Terrible Experience for me - Not Worth the Convenience The only good thing about this hotel is its location near the convention center. Everything else was a nightmare. From the moment I checked in, the entire floor reeked of smoke. As someone with asthma and allergies, this made my stay unbearable. My room was hot and stuffy, but the air conditioning didn't work, making it even harder to breathe. I woke up congested and struggling with asthma issues. Breakfast was a joke--just a couple of English muffins, toast, and limited juice options. (We went down at 6:30 am so we didn't miss breakfast or arrive right before it was ending.) If you're going to advertise breakfast, at least provide something substantial. I had to go to Dunkin' Donuts just to get a real meal. The worst part? I had an important photography engagement at the convention center but was locked out of my room when I went to retrieve my camera. The front desk reprogrammed my key FOUR times before finally sending someone with a master key--only for that not to work either. I waited over an hour for maintenance to finally get me back in, causing me to miss my opportunity. I requested to move floors or get a refund for the second night, but the manager claimed they couldn't authorize anything and that a higher-up would contact me. I never received any call or email--zero follow-up, zero concern for my experience. To top it off, the facility was dirty, and the only working ice machine was on the 7th floor. This place is not worth the risk, especially if you have respiratory issues. The location may be convenient, but at the cost of your health and peace of mind. Stay elsewhere. Would NOT recommend.

It's is a really beautiful building. Sadly some of the employees really need to work on their attitude. Some of the rooms need to be checked so they know what's brocken and not have the customers having to go down and explain that they found something brocken or not working .

If feces, blood, and mascara on your bed sheets are your thing you'll love this place. When I called for fresh bedding i was left to change it all myself. I am a 66 year old man with health issues. I have photos and video.

AC filter. Hasn't been cleaned in years!

This was the worst "hotel" we have ever stayed in. The website says there was a pool. The pool hadn't been open since Covid days over two years ago. The website says free parking. The parking cost $35/day. The restaurant had also been closed for years. The AC filters look like they hadn't been cleaned in years. Our bathroom sink was clogged. Someone came rather quickly but he just took off the trap, drained the water but didn't clear the clog. He told us he was quitting his job that day. The refrigerator had a huge block of ice and hadn't been defrosted in years. The room had a light bulb out and the TV kept loosing a signal. OMG Stay away! We will be disputing the hotel bill with our credit card company. This place should be shut down now.

    Foot stool

If I could leave zero stars I would. I booked this hotel for a long weekend for my husband's birthday. I requested a handicapped accessible room since my husband is a paraplegic and uses a scooter to get around. The room had a regular bath tub that was so slippery my husband could not use it. The restaurant was marked as temporarily closed for renovations. There was no handicapped entrance except through the parking garage next door. The head board had scratches on it and the foot stool had some kind of sticky substance on it (pictured). The coffee machine only had one regular and one decaf pack and one sugar/creamer pack. The coffee was never replenished. I went down to breakfast and the only thing there was zip lock bags of white bread and a toaster. There was a bin of Cheerios and warm milk. The coffee containers were not heated so the coffee was cold. Definitely not the breakfast you would expect. We reserved the room for three nights and decided it was not worth staying the last night (yes we ate the cost) as the room was never cleaned while we were there. When I went to check out the person behind the desk only told me she wasn't refunding the final night and had no apologies or explanation. It was the worst experience in a hotel we have had.

First roach seen alive crawling on mirror and the wall in room 502.

Bugs!!! Roaches! Several in our group had issues and we all had the roaches in our room and on multiple floors. The photos of them alive were shown to the desk clerk. Our keys kept deactivating which was a huge inconvenience to continue to have the front desk give us new programmed keys. One member in our group had several other guests walk into their room because they were assigned the same room. A double hold was placed on my credit card and when inquiring, no one could figure it out. Also, multiple charges were put on our card. The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the convenience and location to the convention center. Upon check in, our room was not clean. There was a dirty sock still on the floor from a previous guest. I saw an employee in the hall and he came in to get it for us but that should have never happened. The tub had foot prints in it which easily wiped out with a wash cloth which tells me the room was never cleaned! Booking for our group was a complete nightmare as well.

Overall I really like my stay here. It was super close to all the activities ... Power Plant, Aquarium, Inner Harbor Shops & Restaurants, plus convention center were all within walking distance. Ball parks etc were quick car ride away. The building and rooms appear older but definitely satisfactory. I loved the fitness center in the basement. More than adequate up to date equipment to get great workouts Also security was excellent!! They definitely walked the premises frequently. I only did not like the $31 per day parking.

He was engaging, charismatic, and clearly knew the property and its history inside and out. That kind of welcome makes a difference. We were in Suite 18, which sits in a separate tower connected to the spa. The room itself was well appointed. You can tell nothing in there was inexpensive, and everything was fresh and well maintained, no wear, no chipped paint, nothing neglected. If I'm being honest, some of styling is starting to feel a touch dated in places, but that's a matter of taste more than quality. One note, and to be totally fair it was an unbelievably hot day: when we returned from dinner the room was in the mid to high 70s, and it took about an hour and a half to cool down. The staff explained we needed to lower the thermostat in 2-degree increments rather than setting it straight to our target, and they were right, it worked. Still, that's a bit of a workaround at this price point. A lovely property with genuinely gracious service. We'd stay again.

The soaking tub was deep enough to swim in. The spa gifted me with a bath bomb which made for a truly relaxing soak session. I will most definitely be returning.

