Oh my word the mini quiche was so good!! Loved the vibe here. Very small, but like the quaintness of the place. Highly recommend. Prices seemed reasonable.

I've stopped in here a few times while nearby shopping for a snack, pastry or a coffee. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, it's a small shop but loaded with delicious muffins and baked fresh goodies every day with seasonal flavors like pumpkin muffins. Lots of quiche and breakfast goodies as well as salads and sandwiches and bagels are available if you are looking for something a bit heavier. Chicken salad sandwich is delicious. They also have a few smoothies and great fresh coffee. A very cute local's gem!

If it's about the ambiance Perked Up is definitely cute, inviting, cozy - 5 stars. If it's about service, the ladies were very friendly, welcoming, helpful - I LOVE the suggestion of trying white chocolate lavender latte! Service is 5 stars. I also got their chocolate strawberry muffin - you can taste the fresh strawberries. With what I had am definitely coming back to try their sandwiches, etc. Perked Up! Is truly hidden gem. Highly recommended !

A quaint cafe with quality coffee and breakfast options. I had the sausage egg and cheese bagel with a self serve hot coffee. Everything was delicious and the price was pretty low. There was plenty of parking too. I'd definitely return!

Egg substitute, crappy cheddar and thin and flavorless bacon.

I'm basing this review on their breakfast sandwiches and pastries. The cafe itself was cute but crowded. The menu was large, clear and didn't seem overly unreasonable for price. The low rating comes from their breakfast sandwiches. I'd have been better off getting a McMuffin. I ordered an everything bagel with egg, extra cheese and bacon. I purposely avoided hitting somewhere commercial because I hate fake egg or bacon. They claimed fresh ingredients but I'm not sure what fresh eggs I have had that create a pale yellow and tasteless disc. The cheddar was flavorless and bacon was comparable to the pre cooked microwave bacon. The bagel itself some how lacked and personality or flavor. It was all poppy seed and sesame seed. I'm from New England and the everything bagels are excellent. I only gave it the extra star because the pistachio bread was very good and my blueberry muffin was interesting. It reminded me of the ones back home and made with a little flax or something.

This place is so cute! The staff is very friendly! The coffee is very yummy! The idea of the coffee ice cubes is so smart.

Sweet location. It is small but they offer a lot for such a small coffee shop. I love how they utilize every inch. Coffee has been consistently good. We usually get lattes but we have also gotten their chai tea. If you like you lattes on the sweeter side, speak up they are very helpful and friendly. I really like the salted caramel white chocolate latte with almond milk. Their lavender is good too. They have so much great food to choose from. It is all good. My only draw back. And this is miner, I wish my muffin was heated up. Love the atmosphere here. They have great music. Great service. Always clean. They even have lovely seating outside

This is a cute boutique coffee shop. I was in the area and my family wanted coffee. I opted in for an Americano and added some honey to it. It was good... nothing to it I know. But the employees were pleasant and we met the baker in the back. I witnessed a patron come in and wanted a blueberry muffin. The muffins were baking and he seemed a bit disappointed that none were readily available... just the one on display and I doubt that is for sale... just show. This lets me know, the muffins must be really good. I brought a muffin just to try it and it's been a few days and I still haven't tried it yet... the cherry almond flavor. Nevertheless, check this little place out, it must be something to your liking here... rather something hot, cold to drink or yummy to eat. Have fun and enjoy life :)

What a great little place. The locals love it, you can tell, and they keep it very busy. I had the sausage breakfast sandwich and it was tasty. The Quiche looks fabulous and I regret not trying it. Service is excellent. It would get a 5 except for the drip coffee brought it to a 4. I always describe this taste as bad water filtration or a dirty machine. I don't know that to be true but the taste is like metals added into coffee. Think diner coffee. Here's a tip "I like my sugar with coffee and cream" I am sure this is the best way to enjoy it. That's what most people were doing. I will definitely stop in again next time in town.

Everything bagel sandwich with egg and crispy bacon

I'm lucky enough to work very close to perk you up . However I would drive a distance ,if I had to . I've had a lot of things on their menu. I've had their quiche. My favorite is the Greek. I've had the muffins to die for. All of their salads are crisp and yummy. So many choices of coffee to pick from .my two favorite are the Virginia Beach flavor and the Costa Rica. When it's a hot day and I want an iced coffee I get the cold coffee. The cool thing is that their ice cubes are made of coffee so as your coffee dilutes it doesn't get watered down .Today I got the everything bagel sandwich. Yum yum . Customer service is on point. And they have a cute little area where you can sit and sip on your drink and enjoy your breakfast.

I'm in town visiting my family and was looking for pour over coffee. Found Fathom on Yelp and knew…read moreit was my kind of place. Nice location near the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Cool vibe, bit of a modern industrial roaster aesthetic. Staff were patient, professional, and provided good recommendations. I went with a Rwandan special pour over, one of my nephews got the hot chocolate, my daughter and another nephew each got iced caramel lattes. It was a bit chilly but we still enjoyed seats in their beautiful garden area. The Rwandan was served at optimal temperature and was complex and delicious! My daughter and nephews enjoyed their drinks as well. I will certainly return!

It has tables and umbrellas overlooking a beautiful flower and vegetable garden. I was especially impressed by how dog-friendly Fathom is; my dogs were welcomed inside just like any other guest, and there are even pictures of their furry guest on the walls near the entrance. Their prices are very affordable & reasonable, especially compared to other coffee shops in the oceanfront area. On my first visit, I ordered a hot caramel latte with almond milk and an iced white chocolate mocha latte, and both drinks together were just over $11. They were well-balanced and delicious. My Second visit I decided to try one of their seasonal drinks. I ordered a hot coconut drift latte with almond milk, my daughter a watermelon lemonade and a pup cup. I was really impressed with the service my dog received, as they made their pup cup from scratch! The drinks have consistently been high in quality and flavor on each visit. It's worth mentioning that they don't serve food, but they do offer some pre-packaged snacks for purchase. Fathom has officially become a part of my Saturday morning routine when I visit the farmer's market. I highly recommend giving Fathom a try if you're in the area; you definitely won't be disappointed!

The line moved quickly, and while the food took a little longer to come out, it was clearly made fresh and was flavorful and worth the wait. One thing I appreciated was how dog-friendly the atmosphere is, with dogs welcome both inside and outside. The seating is very much community-style, with shared tables and a family/neighborhood feel. We didn't mind it, but if you prefer more personal space or private seating, the close quarters may not be for you. Breakfast sandwiches were reasonably priced, generally in the $13-$15 range. My only real complaint came when I watched the top of my sandwich fall off while a crew member was moving plates around. The employee picked it up and placed it back on the sandwich with their hand after touching several other items behind the counter. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, but it did bother me and left an impression. Overall, the food was fresh and tasty, the atmosphere was lively without being too loud, and the dog-friendly environment was a nice bonus.
