The process was nice and easy c we didn't ride no long but we did enjoy the ride to the MGM casino from the harbor. The trail was easy and the weather beautiful. BEST day we had in D.C. Hands down. We were able to visit all the monuments we wanted (WWII, Lincoln Memorial (daytime and nightime, Arlington, Georgetown, etc.) We started out with a couple hour rental adn changed our minds and decided we wanted them for the whole day w were having so much fun. So, we called Greg and he met us with refreshed batteries and chargers so they'd last when we rode them from all the way to Georgetown, found a restaurant that would let us take them inside and charge them while we ate, and rode back so we could be pictures of the Lincoln Memorial at night! It was so gorgeous! Our day on Greg's Segs stood out as the highlight in our four-day Washington D.C. family vacation. We were able to cover miles and miles of ground and visit more attractions and monuments than we would have ever been able to do without these easy-to-ride city-sized segways. And the best part? One of our most fun and memorable days in DC was the day that we rented scooters to visit all of the national monuments. We spent seven hours on the scooters going to many incredible sites. Greg was awesome to work with and so patient while instructing 12 people, most of whom have never ridden a scooter before. He was on time dropping off the scooters right at our hotel. My husband and I rented these electric scooters in late September and had a wonderful time exploring the Mall, monuments, neighborhoods. The scooters were delivered to our AirBnB and picked up the next day. They were in great condition, were fully charged and had good locks. My husband is 81 and I am 66, but we had no issues operating the scooters. Gregs Segs is the best way to get around DC, hands down. I took my boyfriend to DC for his bday and wanted a fun and different activity to do during the day. Trust me when I say these aren't your normal segways! They're smaller and faster and SO much fun to ride around on. They're pretty easy to get the hang of too. Greg was so easy to get in contact with and was so helpful and fun to talk to! I was late to our meet up place to get the segs so, even though I only rented the segs for 3 hours, Greg said we could have them for almost the whole day if we wanted! He is super flexible and just really wants you to have a good time. My boyfriend and I had a great time and didn't want to give them up at the end of the day lol that's saying a lot considering my bf is very hard to please! 3 days in DC are not enough but with Greg's segs we were able to zoom around town and see all of DC's beautiful monuments and memorials. Good time at a great price. We rented two Segway's for three hours. Great way to get around the mall. Greg met us just outside the mall and then again at the end. Easy to use the mini segways. Rented 3 scooters from Greg on a spur of the moment trip to D.C. Great communication when I texted him about having 3 scooters available. We were not sure how long we wanted to rent them for so we started with 2 hours and Greg was very accommodating for the flexibility to ride longer if we chose to. I would never use DC Scooter again. I rented 6 scooters for four hours on July 7. The driver dropped off the scooters 30 minutes late because according to her "the previous party gave me the wrong address so I've been stuck in traffic." The driver then offered to give me an extra hour free or to take an hour off of our rental charge. We couldn't use the extra free hour because we had an appointment at the Spy Museum so I said I'd take the discount. DC Scooter never followed up and never provided a credit. I disputed 25% of the charge with Visa and DC Scooter would still not provide the credit so I was stuck paying for 4 hours of a 6-scooter rental even though they were late dropping off the scooters and did not follow-up with the refund offer they told me I would get. Just a terrible way to operate a business. And I'll admit, the scooters were fun but we lost out on valuable time seeing DC on our only day in the city. read more

Rented a Scooter last November in the Monuments area of DC from BIRD Co. for my Granddaughter for an hour. Sign on the scooter says $1.00 per hour. Just put your cc in the slot. After an hour and a half we left the Bird Scooter next to a tree for another person to use. Seemed like a good deal. Later found out that the Company charged me about $80 for that hour and half, and that the account would be refilled when used up. No email from them--nothing. Just charges. I tried to get then to make an adjustment, but not dice...they got their money, and were not about to give any back. Had to cancel my credit card. It was 50 degrees and raining today and we still had the best time ever zipping around DC on Gregs mini-segways. He delivered to our hotel and was incredibly flexible with both drop off and pick up. Greg was easily accessible and responsive via text/email and the entire process was super easy.
