I needed to find movers to help me with just a few days notice. Wendy at Oasis was very friendly and helpful over the phone and was able to get me scheduled for the day (and time!) that I needed. Rates were competitive and she gave me a two hour minimum which was exactly what I needed. Most other moving companies I contacted had a three hour minimum. Day of: moving team showed up exactly on time. There was a language barrier but we were able to communicate well enough, and Wendy was available to translate over the phone when the movers had some concerns about my uhaul not being large enough. Dressers and other things with "moving parts" were wrapped in plastic that they provided. These guys were rockstars going up and down my flight of stairs and porch steps with their dollies, and were able to Tetris in all of my non-standardized sized belongings. Everything held secure and survived my drive from SF to Sacramento without sliding or falling. Would use again in the future if I had the need. read more

Overall, set up and coordination with Wendy was very smooth. Movers arrived on time and ready to work. They were super efficient and loaded/unloaded with strategy and decent care. The guys smelt like 6 packs of cigarettes and a long night but I could get over that considering they were doing tough work. My real issues began with the movers asking/demanding we buy them lunch (where I spent $60 dollars to keep the positivity as they were handling all of our belongings), but that was never expressed by Wendy when we set up the service and was uncomfortable in the moment. Most frustrating was when all was said and done I paid cash with a 22% tip and the lead mover was unprofessional and basically told me "that's it" which really rubbed me the wrong way. In my confirmation, tip "was recommended" and a provided lunch was never discussed or suggested. We used Oasis Movers for our first move in SF this week. They're amazing! Ignore the 1 star reviews, most of them are talking about cross-country moves that Oasis doesn't even do, so they probably have the wrong company. Wendy is SUPER responsive and gave us clear guidance on what we would need to do before the move and on the day of. She was also extremely prompt in liaising with our new apartment building that needed COI documentation. The movers themselves are really sweet! They only speak Mandarin, but we had no issues communicating between Wendy translating when needed and my super basic mandarin. Though Oasis and other companies estimated that the 3B2B move would take 8-9 hours, the movers packed up and moved in our things in just 4.5 hours, including transport & a short break. The movers were working literally non-stop!Nothing was damaged and the movers were extremely careful with our TV and more fragile things. Though I would say that we already packed 90% of our things pretty well so they only had to move boxes & wrap our larger furniture. We had issues with someone parking in our spot before the move and had to order a tow that took ~20mins, but Oasis only charged us once the spot became available, which really took the pressure off a potentially stressful day :) All in all, we paid $940 before tip for 5h of work + gas. Moving experience with Oasis left a really bad taste. Scheduling was fine. They called to confirm the appointment the day before and 3 movers showed up and packed the truck, but it was really more like 2.5. I walked down to the truck and saw one of them sitting in there on his phone. He got up after he saw me. They charged for the total time of the move, including lunch. They didn't take a long break for lunch but they asked us to buy them lunch (which we did) and they want to charge us for eating it too?! They also stretched the start time (showed up ten minutes late but counted the top of the hour) and the end time (dragged out 10-15 minutes to count another half hour). The worst part is we gave each of them a generous tip and they had the nerve to say it was on the low end and ask for more. We basically paid for them to go away. They also left a mess of packaging trash in the garage. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with this BS. read more

We've used Oasis for three different moves over the last 6 years and they've been a wonderful resource each time. They're conscientious, very timely and efficient with the move. They wrap all the furniture and are able to assemble and disassemble quite effectively - we appreciate the care they take moving furniture and the effort they take to protect the floors and walls. It's very cost effective and in our last move they even helped with packing as well (I was 8 months pregnant!). Things to note - it's helpful if you can speak a little Chinese and for larger moves you may want to ask for more movers (their standard equation seems to always be one truck with three guys ) worked great moving into / out of a 1200sqft apartment, less optimal when moving in/out of a full house with more square footage. That said, even with our last move the guys were extremely dedicated and made sure we moved everything that day, even though it ran much later than we had planned. read more

This is my second time using Oasis Moving Company. Scheduling is easy. Wendy is very responsive and up front about everything. I'm moving out of my small 2 bedroom house to a new updated house 4 miles away. On the day of, they showed up on-time. The guys are friendly and polite. English is limited tho but we understand each other. :) Their truck is very clean and a new model. It has every tools and equipment that they need to do their job effectively. The movers wrapped furniture carefully and they work fast! No confusion. They've done this many many times. A big plus, they helped us breakdown a queen size bed and reassembled it back at the new house AND they put floor protector down on the new place, so no scuff mark on the brand new floor. We thought we can move out and in within 5-6 hours BUT we under estimated how much gardening/outdoor living stuff we have. We ended up finish the move in 8 hours! Poor guys, they have to go to another moving job. We tipped them very well (we hope). They deserve it. If you have a big move, like mine - choose first slot of the day. read more

