If I could give more stars, I would. This shop is amazing. The customer service is unmatched. They basically held my hand the whole way through. Very clear and concise about what would happen, and even called the rental car company for me to let them know I had arrived and needed pick up on the day I dropped off my car. The other person in the collision I had was 100% at fault and so their insurance paid for everything. They gave a kind of lower estimate compared to what I got from VIP, which had me worry for a minute. However, VIP worked with it and said any extra necessary charges would be made to the insurance. And indeed it was. They said the fix would take about 2 weeks. It took a mere 10 days (that count is including the Saturday/Sunday which they aren't open for). I couldn't pick it up due to external factors with the insurance taking a while to release some forms, but it hit exactly 2 weeks when I could finally retrieve it. When I tell you my car looked more beautiful than when I got it! HAH! Pretty sure they gave the rest of my car a cleaning special because I don't remember it being so dazzling and sparkly. Anyway I'd love to give the name of the specific person who was helping me the entire time but I don't know how I feel about dropping someone's name in a public platform. But they were suuuuuuper cool, patient, nice. A very swell stand up person. I will edit later and add pictures. read more

Went here today to get an idea of how much my car would cost to repair after getting rear ended in a minor accident. The staff were super responsive and friendly. They were flexible with me because I have a difficult work schedule. And when the my went to go look at it it was such a minor repair that they fixed it and didn't charge me for it. I hope I never need to get more car repairs but if I need an auto body shop I would definitely go back. Having a company with employees with such kindness and integrity is uncommon. When I got rear-ended in my 2019 Kia, I put off getting it fixed because everyone told me it was challenging to get an estimate. The insurance company of the kid who hit me had me take pictures, then sent a low-ball check. I figured I would just pay the difference between the check and the actual cost when I had time to fix it. Six months later, I finally had time to get the Kia in to be repaired. I had read a VIP Collision review that said you could text in images to get an estimate, so I did just that. Alex called me right back and said they would need to see it to get the complete picture and said I could come in immediately. I was astonished. I drove over, we looked it over and she took a copy of the claim information. She assured me that they would contact the insurance company and get the full cost of the claim covered. And she told me that I would not have to pay the difference -- that a lot of people waited a while to get things fixed. She also made the connection to get a rental car since it was included in the claim. The damage was way more extensive than my initial photos showed. I was afraid of that. I cleared out the areas of the car that I thought would be in play and dropped it off a couple days later (but they could have taken it immediately). The rental car company picked me up at VIP. A couple weeks later, the repair was all done. As a bonus, VIP did a full detail on the car. They put a box in the back with all the stuff that I had left strewn in the back seat and made the whole thing sparkle. It had never looked that good. In fact, I knew it was never going to look this good again so I drove to a dealership and traded it in. Got a great price for it. A few months ago I was rear ended, and I went to the body shop I usually like to go to because of their proximity to my home, and they weren't able to get me in for an estimate for a month and a half, and then told me it would be possibly that long or longer for an appointment. I get it, supply chains, parts, all that stuff, but is that Long really necessary? Come to find out, it wasn't. I contacted Vip collision center, and they were able to do an estimate the next day, and got me in for repairs the week after. I am honestly very happy with their customer service and overall mechanic service. As soon as I walked into the office, and explained my situation, Val immediately sprang into action to take a look at my car. Not sure why they had time to give me an estimate and also got my car in quicker than most places given how good they are.Their estimate was higher than the insurance and another place. But they told me it would work out, and I notice the insurance company did not include repair to my bumper so I figured it would work itself out. In the end they did not charge me anymore than the deductible, and did the repair for less. OF course if they can't get parts it can take longer, but they found my tailgate was available when I first went in, so it just depended on other parts. It seems like new to me, even had a new car smell when I got it! read more

