What do you expect from the name...DD's Discounts??? These stores, for the most part, replaced the old Albertson's, and for some reason these venues appear to be in some sketchy areas. This one is no exception. I figured it was going to be like Ross(that I compare to an indoor flea market), with marked down, out of season, cheaper clothes scattered on the floor. Surprisingly, this location was clean and bright. They have nice big display signs telling you where things are, and for the most part is decently organized. I could totally buy soo many things for my home. I guess I am not a high priced woohaa when it comes to this stuff...but I almost bought 400 thread count cotton sheets. It's like a scavenger hunt, and if you are open to exploration...you will find what you need or don't need. Either way, I walked out with a shower mat, some towels, and a dish rack. My mom and I came here so I could purchase a cheap slow cooker, it works. The line was a little long to pay but whatever. I really would only come here to get starter appliances or baking pans. Ross' sister chain, but DDs has better stuff a lot of the time! Especially this location! I find home goods, purses, clothes, etc. here for less than the other discount chains and products I am more fond of. This location isn't in a great area but I've never felt unsafe in the store and there are always plenty of people on staff. From my experience, I went to this place to get scrubs for my work and I have seen that some of the scrubs are DUSTY. Like really? Like clean the clothes good! Another thing I didn't like is how you are limited with 5 clothes to go in the fitting room and I had like 17 clothes and I had to try 5 clothes at a time and it was such a hassle. Last thing I disliked, is how they had 1 cashier that was available and there was a long line waiting! And their manager was there to watch and was injured. Like really? And I got this scrub top that was supposed to be a paired up with the matching pants but they said they cannot find which they won't let me purchase it which I find it stupid of the managers choice. I give them 5 stars! Because every time for last 10 years or so that I shop there I find excellent deals. Yesterday I got a super deal on ladies elegant stylish shoes $2.99-$8.99 so happy I would have spent at least $80 or much more somewhere else at the mall, men's under apparel sets 3 for $3.99, also really nice sports shoes, which I got as well! bunch of household items at ridiculous discounts and so trendy and elegant! It's true that only one register was open but then again I was the only one checking out, besides the customer in front of me was almost done. The customer service was super friendly while I shopped and also at checkout when I had questions about the items they were more then happy to help. By the way excellent selection on Purses, super cute!! If you frugal and into design and fashion and want to look great, and have nice things in the house, you don't have to spend a fortune! well if you want to find the best prices in town go to this place. They have the cutest clothes that I've seen at the mall. I mean i always shop at Forever 21, charlotte russee, styles, etc...i've seen way better clothes in this place and the best part is its soo cheap. I just got 5 jackets, a pair of flat shoes, a pair of jeans ,socks, pj and shirts just under 100 dollars. Where else can u find something like that??? This is my cheap go to place for the normal household stuff (bathroom and decorative items)............ Clothes- don't get your hopes up on them lasting years. I purchased a $4.99 shirt and found that it only lasted about 3 washes. No complaints though, it's to be expected. You get what you pay for. If you want a lot for your money, this is the place to go!!!! I love this location! They always have great deals! The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome.

So first of all, I know this place is a disorganized mess, I expected it. I heard there was pretty cute clothing at a reasonably low price. So I went in for a gift purchase & to buy myself a little something quick. The racks were a tsunami of clothes, so you really have to look though everything to find what you want. When I found something, I went to the dressing room with three items. The girl let me in, & I was greeted by the most horrendous smell in the fitting rooms. It was SO AWFUL & I couldn't even try anything on, I had to get out of there before I threw up. While I was outside the fitting room, I wanted to tell the attendant, but she was already in a very loud conversation with another employee. The cash register system is very bad to me, they allow the next person in line to come up so they can start to be rung up & I just feel rushed trying to put my money back & get my stuff quickly. All the employees, again, were conversing very loudly with one another. Good price on certain items but I'll probably never return. read more

I rememeber the Big red K that used to adorn the top of the sign at the corner of fruitdale and southwest, until it was turned into a Big Kmart, they removed the K, then after the demo of the store, the sign layed cut down for 3 years. any ways dd's is a good alternative to the kmart, it has much of what i used to buy at kmart, but it still isnt the same and now we dont have a supermarket or large department store. hopefully something will build near here, target would be excellent, wal mart, maybe, i would only go if it was within 5 minutes of here. read more

If you want inexpensive clothes, shoes, purses, underwear, home decor you can find it here. Unfortunately the store is very unorganized with clothes and stuff all over the place So if the sales people maybe took a little bit of time to clean up it might be nicer. I found some nice pillow cases, cooking pans and bathroom stuff here so I was very happy. The lines are long sometimes. It is very similar to Ross. read more

I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone! I am so angry about the customer service i received. I had a TERRIBLE experience here. I went in a bought my daughter an Elmo outfit. It had a shirt and short and was security tagged together so you couldn't steel it or separate the two pieces. Well I got it home and went to put it on her a few days later and the shorts were a different size than the shirt! My daughter was so disappointed. So i went into the store and of course i hadn't planned on returning anything so i didn't save my receipt. At first i was told there was absolutely nothing that could be done. How did they know i bought it there if i didn't have a receipt. Than after some discussion the woman i was talking to said they could look at the security tape the day i purchased it. So i said fine. Well the person who could look at the security tape was busy so walked around in the baby clothes looking for an Elmo outfit to exchange the outfit i had bought. I only found one other Elmo outfit, and of course it was different and half the price i had paid. And when i looked at it i was very surprised to see that it as well had 2 different sizes held together with a security tag. To make a long story short they never looked at the security tape. i asked to speak to the manager but she would only talk to me on the phone, she wouldn't come out to speak to me in person. She sent someone out to tell me if i returned the shirt and shorts i bought i could have a whopping $6 back. I paid $13. I suggested that they take back the shorts that didn't fit and give me another pair or give me $6 and I'll keep the Elmo shirt (which my daughter was already wearing). I was told there was no way the could do that because they can't sell half an outfit if i return only the shorts....HELLO they sold me two different halves of an outfit! I found another outfit in the store with two different sizes security tagged together. Clearly they don't care if they sell anyone 2 different halves of an outfit!