I would give Oasis 3 and a half stars (but can't do a half). I booked Oasis on the recommendation of a friend after another moving company was unable to do our move. Pros-- efficient scheduling, arrived on time, fairly quick with moving, it took 4 hours for a 1 bedroom apartment. Wore masks. Cons-- Scratched the gold base of my marble table on the way in and there was a small black mark on my couch that we were unable to remove. Also didn't have shoe covers when we asked them to wear it on our new carpet. We noticed one guy taking a smoke break inside the truck when the truck was being packed. I'm ok with taking a smoke break but preferably not in a semi-enclosed space next to my stuff. Outside would have been a better choice! Also the same guy used my bathroom and was in there a while, but when you gotta go, you gotta go I guess, lol! Overall they got the job done. read more

My husband and I worked with Wendy 10 years ago to move into our condo in SF. At the time, it was just the two of us and we were so impressed by how easy it was to work with Wendy and how swift and organized the movers were. We moved into our place in practically no time. My husband had said: I would do another move just to utilize them again! Fast forward 10 years and now we have two extra human beings. A few days ago, we moved from our condo to a home in SF and my husband and I were blown away again by how Wendy was so responsive scheduling our move and how efficient Ho and the team seamlessly packed and moved what felt like an endless number of items. At many points during the move, I became frustrated by how many things we accumulated over the years but Ho and his team were actually extremely kind, trying to even comfort me that it's normal that to end up with this many items without knowing it (all the while lifting our insanely heavy dining table and packing up a giant box of our winter coats!). The team was careful, never once scraping any walls and methodical, asking where items should go and even directing us to focus on certain areas so that they could finish as quickly as possible. You can't ask for a better team of movers or a better moving company to work with. Although I never ever want to move again, if we are ever forced to, we are totally going to go with Oasis Moving. Second time using Oasis, and had a great recent experience for a big move. Wendy was easy to schedule with and was responsive to questions around furniture assembly/disassembly (they do), wardrobe boxes (don't bother packing hung clothes!) Their rate is competitive and we worked with 3 movers for ~7 hours. Crew was professional and thoughtful about protecting our heavier and fragile items, and neighbors commented about their respectful with the shared spaces. Despite having stairs in the move out and move in, the crew didn't complain and effectively used dollies to move in and out. Some of the negative Yelp comments the surprise of buying lunch and tips... these guys are helping you with HARD work, so ordering a lunch box (Rooster and Rice sets!) and paying reasonable tips seems reasonable to me. read more

This is my second time using Oasis Moving Company, and they did a great job again. Wendy Liu was very easy to work with via phone calls and email. She was up front with pricing, and offered dates for us to work with immediately, versus what her competitors would do and just send me a generic email template. I get it, this is a business filled with LOTS of inquiries, but I like that Wendy and Oasis Moving Company offered a little bit of a human touch. Movers arrived promptly. English is not their first language, but communication was very doable. They asked what needed to be moved and what didn't. They clarified again, just to make sure what was staying and going as the move progressed. As they were finishing up, they asked if we were happy with where everything was placed. Once you give the final approval, they calculate the price for you. I've glanced over a few of these reviews, with tip haggling being mentioned. I don't work in the service industry, but I do have lots of empathy for those that work for tips. I tried to tip well in this instance, because moving a home is a lot of back-breaking, hard work. At the end of the day, I would use these guys again. Moving a home isn't cheap, but it's a lot better than doing it yourself. You're paying for convenience, and I'm happy to do that with Oasis Moving Company. read more

