We came here on a Monday night (also Presidents' Day) so we were the only ones in there. I got a burger with sweet potato fries which was good but nothing to boast about. My husband got their chili cheese dog (also nothing to boast about) and their Chicago hot dog. He said the Chi dog was the best chi dog he's ever tasted and that the celery salt on the bun was a nice touch. The kids share some chicken nuggets and fries. When you first walk in you see a beautiful painted wall mural of dogs playing in a park. The restaurant was very clean. They have wooden floors, comfortable booths, and nice wooden tables with patio type chairs to give you that outside dining experience but actually being indoors. There is a Ms. PacMan / Galaga game and a toy locker claw machine. Some yard games: Huge Jenga and two connect 4. There is a outdoor single swing anchored to the ceiling and two TV's on the wall. The food was served in dog bowls lined with paper. It was hard to eat the sandwiches because the bread was cut all the way through. I would have loved for them to cut the sandwich in half. It was a little awkward to eat. The Philly Steak sandwich was good but was not very full, it could have used more meat. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was good but would have been better with a little more meat. The Hot Motz were great - 8 for $7.99 which is a great price! I wanted to try the Poppin Pierogi but they did not have any... hopefully next time. I recommend giving this place a try. Dawg Park is a small hot dog, burger and milk shake joint and yup, it sure is dog friendly! =) There are a few games to play inside to keep kids busy which is great. This is a nice family friendly and dog friendly spot for lunch or dinner. There's about 30ish seats total inside and a few tables and chairs outside in front of the restaurant too. There are 2 ways to order once inside - at the counter with a staff member or you are able to browse the tablets on your own and order through those. Service was very quick, top notch fast within 5-10 mins and the staff is very nice. They offered suggestions and help if needed. They also bring your items to your table. No need to get up and grab them yourself. My fiancé and I tried the matcha shake - it was okay. It didn't seem to be authentic Japanese matcha but it wasn't a bad shake. Still a sweet treat! We also had the Chicagoan hot dog - this was pretty good. I honestly think it was a little too much but still pretty decent. Flavors were there, the bun is not your typical hotdog bun. It looked like a piece of brioche bread. Of course no ketchup too haha. We also tried the classic cheese burger - it was pretty good. A pretty standard cheeseburger, nothing fancy. This place is fun to take your furry friend! It's hard to find dog friendly restaurants sometimes, so I was excited when my husband and I could take our dog here! The place has a cute dog mural when you walk in. Service was friendly; you place your order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table once it's prepared. Food was good! I had the bbq hot link which was flavorful and had a good snap to it. The zesty garlic cheese fries were okay- kind of wish I would have gotten the sweet potato fries instead. My first visit to a Dawg Park Grill. The burgers here are destined to be a craveable addition to my local burger favorites. Waiting for my "to-go" order, it's clear this place is already popular after having just recently opened. I laughed at the sight of people eating salad out of metal dog bowls and the dog bone shaped cookies on their unique shakes. (I'll be back for one of those). The CA Burger is packed with bacon and juicy flavors. I haven't tried a hot dog yet, but I look forward to it. Dawg Park is definitely pricier than say Portillo's but the gourmet flavors of these upscale hot dogs and sandwiches are rightfully justified. The only thing I was surprised by is that a can of diet coke that set me back about $2 50. (That's like, half a dozen eggs these days)! A large fry order was more than enough for 2 of us to share. These fries weren't as crispy as I liked by the time I got home, so I just crisped them a few minutes in my air fryer. The decor is sure to please any dog lover and a fun place for all ages. This was an unfortunate first experience and I'm gonna start off by saying the food was delicious. This review is not about the food. I just have notes about functionality and service. You order at a kiosk when you walk in the door, which is not an issue, but after ordering my husband came up to me and said he thought the total was really high. Well it turns out there were fried pickles and hot mozzarella sticks on the receipt that we did not order. So what we think happened, is someone else started an order before us walked away, and we ended up coming up to their kiosk and placing our order. The staff did refund us for one of the items, but only after it was dropped on the ground and then placed on our table for us to eat. Which was then the second time we mentioned we didn't order it. The servers are young, and I don't want to say anything poorly about them, but this could be a learning experience to not serve food that was dropped, even if it didn't touch the floor. My second note is this the environment is not very size inclusive. As a bigger person, the only place for me to sit was at a stool at the bar seating. The booths were very low and the tables are about belly button level when you sit in the booths and the other chairs were very narrow with arms or hanging from the ceiling. My final note is that neither bathroom had soap and it took forever to get our drinks, we had to ask after our food was brought out. read more

