Since I was staying at the Marriott and there aren't too many food options in the area, I ended up getting breakfast at this hotel every day for a week. I generally like to read the paper at breakfast so I opted for going to the River City Grille instead of ordering room service. Maybe because I wake up late or because everyone gets room service or because you would only stay at Hoffman Estates for business, the restaurant is never crowded. Luckily for me, that means the service is incredibly attentive and the food comes out fast! True to Midwestern style, they serve hearty, generous portions that will definitely fill you up. The hash browns are very fried, there is meat in most of the menu items, and when the omelette has melted cheese inside, it's far from a delicate amount sprinkled on top. You're going to get as much cheese as you want and then some. But as long as you aren't vegan, the food is pretty good. The Broken Yolk Sandwich, in particular, is delicious. And the Frittata, which is supposed to be a healthier option, is also good and comes without the tempting fried potatoes. Service is quick and friendly and all in all, River City Grille is a solid hotel breakfast spot (I can't speak to lunch or dinner).

Absolutely amazing, and they debone right at your table. Also had the crab pasta and had a good taste of our friends market Wagyu steak. It was like butter. Keep in mind. This is not going to be cheap though. If you're gonna go to this place, expect not only excellent service but not your McDonald's prices. Saw a couple of the next table come in and order a hamburger and fries. Seriously? You come to this place for a burger and fries? (Lol). I'm sure the burger and fries was excellent, but this place is not known to be a burger joint, even though it's on the menu but again, to each his or her own. I wouldn't come here just to have a burger. There are many other places that do that. Step it up a little. Come here for a higher tier of food caliber. That being said: Our server was excellent. The manager along with the chef / the wine "professor"- (he was excellent as well- extremely knowledgeable, and paired our bottle of wine perfectly with all our meals) along with everyone else who came by to check on us. But our server was absolutely attentive and great. He wasn't pushy and he was very easy-going but very astute and had all the attention to detail. So hopefully we made his night when we came to the tip. (we weren't slouches, nope.). I wish I remembered his name, it wasn't a typical name, but he was outstanding. That being said, make sure that you pack away a couple "bones" when you see the check- also make sure that you tip your waiter for the outstanding job that they do. So don't skimp on that either. So again: It isn't cheap, but a place like this shouldn't be. We had a great experience overall- Also, this isn't your T-shirt and shorts type of place. You have to dress up. No schleps.. Capeesh?!!? leave your sandals at home. Which it should be. This is an experience, not your local In-N-Out Burger joint. Excellent and tasteful decor- excellent service highly highly highly recommend.

The deal is half off apps, but if you enjoy an adult beverage, the house-brewed drafts are also half off. M-Th 3-6pm, dine-in only. At least that's what it is right now. I feel like it changes, so maybe call beforehand to confirm. I only got pics of the nachos this time, which really doesn't do it full justice because they're bigger than they look in the photo. Food is always good and consistent, there's nothing really to complain about regarding service or prices, and parking has always been really easy, though that could be because we typically go on Tuesdays. I imagine weekends could be a little bit busier, but the place is pretty big, so even if you have to wait, I don't think that you'd be waiting that long. The vibe is also casual and low-key.

From the moment you walk in, the staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. There's plenty of parking, which makes it easy and stress-free to visit, and the restaurant itself is always spotless and well kept including the restrooms. One thing that really stands out for our family is how autism-friendly and understanding the staff are. We have an autistic son, and the team here has always been patient, kind, and very aware of our needs. That level of understanding means so much to families like ours and makes dining out a truly enjoyable experience. The food is absolutely delicious. The steak is incredible juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. It honestly rivals some of the best steakhouses we've been to and no I'm not afraid to admit that. The salad bar has tons of fresh options, so there is something for everyone, and everything is well stocked and presented beautifully. Now then sangria is fantastic. It's refreshing, light, and perfectly balanced, not overly strong, which actually makes it even more enjoyable to sip with a meal. Between the welcoming atmosphere, clean space, amazing food, and thoughtful staff, this place is a gem. We will absolutely continue coming back again and again. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal and a restaurant that truly makes guests feel comfortable and valued. You won't regret coming!

The mojito was full of ice so idk if much of a drink was actually there. The food was OK. I didn't love it, but also didn't hate it. When checking in at the host stand, the hostess did not seem knowledgeable about where we could be seated for the happy hour. Thankfully within the lounge, you can sit at the bar or the adjacent tables. They have a specialty bar menu where certain wines, cocktails, shareables, and sandwiches are at a discount rate. Even discounted, the items were far too expensive for portions and quality. Shareables ranged from $6-10 off, sandwiches $2-6 off, and cocktails $4 off. For drinks, I got the Pomegranate Martini which was well balanced and not too acidic. My husband got the happy hour Cab and enjoyed it. For food, I got the Zucchini Fries which were tasty and crispy. My husband got the steak sandwich which came with fries. Our friends got the chicken sandwich and cheeseburger which they thought were okay. Their blueberry mojito had A LOT of ice in it so I assume they barely got much to drink. Overall, this experience was okay. The cliental is definitely older but the inside has a contemporary aesthetic. Our server was extremely nice and upbeat which was really enjoyable. Sadly, the food and drinks just weren't good enough for me to want to revisit.