I have used Oasis many times before moving out of the Bay Area. They are super hard working and efficient. I tend to move around a lot for work because I hate commuting and these guys are a life saver! They pack, move etc all very quick. No loligagging around, they just bring everything they need in the morning from boxes to a truck, and by afternoon I'm in a new place. I only had a small issue with one move, and Wendy took care of it without any hassle, great customer service. If you add up what you'd spend on a truck, pizza for your friends, time etc there is just no comparison. Oasis is a great deal. After the move was over, the workers felt that my tip was too little and asked me to call the boss of their moving company to ask how much tip should be given. The workers, without asking, opened our refrigerator to get drinks and beer. I did not ask her to make any punishment or compensation, I only wanted her to know the situation. After the move, I paid the check and tip and thought it was over. However, the owner of the moving company called me more than four times to question me about this matter. She repeatedly confirmed that their workers thought they drank juice and soda. Their boss sided with the workers and criticized me instead for not calling her immediately. The boss of the moving company criticized me harshly and hung up on me when I expressed my worries about the workers since they did NOT finish the move and we had scheduled another day to finish. I found some items were missing and damaged while unpacking. I called and texted the boss, but she refuses to reply or pick up the phone at all. EDIT: As you can see in the response below, Wendy fixates incorrectly on strange details. I refused the offer for compensation simply because I did not care for the beverage itself but wanted to understand what the company's principles are. Very apparently, this entire company is very unprofessional. I am writing this review since she refuses to answer me and ***I need my broken items compensated and a receipt*** for the full service I paid at the agreed upon amount of $4505 when in fact the move was only half finished. Besides writing a text and one call to her about this I have never contacted them again. What disturbance, threat, or harassment? Especially when you hung up on me when asking about the second appointment...? The multiple calls you made that night over a pointless confirmation of what beverages were drank was more harassment than anything. Making baseless accusations is another level of low I cannot believe is happening over a Yelp review. I have never even worked with Ontrack Moving. I had boxes from a friend's previous move. Extremely unprofessional of her to be making up stories about me on a review critiquing and warning others of her entire company's work ethics. To publicly post about someone's personal lives reeks of not only unprofessionalism but a vile character. I had an appointment with Oasis Moving by Feb 15. Wendy Li pick up the phone and we made an appointment on Feb 26th. She's friendly and easy to work with during our communication with phone and email. Today is Feb 24th, Wendy made a phone call to me at 9:14 pm and stated that some of her workers had contact with COVID-19 patient and she wants to cancel the appointment. Despite my $200 docking fee to the apartment's administration office was wasted, plus I have to find another company a day before moving out. I really enjoy the services provided by Oasis Moving. I can fully understand that unfortunate things like this happens. And I wish those workers from Oasis Moving recovered soon from COVID-19. read more

Pros: 1. Arrived right on time 2. Packed everything well Cons: 1. The price is deceivingly high. I had 2 movers arrive to help me move my things from essentially a studio to a 7.5 ft by 10 ft storage space. I had a queen size bed, couch, TV, dresser, dining table set, and about 10-15 small to medium boxes that I had pre-packed. I don't have many things. It took them a total of FOUR hours to finish. (This included 20 minutes for transit from SF to Daly City.) I've done this move before, with the same set of furniture too, and the previous movers only took 2-3 hours, also including transit. In total, I paid $480 (BEFORE tip) for the same move that I once paid less than $300 (INCLUDING tip) for. 2. As other reviews have mentioned, the movers will negotiate for tip. I initially offered a $50, which in my opinion was already generous given that the move really ought to have been $200-300, but the one of the movers insisted up to $80. We settled on $75. I'm not as upset about the negotiation as I am about the base price. I really wanted to like them, given that we were able to converse in Mandarin. However, I am absolutely incredulous that I paid $500+ to move all furniture that could have fit in a 7.5 ft by 10 ft space. If I had a 2 bedroom space, I imagine I would have paid close to $1000. I will not be returning to Oasis Moving Company again nor would I recommend it to anyone I know. --------- UPDATE: Wendy followed up with me afterward, apologized, and worked with me to determine a more fair pricing. She explained that the movers were recent hires. She was extremely understanding and professional, so I overall left with a positive experience. I left my original experiences in the review, because it seems that your experience may depend on which movers you get -- for example, the friend who had first recommended Oasis to me had a positive experience and finished moving in about 2 hours with about the same amount of stuff as I had. read more