We were assigned a room on the same floor as the lobby, just past the fitness center. From the outside it was as if we were on the second floor. Our single bed was quite wide, the ceiling above the bed was very high, but the bathroom was small, had no spare toilet paper, and only two hooks to hang anything, which made it tough to hang clean clothing and towels to dry for two guests who do not share towels. Speaking of which, towels provided were limited, so when I found a stain on my bath towel and requested a fresh one, they brought me a whole set. After our time here I saw a video by theholdernessfamily mentioning hotel bathrooms with barn doors that don't close tightly. I didn't realize that was a thing. But it proved true here! Also clear glass shower doors which make it impossible to share the bathroom with a gal pal while someone is showering. Our across the hall neighbor was loud. It was as if there was an open house party each night from about 10:30pm to 11:45pm with all the loud comings and goings. Their 24 hour gym had a water fountain. It proved to be an excellent base for a short family getaway. The Positives: 1) Room Setup: We appreciated having two queen beds, which worked perfectly for a family of three. Both beds were comfortable, and the room layout felt functional rather than cramped. 2) Location: The hotel's proximity to major attractions was ideal. On our first full day, we walked about 10 minutes along the waterfront to the National Aquarium, which made for an easy and pleasant outing. The next day, we made a similarly short walk to the Port Discovery Children's Museum (formerly known as the Children's Discovery Center). In both instances, being able to walk back and forth without relying on transportation made the trip significantly smoother with a young child. 3) Staff and Service: The staff were consistently helpful. The concierge lounge attendants were friendly, and the front desk team handled check-in and check-out efficiently. On our departure day, we were able to store our luggage seamlessly after checking out, which allowed us to enjoy a few more hours in the area without feeling encumbered. 4) Elevators: This may seem like a small operational detail, but it mattered. We were on the 21st floor, and the concierge lounge is on the 31st. Because there is no direct elevator connection between those floors, we frequently had to ride down to the lobby and transfer elevators. Despite this added movement, the elevators were consistently quick and efficient. We never found ourselves waiting long, even during busier periods--a notable plus in a large waterfront hotel. 5) Concierge Lounge: The lounge was a real asset, particularly on our first evening. After traveling, it was convenient to piece together a full dinner from the generous spread available there. The following morning was more uneven--they ran out of food earlier than expected due to heavier foot traffic--but this appeared to be more of a planning miscalculation than neglect. Overall, having access to the lounge added meaningful value to our stay. (Lounge access is limited to Marriott Bonvoy members with elite status, which fortunately my wife has because of her frequent travels.) 6) Breakfast Buffet: We opted for the breakfast buffet on our final morning. At $32 per person, it is undeniably expensive. That said, the quality and variety justified the price. The offerings were extensive: oatmeal, grits, pork and chicken sausage, bacon, home fries, scrambled eggs, pancakes, made-to-order omelets and waffles, juices, coffee, and more. It was a comprehensive, well-executed American breakfast spread. Overall: For a short family trip to Baltimore, the Marriott Waterfront struck the right balance between comfort, convenience, and service. The location alone makes it highly attractive for families planning to explore the Inner Harbor area, and the operational execution--from elevators to luggage storage--was smooth. We would gladly consider staying here again on a future visit.

Rooms are well-appointed and spacious. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was perfect. There was a crayon on the floor, which gave me pause on the cleanliness, though other than that, the room seemed very clean. There is plenty of storage, but I can always appreciate more hooks. We utilized the spa, which was awesome, and appreciated the in-room dining. Our in-room dining server was extremely friendly and funny, which was nice, though our breakfast order was extremely delayed. At least it was good, which is more than I can say for the hotel's other offerings. The hotel restaurants, while elegant with fairly good service, provided food and libations that were mid, if I'm being generous. This was a celebratory stay, and nothing ruins that more than inferior food, which we experienced. Valets were friendly and funny, though they forgot to extend our parking, so we ended up with a ticket (which was adjudicated, but still, not something you expect from the Four Seasons). A dull menu is a disappointment, but an undercooked entree is a safety hazard. During our visit, a…read morebasic chicken dish arrived at our table visually underdone and noticeably pink near the bone--a fundamental kitchen error that instantly shatters any illusion of five-star luxury. It is one thing for a luxury menu to be safe and uninspired; it is another entirely when the kitchen completely fails to execute the basics. From uneven cooking temperatures to a general lack of seasoning discipline, the line feels entirely unmonitored. At a property of this tier, diners expect precision. Instead, the plates suggest a kitchen completely on autopilot, mailing in basic preparations that would be unacceptable at a standard neighborhood pub, let alone a five-star harbor terrace. The glaring gap here isn't just the lack of a 'wow' factor--it's the absence of foundational execution. When a premium-priced kitchen stumbles on simple techniques, the luxury facade completely crumbles. For a high-tier property like the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore, missing the mark on foundational kitchen skills is the ultimate sin. The marketing promises an ultra-luxury experience--such as Chef Mackenson Horebe's Summer Cookout Dinner Series--but if basic line-cook items are being botched, the kitchen is simply coasting on the hotel's five-star reputation. While a boring menu is disappointing, an unsafe plate is unacceptable. It proves that the kitchen lacks basic supervision or expediting discipline. A chef actively managing their kitchen does not let raw poultry pass the pass. At these steep price points, you are paying for absolute culinary precision. Instead, the kitchen line seem to be operating with zero oversight. Sending out undercooked poultry isn't just a sign of a kitchen mailing it in; it's a failure of basic execution that should never occur in a premium establishment, let alone a global luxury brand. The glaring gap between the property's glamorous marketing and its actual execution became painfully obvious when a companion's chicken dish arrived dangerously undercooked. It turns out the menu isn't just 'vanilla'--the kitchen staff can't even be bothered to execute the absolute basics of safe temperature control. A luxury dining room should never operate on autopilot. From the uninspired flavor profiles to catastrophic technical errors like undercooked chicken, the hotel's culinary team is coasting entirely on the brand's name. Save your money and explore Baltimore's actual, vibrant food scene elsewhere--this one is a passive, corporate disappointment.
