Bamboo House has officially become one of my favorite new go-to spots--and the fact that it's so close to home might be dangerous. Everything I've had has been fresh, hot, flavorful, and consistently delicious. This is quickly becoming one of those places where you start developing "the usual" because you already know they're going to deliver. But I have to specifically mention the egg drop soup. I've had egg drop soup from plenty of restaurants over the years, and I can confidently say this is the best I've ever had. Rich, comforting, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. I wasn't expecting the soup to steal the show, but here we are. Great food, friendly service, generous portions, and conveniently close to home. We were running errands and needed dinner so we stopped in at Bamboo House and ended up really liking this place. The vibe is super chill calm, relaxed, quiet and just an easy spot to grab dinner without any stress. It's the kind of place where you can actually chill and hear each orher while you eat lol I ordered the General Tso's chicken, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. It's not spicy, so if you like something milder, the sauces was a lot thicker than im used it and definitely wasn't spicy. The chicken is white meat, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and the sauce has great flavor without being overly sweet, could use more red chili flakes but that's my preference. My girlfriend got the chicken and broccoli, and hers came out fresh, hot, and cooked just right. We kept swapping bites and both dishes were really solid. Portions are generous definitely at least 2 portions, the service was friendly, and everything came out fast. Nothing fancy just good food in a laid back atmosphere. We left full and happy read more

The staff is friendly and attentive and the restaurant is cozy. Their kabuki is every bit as good as the more expensive show hibachi down the street. Our thoughts needed not to be on the popularity of the B H, but were better occupied by more important things, like wondering if Springhills infrastructure is going to catch up with the unbridled home construction. All of us patrons loved our meals. I had the beef noodles, my grandson the Mongolian Beef, and daughter the General Tso's chicken. Done and done. It was awfully quiet during the shoveling action. Ohhhh... was it ever a good meal. Fresh and hot. Everything was perfectly worthy of honor in the highest realm of whichever dynasty you prefer. Uhhhh, not so fast Alex J. If it was so good, then why wasn't this a five star review? Well my dear readers, it's like this. After a wonderful Chinese meal, one would expect that it would be topped off with a crisp fortune cookie with wise prophetic insights. It didn't happen in this case. Oh, the fortune was right on. Mine indicated that I am proveyor of great gastronomic knowledge. No, I didn't have issue with that tidbit of information, correct as it is, my displeasure emanated from the cookie itself. It was stale as a limp handshake. Not a good way to end a fantastic meal. Who knows, maybe they're trying to make due until the tariffs on China are settled. I went in because I was craving hibachi chicken and was already next door for a Yelp Elite Squad event. Firstly, it was hard to tell if the place was even open because most of the dining rooms lights were off and about half the chairs were up on tables. It was prime dinner time, about 6:00 or 6:30 PM. I confirmed with the person at the counter that they were open. Totally bizarre. The ordering experience was fine but the food was nearly inedible. I heard about this restaurant from a friend, she was telling me about how they had a new owner and the food was so much better! I decided to go check it out myself and it did not disappoint! I got the steak and shrimp hibachi and it was so delicious! The owner, season is very nice and welcoming! She told me about how their yum yum sauce is homemade! The restaurant is also newly renovated and it is very nice in there! I would definitely recommend for others to try! The food was so sweet. I ordered Mongolian beef. The beef tasted almost candied swimming in a super sweet sauce This dish is usually savory with caramelized onions which add a natural sweetness but in this case it was obvious that plenty of sugar was added to the sauce and beef. My favorite thing about this place is how QUICK they are! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of how expensive Chinese food has gotten. Partially not their fault because I'm sure they are just keeping up with pricing in this area. We've ordered from here multiple times, both directly through them as well as through delivery services and the food is always hot and tasty as well as large portions. I had ordered from here once before and it was good, but this time, what a huge disappointment. I was staying in a hotel not far from the Bamboo house and used Uber to pick up my order. They were thirty minutes late on delivery and the Uber driver even apologized on their behalf for being so late. I ordered the Shrimp salad and Happy family with Lo-mein ( paid extra for that too) and both were awful. the shrimp salad was frozen in the center and had to microwave it just to eat it, luckily the shrimp were in a separate container, and because they were frozen once the ice thawed it was tasteless. ate the shrimp by them selves. I ordered Happy family as my entree, and it too was cold and needed to be warmed up. It was bland, no flavor at all....it came with white rice, but I paid extra for Lo-mein and that was a no show. It was not a good decision to come here for ramen. It's a great looking hole in the wall restaurant. Few seats, tables not clean, tables were not level. First of all be of this pandemic, we are a bit vigilant about washing hands; going to the restroom was a slip and slide because of the greasy floor. The hall leading to the back of the restaurant where the restrooms is were stacked with supplies and stock. Cluttered. The restroom has NO hand soap or paper towels. Which is a concern due to this pandemic and the rule of restaurant workers must wash their hands! I looked to a worker and they were not available to inform, I tried to locate one. Yes there was hand gel... but the plunger was gross and dirty. Ewww We should have canceled our order and left but we gave it the benefit of our doubt. Our ramen noodles were NOT ramen, the broth had no flavor and they use MSG without a mention on the menu. One of our party had an allergic reaction and had to take a Benadryl to stop the allergic reaction of throat swelling. No matter what the others who came and ordered take out, and how popular this place may be for, the fact remains, the restroom did not have soap for employees to wash hands!! Disgusting. Ordered sesame chicken. They had to check if it was dark meat. If there was any meat, it was fried away to oblivion. Could have paved my driveway with that stuff. The presentation was nice, but hands down the worst food I've had. The prices are stupid, and they don't even have filtered water. It's all plastic bottles. I've ordered delivery from Bamboo House four times. Twice I ordered a "Traditional Chinese" dish and those were the best I've had outside of San Francisco's China Town. Once was good and once was mediocre, normal fair for this area. They have a great menu offering Chinese,Thai, and Japanese (ramen and sushi). I can't wait to try it "in -person." Ordered Uber eats from here, one star is being generous. I ordered hibachi filet rare and was served literal raw, uncooked bits of cut up meat. They didn't even sear the outside! I proceeded to cook it myself and had to throw it away after one bite because the meat tasted rotten and was very tough, I don't believe it was actually filet mignon. The sesame chicken I ordered was mushy and dry/stringy chicken. Rice was mushy. Dumplings also terrible. I've had meals that weren't great but you suffer through and find some good somewhere there within the bad and make do with it. But no, we spent $46 at Bamboo House and it was bad to the point we threw it out and had to go buy another dinner. My wife's orange chicken was burnt to a crisp.
