I was extremely dissapointed with DDT Delivery. We had agreed on a price and time a week in advance. The night before, they try to raise the price. Then they never actually showed up because "we didn't confirm that morning", despite having discussed the night before. We have had to find an alternative the day of our move because DDT simply did not show up and they did not answer the phone. If you value your time and have to move, DDT is not the right company to hire. read more

DDT workers were very efficient, worked hard, and were very careful with our items. They packed everything well and helped us set up things when we got to the new place. However, they arrived at 9:30 when we agreed upon an 8AM start time. And despite this inconvenience and the fact it pushed our day and move completely off, they still chose to stand firm on charging us full quoted price. They claimed that they were already giving a huge discount compared to other companies for their services but we felt that although that may be true, they completely disregarded the value of our time. We know this work is tough and things happen, however, we still felt that we should've had some sort of inconvenience fee given how much it threw off the rest of the day. We paid them because we did not feel like arguing after an early morning and believe in karma. But I would recommend you define the terms for if they arrive late before you agree to their services. We were highly disappointed in this lack of fairness and customer service. Based on that we will not hire this service again in the future and caution others who might want to hire them. read more

They quoted a fair price and did a fantastic job. They were responsive, on time, honest and great to work with.

Overall not happy with it. A few caveats: 1) Check the material fee if you decide to use their packing service, turns out they charged hundreds of bulks on the boxes on top of their hourly rates. Would be good to share the estimated numbers beforehand. 2) Not quite efficient, movers are a bit slow overall so spent much more time than expected. It's also the first time I heard "a paid timeout" for moving. They'd like to keep the meter on while they're on a 30 mins break. 3) Some delicate items were damaged (see pic): one monitor, one baking pan and a cabinet. It's a little unsurprised because during the packing time, the group keeps asking us if we have more towel or clothes for protecting the furnitures/ electronics, instead using bubble wrap or other professional packing materials. As such, most of our furnitures were only covered by towels with tapes. Would not recommend the service. read more

I thought the communication was good , but on the day of moving , there was some problems . 2 extra movers , the boss said he needed , so I agreed . They were in a big hurry to get it done as they were late due to a truck problem . It was raining and they were not happy about that either .They ended up breaking my desk , not putting the furniture back together properly , and I recovered things on the street they dropped . What a nightmare. Completely unreliable and unprofessional. Canceled multiple times on me on the day of. Had a 9am move scheduled but the crew did not show up. After calling him several times because of his no-show, Daniel, the owner, canceled. Just additional background, this is during Covid so EVERYBODY is moving. I knew it would be hard to get movers closer to date so I scheduled a move with DDT a month in advance. They confirmed all details. Daniel's excuse was his "office" made a mistake with scheduling. As far as I remember, I scheduled directly with him and even received confirmation from him so it just sounded like a business owner with lack of integrity. Afterwards, he said his current job is close to me so he can guarantee to get to me at 1pm. I reluctantly agreed. But at 11am, he canceled. Excuse this time? He was just informed his first job site elevator was broken. I was moving from a building with strict rules in terms of move out time and extended stays. I was also taking pto for the move + having my family help me on receiving end (so they had to clear calendar too). I also knew it would be hard to find a replacement crew.. it just put me in a really difficult place. I called several other Bay Area movers at that point and, as expected, they were all booked. One company rep even told me, "everybody's booked for the next month!" Yes, totally aware. That is why I scheduled DDT a month in advance. And yet, they flaked. Multiple times. He said he can move me the next morning but why would I trust him again? He was just keeping me waiting so that he selfishly can have jobs lined up. read more

The most recent was from Berkeley to SF, where my new apartment has a really steep staircase. We reached out to DDT moving as we needed to move from our apartment into a 1 floor walk up 30 minutes away. Daniel's response was prompt and full of information I needed to plan for moving day. We coordinated through email (just needed the 1) and moving was set for 9 am today (Oct 7th). Daniel and his team mate were efficient, communicated clearly and moved everything cleanly. They even had a bag of tools which even had something that was useful for our bed with weird screws (we have kept the tool but those were already packed to move). What impressed us the most (so grateful for this!) was their ability to pack furniture, move heavy furniture and boxes and ask focused questions all around a 20 month toddler who was all too happy to see other humans in her house and then wanted to be right there 'helping them'... she was 100% in the way and 100% being herself around them. She was extremely comfortable around them (which is unusual, she even wanted to give them a hug when they were leaving). They were also so careful around her that while we did try our best to be good parents and keep her entertained, there was a lot of time she did spend coming in there way. I wish I could leave no stars. Daniel was supposed to be at my place 7am this morning. Informed me the evening before one of his trucks broke down. We agreed he could be at my place at 1pm. I've hired DDT to help me with my moving situation 3 times, and every time has been smooth. Daniel has been great with communication and has been super flexible during the move. With my recent move a few weeks ago, he showed up 15-20 mins early and got to work right away. The whole move from start to finish finished within an hour, and that's all I could ask for. I rarely write reviews anymore since most businesses are a solid 7 out of 10. Good but not great. But let me tell you about Daniel and his team. They were absolutely BRILLIANT!!! If I could give them a 100 out of 10, I would. And just so that you all understand my experience - I have moved across the country 4 times in the last 8 years and this time we had 3 separate moves in the last month. Daniel was meeting me at my storage units (yes 2 of them) on a Sunday at 8:30am and I booked him only 2 weeks before after my first mover, who helped us put the items in storage, flaked on me. I emailed him first to make my appt and then used text to confirm 2 additional times. He was HIGHLY communicative on text and I had no issues whatsoever. Please also remember he is working and on the job, and sometimes moves are not smooth. But the highlight of the move was that Daniel was super professional, FAST, Meticulous and most importantly had no major or minor incidences. He fixed the shoddy work of the moving team that put all our stuff in storage. His team was courteous, and wore their mask the entire time which made us feel more comfortable. Daniel helped me move into my new house - they dropped off boxes in advance for me to borrow, provided wardrobe boxes, and showed up on time to help me move. They put down blankets to protect the floor, moved things from room to another as needed, and had a great attitude. They were efficient as well as cost-effective, I would highly recommend them! Daniel also helped me move a couch from a furniture store in SF as a lower price than the store was charging. When he came to move the couch into my house, I had a different couch that needed to be moved to a different room. It was a hard maneuver, but he was patient and thoughtful in how he did it despite being painted into a corner (literally).