I highly recommend VIP Collision for your auto body needs. Being that this is the first incident I've been involved in, the entire insurance claim process is foreign to me. Their staff was so helpful and advised me on how to make the most out of my claim. They still went out of their way to help me even after my car was deemed a total loss and "not worth repairing." Well I must say I'm very impressed with the shop. with this last rain we had in Portland, my vehicle hydroplane and hit a curb. It looked like minimal damage just to the driver side rear wheel. I had a tow truck from a small shop(won't say their name) come grab my vehicle and inspect it at their facility. They told me it was major damage and they couldn't work on it. But they got a cool $350 out of me just for the tow and to take the wheel off and look at it. Pretty much bullsh*t. Anyway, with the info I was given, I was told the truck had major frame damage and was basically Totalled. I was totally at wit's end. I called about five different shops VIP Collision Center being one of them. Nobody could fit me in their schedule to get a second opinion. I was devastated. That's when Laya saved the day, I received a text just before closing and she said she had talked to their Tech and he wanted to look at it, because the circumstances around the crash they didn't think that it was Major frame damage and could not be fixed. So she said they could fit me in the next morning to inspect it. And that's what they did. I got great news back, well, semi great news, it wasn't major frame damage it just needed new parts, control arm, wheel hub assembly, etc... But definitely not totaled. The repair was so much less than anticipated, I was so relived especially after loosing all hope after the first "mechanic" told me it was totaled. Now my car is up and running and I'm back on the road, doing my best to avoid large puddles. Laya thank you so much for being so kind and squeezing me into your schedule, and the Tech, Val, thank you for inspecting it for free and the great work you did. Outstanding service. My son had knocked the right rear panel of our Prius off it's mounts while breaking some of the mounts in the process. The result is that our right rear panel would flap in the wind like a dog's tongue with its head out the window whenever we were traveling faster than 45 mph. I dropped in today for an estimate to fix the entire panel, not cheap. But in the meantime the guys in the shop reattached the panel so that it doesn't flap in the wind. They did a really excellent job of this and it looks essentially new. When I went to pay, they waved me off. It was a small job that I lacked the know how, skills, and tools to accomplish but was for them a fairly simple thing to do, because they have all three. Way to build customer loyalty and they now have a customer for life. Thank you. read more

I can't say enough good things about VIP. Everyone from the front office staff to Val who oversaw our job was incredible. We had a VERY expensive repair job that, unfortunately, was not covered by insurance. Val did everything he could to keep costs down while maintaining the integrity and safety of our vehicle. In the end, the cost came in $1,400 below the original bid. We also had a very specific deadline of when the car needed to be done. They kept me up to date on the progress and finished the car early. Last week my RAV4 door was damaged. Fortunately, the next day I went to the VIP Collision Center in Portland. Laya was very courteous; she examined the damage and recommended replacing the door. Being an engineer, I asked Laya whether the door can be repaired, instead of being replaced. Laya was again very courteous; she called on her technician (Teno) to talk to me directly. Teno agreed to try to pull out the dent, although he wouldn't guarantee success. Yet Viola, I was amazed when I went to pick up my repaired RAV4. See the "Before" and "After" photos for yourself. She backed her old 2003 4Runner into a post in the garage and pulled off the front bumper. This was on a Sunday (May 1st), and she was planning to drive her car back home a 700-mile drive on Tuesday (May 3rd). Monday (May 2nd), I went to a very well-known body shop in Portland, and they said, " We are scheduled out four months, and we can't get parts due to the Pandemic." I asked for some referrals, and they suggested VIP Collision Center. At VIP, I met with Ed Stevens, repair estimator, and he had his production supervisor Val take a look who said, "bring it in this afternoon, and we will have it ready by noon on Tuesday." We brought the 2003 4Runner in Monday afternoon, and I got a call at 10 AM Tuesday that work was completed. Val, Ed, Laya, and others did an excellent job. Best auto body shop in Portland! The quote was much lower than anywhere else I went to. You can walk-in and they will give you multiple quotes in 20 minutes from minimal repairs to the full works. They have a very good team there, Val, Laya, and Alix were all very kind and never did they add any additional costs or add anything on during the repair to screw me over. I don't know anything about cars and having crashed my car 2 weeks after I bought it I really needed to find a place that I could trust. Everyone is very knowledgeable, respectful and honest.
