , he didn't fill in chips he just painted over them, he painted the fuel tank, it has orange peel EVERYWHERE! when I picked up the car I said I wanted to bring it back at the end of sumer to have the issues fixed, he gave me every excuse including he had pneumonia was out of town, the guy is a liar and doesn't even care that he's lying. I contacted my attorney about the incredibly poor job he did and I've been advised to get it repainted by a real professional then take him to small claims court to have him pay for the other company to fix the hack job he did on my car. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't take anything to this so called custom auto body paint shop. Save yourself from getting the worst paint job you could imagine from one of the biggest lying, excuse making, horrible customer service individuals I've ever come across. I truly wish I had taken it to Maco, they would have backed up their work and made things right unlike Chris Jensen has done. I look forward to taking him to court, having him produce all of the licenses he must have to run this type of business and to have the judge make him pay me the money to have my car fixed properly. read more

Complete custom car paint job that went terribly wrong. Should not have any stars because in14 months and lack of good communication Chris Jensen has made us go backwards, and in the end it showed his true colors when the car was picked up not sanded and polished as he said it would be, 10 days earlier he said it will be finial cleared. cut and polished and trim installed ready for transport. Instead it is full of dirt, full of runs and he says the clear has to cure for 5 weeks, why did he tell us to pick it up? Where he taped the doors closed for transport the paint has come off. He even missed painting the under side of the headlight eyebrows that show a lot on a 55 chevy, I mean no paint at all. There is no reason for not painting all of the car, he just missed 2 very important places among other places too. from what I can tell he never did any final bodywork or blocking, just painted it. This guy is very good at talk but should not be painting shoe boxes. We will likely have to have the car completely redone and this will be a costly lesson. Do your homework and for gods sake don't have him paint your car. He is in the Boring Oregon area now but I think he moves around a lot. read more

Why, why, WHY did I not read the Yelp reviews before bringing my vehicle to Chris at Dawg House Kustomz. I'm an idiot. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. Worst "professional" paint job and body work I've ever seen. Terrible, sloppy tape lines, paint and clearcoat laid on really thick in areas and really thin/dry in others. Severe orange peel and runs everywhere. Very sloppy body work. He even lazily painted over low-grit sanded areas, which is easily seen through the paint. I am not kidding when I say I've spray painted a car and it came out cleaner than Chris's work (I am absolutely serious here) and Chris charged me a whopping $3k for this nightmare, which now needs to be redone. The cheapest Maaco paint job would have been better, which I've been happy with in the past. I've taken the vehicle to two independent shops and they were both shocked at the mess he made for the price he charged. Chris did agree to redo some of the work, but kept making excuses and pushing me further and further down the schedule. He would not return any calls and just keep texting me excuses. After 8 MONTHS I finally had it and stopped by his shop to confront him. The guy had nothing to say other than "I'm busy." Unreal. I do not understand how people like this are allowed to stay in business. If you have a year to waste, and want your vehicle to look like it was spray painted by a child, Chris is your guy. Otherwise stay far, far away from the nightmare that is Dawg House Kustomz. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!! Chris did not paint match correctly. Chris sprayed the paint dry. Chris did not do anything as promised. Chris DAMAGED ITEMS and REFUSED to fix them. Chris drove my vehicle over 50 miles.... Some of the worst quality body and paint work I have ever seen. He told me to sue him because everything was "industry standard" and I would have to pay his lawyer fees(completely incorrect). Every shop I took it too said it was horrible work and would cost 3x as much to correct. If you bring your car here you will be VERY disappointed. read more

Chris did a great job clear coating my 67 Ford Falcon. They cleaned off the rust and the satin finish clear coat looks great! Great price and turn around time. So thankful the patina will be sealed. Highly recommended! read more

What a mistake taking my car to Dawg House Customs. According to my contract Chris was to repair the chips in deck lid, passenger door, hood and drivers quarter in addition to touching up paint before clearing car. When I got my car back the paint had real bad runs in it (Chris is an Amateur Painter at best), Chris cleared over the chips without fixing them. Chris cost me more work because virtually my whole Audi S5 has to be redone. Chris says he put four coats of clear on car but easily sanded through with 1000 grit. Whole car including bumpers has had to be redone with exception of passenger quarter. Chris said he would fix problems but has blown me off so I am left with no option but to sue him in small claims court. TAKE YOUR VEHICLE ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Earl Scheib or Maaco will do a job 10 times better. May 30 2020 read more
