This is my must-visit Korean restaurant whenever I'm in Tennessee. It doesn't show up easily when searching for Korean food on Google Maps, but their kimchi stew is incredibly generous in portion and always delicious. It's so good that I always end up eating two bowls of rice! As a sushi restaurant, their kimbap is also surprisingly tasty and well-made.

My daughter goes here all the time for her Boba. We finally decided to have lunch here. The sushi was absolutely amazing. We definitely will be back.

Super sweet server who took great care of us. The food was unique and delicious. Decor is simple and clean.

Dang. Drove all the way here with all three kids on a Monday night with a friend visiting from out of town and spent 5 minutes looking over menu while standing up at the front register and then we finally make up our minds and they say "It'll be an hour wait for food." There were only two other customers in the restaurant. One was already eating, the other- waiting. We said "Why an hour wait?" And they said it was for online orders. I made a comment about what a bummer that was for us who drove here to the restaurant and can't we receive some care since we showed up to the restaurant? The kids working here couldn't have cared less or showed any less concern for us, their physical customers. So all that to say- the sushi here IS 4.5/5 stars. And customer service is 1/5.

So, Daylight Sushi is a chill spot. The vibe is pretty laid-back, which sets the tone for a good time. The staff are cool too, super friendly and on point. Now, let's talk food. The seaweed salad? Refreshing as heck. Miso soup? Comfort food goals. And those sushi rolls? Flavor explosion, my friend. Plus, the hot green tea? Just what the doctor ordered. But here's the lowdown: the milk teas were a bit watered down. Not a deal-breaker, but worth mentioning. Overall, Daylight Sushi is legit. If you're into good vibes and tasty sushi, this place is worth checking out. P.S. Don't be misled by the sign that says "Daylight Donuts" there are no donuts to be found here.

First of all the decor and ambiance is so cute! The service is PHENOMENAL! They answer all your questions and make sure tou feel welcomed and not rushed while eating. My friend and I got bibimbap bowls and they were so fresh, hot and delicious. Great place, great food and great people. Can't wait to go back and try more traditional Korean dishes.

Recently moved from CA, trying new places in the area. We ordered To go: the Yukgajang, Miso Ramen, albacore roll, and spicy crunch roll. I love Yukgajang so much, so I really wanted to love having one close by again, but unfortunately it didn't taste very authentic, it tasted exactly like kimchi juices which is a very specific flavor and there isn't typically kimchi in Yukgajang. 2/5 Miso Ramen was decent but again not much depth to the flavor. The noodles were very good and the pork piece was tender ! 3/5 Albacore roll was decent and good bite sized , the spicy crunch roll really carried this whole meal. The SCR was really good ! 5/5 only suggestion for the sushi would be requesting it in a separate bag than the hot food because it wasn't cold when I got home (5 min away) since they were in the same bag as the soups.

My grandkids loooove doughnuts. They don't get them very often, maybe only when Grandpa comes to visit. So, when I do, I like to treat them. Daylight Doughnuts is new since I've been here last, so I wanted to give them a shot. The place was almost empty when I arrived around 10am. I told the doughnut girl that I'd like a dozen. She replied that there's not that many to choose from now because the morning rush pretty much wiped them out. I told her that there were plenty enough for my grandones, and I proceeded to choose a variety from the meager fare. The girl plopped them into the box, and out I went. As I was getting into my car, a whole slew of cars started pulling up. Maybe the signal had changed. Little did those late comers know that the best of the remaining doughnuts were in my box. Nothing but the best (or remaining best) for my grandchildren. They loved them. Luke ate his doughnut faster than he ties his shoes. Quick Tip: Get there earlier than I did.

Just when I thought I had things figured out, my daughter asked to go to Daylight Donuts...for sushi & bubble tea. Yep! This cute little donut shop also includes a sushi bar. The space is open & airy & we were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. The delicious smell of fried dough & sugar is pretty great, as are the donuts (if you get there in the morning before they sell out!). However, the sushi is made-to-order & comes out super fresh & pretty to look at. Our California roll & shrimp tempura rolls did NOT last long! They have an extensive list of sushi, as well as a great variety of bubble teas with boba. Definitely a great find!

Only go if you have plenty of time to spare. This place takes forever... they should've kept their donut system.

Everything was delicious. My favorite was the yellow sashimi. I could eat more of that! Our server was Kyler and he was fantastic. He made sure we were taken care of and at the end of the night, ordered the house sake, which Kyler highly recommended, I enjoyed the layout of the restaurant and the dark wood and bar area. It wasn't crowded on a Thursday night which I enjoyed having the restaurant to ourselves, at least it looked that way since we were in the back area across from the bar. Would definitely come back in the winter or a cold day to try the ramen.

Now... if only I could remember where I am staying. LOL. Just kidding! I made it. I got so lit in Japanese whiskey flights that I ordered enough food for two people. The "Flight to Tokyo" lived up to its namesake tremendously. That dang whiskey is wicked man. Combined with the beers that go down like water and you may be like me.... Wasted Soup dumplings are so damn cool. It's also either an engineering marvel or some sort of biblical miracle. How is the soup born inside the little dumpling?? So many questions!! I had some here and they were sure tasty!! I also had some killer crispy fried pork belly and some kick ass twice fried Korean wings!! Pork belly had tremendous umami flavors and was sticky sweet and yummy all at once! Loved it! But then came the Star.... I love chicken wings as much as I love life! That my friend, is a whole fucking lot!! I am more full of myself than you could possibly imagine. I loved these particular chicken wings a little more than life. I walked through downtown Nashville alone, on a random weeknight, just to eat these wings because I saw them on Yelp. I had already eaten dinner at Eddie V's earlier in the evening, but these wings called me from more than a mile away... Come eat me, Adam.... Is all I could hear after I saw others pictures of the wings.... Shhhh. Wings. I can't. But you must, said the wings.... I can't, I have no transportation.... The ambience is bright and energetic, with fun neon signs and decor. The space feels open and spacious with plenty of seating. We started our night with the Pork Belly Bao Buns, but since they were out of pork belly, we tried the Chinese BBQ Pork instead. I wasn't upset because they were phenomenal. The Soup Dumplings were just as amazing, but the Roti Canai (Malaysian flatbreads with curry sauce) stole the show. The curry was rich with the perfect amount of spice. You're missing out if you skip the appetizers here. For my entrée, I ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Noodle Soup, and all I can say is wow. The broth and tender wontons were the perfect combination. My boyfriend loved his Pad Thai as well, and the only downside was the portion size for the price. I want to give a huge shoutout to our server, Jaylen, for making the experience top-notch. He was incredibly attentive, patient, and offered great recommendations through the night. Hawkers is on my list for date nights, ladies' nights, or a casual evening out (especially for drinks and appetizers!)
