THIS PLACE IS AMAZAING!!! Dawn truly cares about animals. My coworker and I found a little dog running across Exposition Blvd in the middle of Rush Hour. Being the dog crazy person that I am I made her jump out and chase this dread-headed dog down. The dog had OBVIOUSLY been on the street for a while as her hair was matted and soooo long. We finally were able to catch her and we called a Vet that could get her in to check for a microchip - Nope. Next stop was Dawn's Pet Palace ... this was my coworkers groomer so I just went along. When we got there Dawn went above and beyond for us. She groomed this super scared and unfarmiliar dog with grace and skill. At first the pup was uneasy and jumpy but Dawn calmed her down and got the job done. Not only did she help us out on such short notice but she did it FOR FREE since it was a stray dog that we were helping out... not to mention the FREE collar and leash she gave to us. I brought my two cockapoos here three times and I'll never go again and here's why. I'll start off with the good. They do a good job after I tell them what I want done but only after it's drilled into Dawns mind because supposedly she doesn't write directions down or has great memory. I don't appreciate having to repeat myself. My main problem is how long she had my two dogs which was seven hours, two times in a row. Wouldn't have been a problem if she hadn't told it would be four hours both times. Don't come here if you like having things on a schedule. The first time was 4 hours. Second time was seven, said they were busy. I had to call three times because each time I called, I got "another half an hour" or "twenty more minutes". What Dawn meant by that was "it'll be another two hours". Either she's bad at time management or she's a liar and doesn't want to admit she messed up. Talked to some long time customers and one said he's used to it, been going for two years. Another said, "you know I just think she's too nice and takes on too much." When I went to leave this last time after I had expressed I was angry, Dawn said to me, "I know you're pissed but it's probably better to bring them in at 9am (versus 1230 which was my apt time) because then we can get to them sooner." Excuse me? So it's my fault you couldn't get them done in said 4 hours? Also, "you can take them to A&M and they won't do as good of a job as us" also "sorry it's harder we don't have enough staff" LOL okay. Also she claims the dogs run around. I've never seen the dogs running around and both my dogs drank a whole bowl of water when they got home and pottied a lot, and played a lot AS IF THEY WERE NEVER OUT OF CAGES. To sum it up, Dawn's awful at time management, is unprofessional, lies, won't own up to mistakes and is horrible at decorating. Her business looks like she let her three old little girl decorate. Maybe my dogs took so long because she was busy hanging another stuffed animal from the ceiling. read more

This is the love of my life, Penelope! Dawn really takes care of her. She's a small dog, but she has a LOT of hair. She comes back looking so pretty and fresh. Dawn really works the undercoat so she is light and fluffy. You can tell when Penelope leaves, she has a pep in her step. Something that really stands out to me is the color she can add to her hair so she can match me, because I always have crazy colors in my hair. I attempted to call to get my cat in for grooming because the reviews say that Dawn is a cat whisperer. When you call, There is an outgoing message that says it's faster to just send a text to this number. I sent a text inquiring about grooming services. I received a text a day later that said, " not doing cats at this time sorry". That's all I received- a rude and short response back. I won't attempt to get my cat in again. My Lucy girl is a challenge - she gets super upset at the groomers. Dawn was so sweet to my little monster. She treated her so well and didn't seem to be bothered at all by her attitude. Dawn even said she was very good. Lucy is never good. When I picked her up - cutest hair cut (and VERY fast service) and Lucy was in such a good mood. Will keep coming here. Dawn was so kind and de tangled our very smelly and tangled border collie. We thought our girl needed a shave but Dawn said her fur might not grow back as pretty, and that she could get her tangles out. She spent hours grooming Penny and when she was done, Penny looked and smelled so pretty! Best of all, Penny obviously really liked Dawn, and gave her a big kiss before we left. Dogs can't tell you with words when a groomer has been kind, but a goodbye kiss is a pretty sure sign. We've been to other groomers where Penny couldn't wait to leave, so her affection for Dawn was a great sign. WOW!!! I been fallowing Dawn from the other shop she used to work at. Coming on 2 years now she had been grooming my little guy... Felix is a rescue boy, when we first got him he was so afraid of people and timid. He is very sensitive. He is still afraid of strangers Dawn has been nothing but kind to my sweet boy. I have brought my dog Whiskey here twice since moving to the Arden area. Dawn always does a great job. I love how the animals are treated so well you can really tell that they care about every animal that comes through the door. She even gave me tips on how to help with grooming at home. Which is a big help for me I don't have a lot of money since I'm permanently disabled and on a fixed income. I feel they are priced very well for all the work they do. Very disappointed in the customer experience I received today. I have been a customer for 5 years and have always tipped very well. I made an appointment early this week and showed up 15 minutes prior to my appointment with my dogs and was turned away. I had driven over 30 minutes. I was told that one of their groomers didn't show up. I was not provided with any type of discount to come back or any compensation for my inconvenience. This could have easily been resolved with a simple phone call in the morning to reschedule, instead they forever lost a client. read more

I took my 4 month old Shih Tzu here for his first grooming. And he looks like a whole new dog! These ladies did SUCH a good job. Great service and reasonably priced for $45. I took him in on a Saturday, it was quite busy. It took a little longer as they gave him breaks throughout the appointment being that it was his first time getting groomed and he's just a puppy, I dropped him off at 1pm and picked him up at 7pm. But I much prefer they take their time then have him stressed. When I went to pick him up he was happy and out playing with another dog! He even got a cute little bandana. Thanks ladies! My Cleo is very skittish around strangers an NEVER let's me touch her paws to clip her nails. I thought for sure she will never be able to get them cut at a groomers. But here at Dawn's pet palace. Cleo was so calm an Dawn walked around in a circle talking to Cleo all while clipping her nails. Cleo never flinched or pulled away as she always did. She talked to cleo keeping her calm an at ease. Best groomer ever!!! We've followed Lucille our groomer here....originally at Pampered Paws. Let me start off by saying Lucille is the BEST hands down! She's a great person, groomer and truly does great with my lil girl Sweets. Sweetness is very nervous and shy but loves to see Lucille.
