They were always friendly, did excellent work, and their prices--especially for alterations--were fair and reasonable. Unfortunately, my experience with the new ownership was completely different. I brought in two simple sundresses that each needed only a basic hem. I was quoted $50 per dress, or $100 total. The cost of the alterations was more than the dresses were worth, so I politely decided to take them elsewhere. The part that disappointed me most was the way I was treated after declining the service. The owner appeared annoyed, rolled the dresses up into a ball, handed them back to me, and walked away. I wanted to try a dry cleaning place next to my home so I figured I'd give them a shot. Dry cleaning was fine but the girl was so incredibly rude. She stated their policy of a $20 minimum on credit cards but looked at me like I was trying to rip them off or something. No problem, went to the ATM next door, paid my bill, and never went back. I wouldn't go back if you paid me. I get it, you have a minimum, but no need to be nasty about it. Now I go to the place by the mall. The man there is very kind and courteous. I wish I could give no stars, but I had to leave at least one in order to leave a review. I will never ever go to Dazzle again after what happened. I dropped off a gown to get hemmed for my brothers wedding... I was in the party... maid of honor. The dress was insanely long, and the seamstress folded and pinned up to 4 inches of fabric, with my heels on. Told me it would be finished in two weeks... to pick up the day before the wedding. I called after a week to see if I could pick it up sooner, woman tells me it's done . I pick it up... leave hung since it was pressed... day of wedding put it on.... it was never hemmed. The entire night I was miserable bec I was tripping everywhere including down the aisle. I paid $70 for literally nothing! Do yourself a favor and go to a reliable cleaners. read more

Seamstress is a cute old lady but she robs you!!!! $95 to get a 2 layer chiffon dress hemmed 3 inches & the shoulders taken up 1 inch?? I'm not a seamstress but I do know when I'm getting ripped off. Does the owner know what goes on or regulate these prices??? Never will return. read more

Brought my suit and shirt there to be dry cleaned. picked up suit and shirt..hung them in closet for 3 weeks...then put them on for a event. The sleeves on the shirt and jacket were 3 inches shorter. I spoke to Sal who is the owner and of course he says they didn't do it... ??? The pants fit fine..the jacket buttoned...?? Even when the shirt and jacket are on a hanger you can notice that there is something wrong.. He refused to even take any blame...says it was me...so now I'm out a suit.. I use them & find there service fine . What I have a problem with is 1 out of 3 wearing a mask & that was only after I walked in .. the tailor no mask & shirt guy no mask. If u r dealing with the public put ur mask on, wear it correctly & leave it on. Period... read more

I've been going out of my way for many years to bring my business here. Recently, their service has gone downhill while their prices have gone up. If I could give Dazzle Cleaners zero stars that is what I would've picked. Went to get alterations for a dress on the day and at the time I was advised and Lena the seamstress was rude because it was 4 o'clock and she leaves at 5 o' clock. She is a very arrogant rude women and instead of kindly asking me to come back another day or just have me try on the dress she flipped out said she was too busy and stormed off saying.. whatever. She is very unprofessional and doesn't know the definition of customer service. No longer will be doing any business with arrogant people as herself. read more

Very expensive. Price posted to dry clean a coat costs at $15.50 but I was charged $21. When I complained , they lowered it to $18. Womans plain wool coat size small. Also the wonderful seamstress is retiring. No point anymore read more

Don't normally write reviews never mind bad reviews, be that as it may I must write this review. I have no idea how the place stays in business. I was a customer years ago until they lost a pair of my pants to a suit and refused to replace it. Most recently I have been taking advantage of the low cost shirt laundering. Until I picked up the last batch of shirts that were for lack of better terms filthy the collars stained,sleeves stained the shirts if possible were dirtier than when I dropped them off. I figured easy fix I'll go back and have them re-clean them, when I asked the girl at the counter she told me no if you want your collars clean you have to dryclean them we don't concentrate on cleaning them when you get them laundered. I thought for a second maybe I was wrong so I did some research and found many articles saying the proper way to clean your shirts is to laundry them. Save yourself the trouble this place as terribly rude service and terrible product. I will spend the extra $.60 to get my shirts cleaned at other locations that concentrates on cleaning. read more

The steam stress was rude, didn't let me speak as soon as I walked in she said "no time to do it" I get maybe she had a lot of stuff to do but she didn't even ask when it was needed by which was in a month, I don't recommend this place as far as it goes for alterations read more

Horrible... was told the seamstress was great. I was excited to go to have my engagement dress taken in after waiting a week to come. I would drive from my home in Tottenville to bring my clothes here. Sadly I take my business elsewhere. This place lost my silk handkerchief that I wore the day of my wedding. This was after they ruined my wife's skirt on a separate occasion. Both times they refused to assume any responsibility. I'm unsure why I remained a customer after the first issue. The owner was nowhere to be found on either occasion and never called me back even after I requested an explanation. A credit was never offered or an apology. In fact they tried to blame it on me. That I must have picked up the handkerchief and lost it and my wife must of snagged her dress with a piece of jewelry. Both were 100% false. I will end my review with a final statement yelpers. I took my bridesmaid dress here to get hemmed and cups(that I purchased) to be sewn into dress. They charged my $79. When I went to pick up my dress, I thought that i had already paid but my receipt showed unpaid. As I was looking though my debit card transactions the lady became very nasty with me accusing me of lying. She was speaking so loudly and then snatched my dress and put it in the back. There were many people in the store and I was very embarrassed. I realized that I did forget to pay and went back later to pick up dress and paid then. There are too many cleaners in Staten Island to give business to nasty people. read more

Lena is a nice woman and does good work but I think it's ridiculous that Dazzle charges $70 to hem a dress when the dress didn't cost me much more than that. Their prices are absurd and I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. read more

They're not a bad place but they're not that great. Some things I didn't like is that they had a credit card minimum of $20. Also, my wife brought my shirts there and they decide to rush the order for her and not telling her that it'll be more money. They charge about $1.20 for wash and dry of a shirt. If you want it rushed (next day) it'll cost you $1.60. If they could change one thing, I wish they remove the credit card minimum. read more
