UPDATE:After this review posted I was contacted by the office. An apology was received and the issue has been resolved While I do appreciate the capability to get my husband in within 24 hours and my husband said staff was polite. However I provided our insurance information prior to the appt. As well as it being on the paperwork provided when my husband checked in. My husband was evaluated and had xrays done. A treatment plan was then provided to my husband with an appt within 2 days. When I received the estimate I was shocked. I called your office to see if this was run through our insurance. The response I was provided "Yeah we are out of network and it was run through your insurance". this should have been told to myself when making the appt or the patient at check in. Not after evaluation with diagnostics and an additional appt has been made. read more

Awful experience. Left there with a massive infection caused by them. Came in with zero problems and zero pain only to leave in pain. Their solution? They could get me in next day to see what was happening and prescribe pain medication until then. No sense of urgency and offering to prescribe pain medication to a patient you've seen one time?! Major red flags. It was also convenient when I was in there they recommended a deep cleaning (with the dentist emphasing how painful it is to do, which doesn't put me at ease!), and then the dentist told the patient next to me the same thing. I would nor give 4 stars but today I had an appointment that was made by them and after my cleaning they ask for $275 and I said my insurance was covering it. the girl said no your insurance is at zero into the first of the year. I said then why would you book me an appointment knowing that? she said it's my responsibility to know when my insurance plan is back to date,something I never would of thought to look up. got very upset because im on a fix income. so she gave me back my credit card and told me no charge and I was to get out of the office. so I guess I'm looking for a new dentist there loss I have much work to be finished,money they want see from me.to bad I really like the others that do my work but it is what it is . read more

I am new to Dawsonville so I looked for the closes dentist and I gave it a try hoping for the best. To make it short they lied about pricing, I went there for a cavity, deep cleaning and then I took the risk and went for a crown. they said it will be $600 out of my pocket and my insurance will cover the rest and 3 months later another bill of $300 was sent to me . the staff that works over there are very rude and seems that they don't care whatever your concern is. it seems that the lack of competition around them makes them feel that there no other options. I am willing now to drive to Cumming searching for a better place. soon they will have some competition since the Dawsonville area is growing. I have been in many dentist before , you always find the good ones or the ones that like to scam people and tells you that you have 8 cavities when you have only one. so I suggest to stay away fo this place. read more

The staff and Dr. Nagar provided the best dental checkup and cleaning I have experienced in the Gainesville, Dawsonville, and Cumming areas. Everyone in the office was friendly and attentive, and the hygienist was both funny and knowledgeable. read more

I have been going to Dawson Dental for several years and always have a wonderful experience. They are very conscientious about getting the work right and will always keep working patiently to make sure my bite is correct which I really appreciate. I had to reschedule today's appointment and they were helpful in finding another time that would work for me. A couple of years ago I had to have some dental work done while I was pregnant and Dr Nagar was diligent to make sure everything was done safely and explained what they were using and why and the office even checked in with my OB. read more

Front staff isn't friendly to guest that come with patients. Took my husband here. Took them 3 hours to do his extractions. I sat and listened to them tell every patient they saw that they needed EXPENSIVE dental work. They told me to go sit in my car at one point. Wouldnt use them read more

I went to Dawson Dental Group in 2015. The dentist informed me that I needed a root canal and bridge. I didn't believe her, so I did not return there. I went to a new dentist today (2017), and she informed me that I did not need a root canal or bridge. Furthermore, I didn't even have any cavities. I guess all that dental work I needed in 2015 miraculously disappeared! Be ware! read more

I never leave reviews but this experience was insane to me. I arrived at least 10 minutes early for my appointment, per instructed email. I already filled out my paperwork online prior. Receptionist requested my ID and insurance. The receptionist took 15 minutes to call my insurance company to verify dental. After 15 minutes, she notified me that the card provided was only my medical, not dental insurance card. I was completely unaware so I took just a few minutes to call my husband and I got the correct dental information. I was then notified the doctor refused to see me now because I was now "late". Mind you, my appointment was at 11 and it was now 11:09. I asked her how I could be late when I showed up early for my appointment per your instruction time, she stated "because I had to verify insurance". So because the receptionist took 15 minutes to verify my insurance, I immediately got the correct information, but you considered me "late" at 11:09, I was refused my appointment. I scheduled this appointment in advance and took half a day off of work for this. read more

Dr. Nagar & staff are extremely welcoming and professional. I needed a filling, crown & cleaning done. Not only were they able to get me in for all three no problem, they also gave me the best advice to keep my smile nice and healthy. All procedures were done with little to no discomfort and were done in a timely manner. I highly recommend this dental office for all your needs in dentistry. They'll for sure be my dentist/hygienist from here on out. read more

While Dr. Nagar and her staff are very pleasant, more needs to be done in the way of patient education. I understand that as a patient, it is my responsibility to research my insurance and treatment options, but being told AFTER having all of my teeth removed that my insurance will not cover dentures, that I must pay out of pocket ($1600 per plate) was a shock that left me sincerely pissed. SOMEONE in the office could have said, "Hey, before we pull 27 teeth and happily bill your insurance company about $100 a piece for them, did you know that your insurance does NOT pay for dentures and you'll have to pay for them yourself?". That would have been good to know BEFORE I was left toothless and trying to figure out how to come up with the money just to be able to chew again. read more

Dr. Nagar is absolutely great and a most caring Doctor! She's been extremely wonderful treating both my DH & myself, despite that we both have many more challenging issues than the typical patient. Plus her entire Team are very capable + most Professional! We get great care & they work with our Insurances. I've even gotten an immediate call back at 7AM on a weekend by Amy when a crown got displaced! Amazing service indeed! I've had Dentist phobia since I was 10yrs. - having been abused by a Dentist who actually held me down & kept drilling despite my horrid pain. So, Dr. Nagar is extremely terrific in understanding of this, plus I have panic attacks due to medical issue (NMH), so she & her fabulous staff all patiently tell me of everything about to be done, so I have no surprises! We're entirely fortunate to have her & her Team here in D'ville! read more