I was so excited to try this place. It was very disappointing. The ordering system is not easy, needs to be available at tables so dogs don't have to wait in line. I went on Saturday late afternoon. The service was not friendly or knowledgeable about what good they had. I ordered 2 grilled cheese, paid and waited at the table only to be told at that they were out of bread. I ordered cheesecake shake and they were out of cheesecake. The food was pricey and not good. The best things at our table were mozzarella sticks and fried pickles. The restaurant is fast food type food with restaurant prices. It was very busy and it would be important to have a max of people allowed in at once. Felt very crowded. Families came with no dog, and their toddlers and young children were screaming and throwing things in close vicinity to dogs and tables. Absolutely amazing treat! This place serves primarily hot dogs and burgers, with a substantial menu of various assortments of ingredients on dogs and burgers. I tried a Hot Garlic Burger, and it was amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly to my order, medium-rare. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The fries were amazing, hot and fresh! A little on the pricey side, but well worth it for the creativity and attentiveness of the owner. We will be back, as this was a truly unique menu, quality food, and wonderful service! One reservation is that the seats are very comfortable to recline in (a lot of fun seating here!) but it was hard to sit up to really get my hands and mouth around the large and juicy sandwich. They just like to bark hello at other dogs. Towards the end our dogs were barking more so we got up to leave. Unfortunately their staff told us we needed to leave now. They don't allow dogs barking. It's a restaurant for dogs....there was no fight, no snipping, nothing - just dogs barking hello with wagging tails. I wondered why there was only one other dog there. Check your receipts! Looked up this place online and decided to give it a shot. Ordered the spicy basil burger. It was very good. However, the prices you see on their website ($9.79)....OR their higher in-store menu ($10.99) are NOT what they charge. I paid $12.99 for just the burger. That's over $3 more than their website- $2 more than the in-store menu! Before I left, I brought this up to the employee and he said "I know, we hear that a lot" from customers. What? How do you run a business like this? How many other customers are being overcharged each day without knowing it. We've gone to the one in glenview, and I was so excited they opened one in south barrington since it's only 5 minutes from the house. They have kiosks you can place your order on, but be prepared to answer many many questions. I will say I do appreciate it being very customizable. I enjoy the interior of this restaurant a lot, since the theming is like of a dog park. They have swinging chairs and faux grass where you can play giant Jenga and giant connect 4. My dogs love coming here just as much as I do since they get to also get some yummy food. We get the dogs a pup bowl with chicken and rice. I like to get sweet potato fries with my meal so I can share those with them too. The sweet potato fries were kind of soft, and I wish they were crispier. I love a crispy sweet potato fry, and these were meh. The regular fries were delicious, and I could eat an entire bowl of them. I ate the Cali BLTA (minus tomato and onion), and it was a pretty standard burger. I like getting the freshness of avocado on a burger to cut through the heaviness. The chocolate shake was very good, it had a caramel Ghirardelli and cute bone shaped cookie on top. I'm surprised they weren't busier for a Saturday night at 7pm. read more

I got the teriyaki ranch bowl and had the ranch on the side as I wasn't sure, but it went really well together. One friend had the ninja dog and it was a little good but a bit top heavy as the brioche bread had a gap at the bottom. Not as messy as she expected as it stayed together even with the toppings. She also had the Thai chili fries, which were also good. My other friend had the buffalo chicken bowl with potatoes and said it was good. I also tried their garlic hamburger the burger was juicy and absolutely delicious. The quality of the meat was fabulous. Their menu is vast. You can go there a dozen plus times and never order the same thing. They also have bowls that you can order that can be ordered with rice or sliced potatoes. They also have delicious shakes that change for the holidays. One of their more famous ones is there red velvet shake it's delicious. Saw this place when I was leaving the Spirit Halloween store. The ambience is super cute, obviously it was themed like a dog park. Dogs are even welcome inside which my daughter loved! My boyfriend brought me here as we are watching a movie nearby and didn't wanna drive far for dinner we decided to give this place a try. It's a new place. Ample of parking outside. It was just so hard to look for when you drive inside the arboretum. Both exterior and interior are neat and clean. We got a burger, chicken nuggets, Mac and cheese and French fries. We ordered 2 burgers, 2 orders of fries (one regular and one zesty) and 2 shakes. The shakes didn't have a lot of flavor and were mediocre, at best. The zesty fries were supposed to be zesty, instead, whatever they shake on them to make them zesty is sweet, definitely not "zesty" or spicy at all. The burgers were NASTY! They were frozen and tasteless. The toppings that were supposed to be on them were quite sparse. Our total was $53 BEFORE tax. For that same $53, we could have had a MUCH better meal elsewhere.
