The parking was very limited so I parked across the street in a private, parking lot, since I knew I was coming right back out. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the staff were very nice. After looking over the menu, I decided on the Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte and the Ham & Cheese Croissant. While I waited, I couldn't help but notice how nice the coffee shop was. They have a small seating area where I noticed a few people working while enjoying their coffee. My latte and croissant were very good. This spot seems like it's popular to the locals. I wish there were more parking options but if you're ever in the area and looking for great coffee, definitely check them out.

Each year we try one of Morning Views beans they readily have available and while we opt for whole beans they will grind yours if you want. For this week's vacation we ordered up Woodys dark blend and Bootys dark blend because we sampled these last year and they were great. The muffins are awesome and our favorite is cranberry orange....never disappoints and we highly recommend. This place is always busy early in the AM but they seem to be well staffed with experienced crews....owner always seems to be there making sure everything runs smoothly.

Buckroe coffee was one of the best coffee shops I've been to in quite some time, too bad it's on the other side of the water from our house! Walking in you can tell it was once a bank, LOVE older buildings and stories like this! The atmosphere inside was amazing, there were all different types of customers enjoying conversation, working, and just enjoying time in their 3rd place. I ordered a blended mocha frappe. PERFECT on the hot day! My daughter ordered a lemon & white chocolate latte and it was one of the best she has had (and like her mother, she does love her coffee and is VERY picky) My husband went the non coffee route and ordered a Mango smoothie and found it refreshing and finished it in the car on the way home. If you are on the hampton side of the water I highly recommend you stopping at Buckroe coffee. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to head back up to the farmers market so I can stop here again on the way home :)

I substituted oat milk in my crème brûlée latte and it was a great substitution without changing the taste of the drink. Not too sweet. My breakfast sandwich was nice and flavorful. Croissant crispy and light, cheese nicely melted. I would have liked my bacon consistently crispy but it didn't take away from the quality or taste at all. Now the açaí bowl...wow! As soon as I lifted the lid, I could smell the fresh fruits. It was a great balance of fresh ingredients. This was my favorite item. Great value for the price and I can't speak enough on the freshness of the ingredients. 100% returning!!

My husband and I are regulars at Big Ugly but I've never taken the opportunity to try Taxus Street until this week. I tried to come on Monday and quickly learned they were closed, so returned the following day. They operate inside the brewery and have a nice setup in the corner. There is lots of seating - bars and high tops - and it's a great spot for a morning gathering. There was a meeting in the upstairs loft happening during my visit. The barista who assisted me was working solo. She was super friendly and happy to answer my questions. I was glad to hear they offer decaf espresso. I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. I was really pleased with my recent visit and I'll be happy to come back soon!

This place is also a roastery and sells their own bean blends. I don't know the history behind the shop and name but was told it is chemistry themed and owned by W&M alum - yassssss! They make all of their syrups in house- and they are absolutely splendid. Only this place can make me enjoy an espresso tonic- what even is that?! But it's delicious, just like everything they do. And, it's never ever too sweet. It's always barely sweet with an emphasis on flavor, not sugar. Ugh just so good. And what's more than that- the staff here are genuinely amazing people. The owner (I think?) always greets us and knows us well at this point, and makes the whole experience just that much better. These people are in the job that's right for them- which means their coffee is crafted with love. And that's the best kind of business to visit.