First of all, they don't speak English but it's not a deal breaker... We hired them last year and they were two hours late without any notice but the guys were very apologetic and efficient so we decided to use them again. Wendy gave us a discount for being late last year which was nice of her and the crew arrived 30 mins before the scheduled start time( which was a lot better than waiting around). We knew the move from the storage was going to be faster than 3 hours but it's industry standard so we didn't mind paying for full 3 hours. At the end of the move, we asked them help us move the tv upstairs -one guy said no but the second guy agreed. Then we asked them to move a dresser from upstairs to downstairs but they said no. I'm not sure why they refused since They were done with the move in 2 hours and we are still paying them for 3 hours...I mean if the dresser was in the storage, they would have to move the dresser anyways so I'm not sure why it was such a big deal. They basically made us pay 3 hours, refuse to move our dresser, received tip on top of cash payment and left. Definitely go with a different company. Wendy is great - extremely responsive and was able to accommodate last minute changes to my booking. The movers were fine, but there were a few hiccups. First, they arrived almost 30 minutes early, and at the wrong address -- they were supposed to be at my old address but went to my new address address instead. I tried to explain this to them over the phone but there was a language barrier, they didn't understand me and hung up on me twice. I had to call Wendy, who resolved it pretty quickly. When it came to the actual moving, they were good -- fast, efficient and thorough. There were 3 movers and they finished moving a 1-bedroom apartment in less than 3 hours. For context, I'd already moved most items except the furniture before they arrived, and the new apartment is less than 1 mile from the old apartment. One major issue was they didn't understand English very well. I happen to speak and understand Chinese, so I was able to communicate with them in Chinese once they arrived in person. It ended up being okay since, like I said, I happen to speak Chinese. But I wouldn't recommend them if you don't speak Chinese, and I think the company should make this language issue clear before you book with them so you know what to expect. One last critique -- after the movers finished, one of them plopped down, uninvited, on my couch. It's not the end of the world, but to me it's a little unprofessional. read more

Had a great experience with Oasis Moving Company. They were very responsive and communicative for questions and scheduling (thank you to Wendy). The three movers that arrived on our moving day were prompt, professional, and very experienced. They bring all of the necessary material to ensure that your possessions are protected (shrinkwrap, blankets) and also handle taking apart and putting furniture back together. We were nervous about moving our 75" TV but they wrapped it very securely and moved it without any issues. Oasis is also probably one of the better moving rates you can find in SF; they only charge a flat hourly rate ($165/hr at the time of writing this review), calculated in 15 min increments. Payment by cash or check only and would suggest tipping in cash. Honestly - don't be stingy on the tip, moving is HARD work! read more

Every single one of my furniture items has been irreparably damaged to the point I might as well have haphazardly chucked them into the back of a uHaul unprotected. Consistent with some of the other negative reviews that follow, the movers were also highly unprofessional and frankly inappropriate in their passive-aggressive attempts to bully me into shelling out additional gratuity despite an already generous tip. I am truly appalled by the extent of damage that my belongings have sustained as a consequence of their carelessness and apparent disregard for both my belongings and myself. The description on Oasis' website might sound great, but don't let it fool you: "We are dedicated, careful, experienced and trustworthy professional movers." Excellent moving company! We had 3 movers. They arrived on time, moved very quickly but also very carefully, they're friendly, and also very affordable. We moved from a 4 bed / 2 bath into a 3 bed / 2 bath within 4 hours (note that we have minimal furniture and belongings, and we packed ourselves). The walls at my new house are newly painted so I asked them to please not bang the furniture against the wall at all and they made sure of that. My house is also on a hill (narrow, curvy roads) and the house itself is 3 levels, they didn't have any problems navigating that nor did they charge extra for the trouble. I also had gardeners working on the yards while we were moving in and the movers patiently worked around them without issues. All of my furniture and belongings arrived without an ounce of damage. I had left a couple of my diplomas in their truck (my bad, I didn't look carefully enough at the final truck walkthrough), and they went the extra mile to bring them back for me the next day (no extra charge). I didn't even notice they were gone so I'm really thankful for this kind act. Last year I had a local relocation package from my company and was assigned a large corporate moving company that cost a lot more but wasn't nearly as good as Oasis. Oasis beats them both in terms of pricing and service. Oasis was far more careful, efficient, prompt, and fast. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. read more

Wendy and the team were incredible and made our move very easy. In total, it took them 5.5 hours to move us from our 2 bedroom apartment in San Mateo to 3 bedroom home in Mountain View. They packed everything well and secure and used moving blankets to protect all the furniture and valuable items. They had to move our time a couple of times due to delays and a move that took longer than expected before ours and Wendy promptly called me to inform me of the change. They were also very easy to work with to figure out where each item should be placed. I would recommend them to anyone moving locally in the Bay Area. I just had a great experience with Oasis. Wendy was great to deal with on the phone and via email. I had to reschedule my move date twice, and she was able to accommodate me no problem. The movers actually came 20 minutes early, but I was ready! Two man crew with very limited English, but still easy to communicate what is being moved and where to put stuff. They provide wardrobe boxes for free and wrap everything in cloth or plastic wrap. They will ask and confirm with you what needs to be moved and what's staying put. I only had a small studio apartment to move 5 minutes away from my old place. So it wasn't as difficult a move, but they got the job done in 2 hours on the dot. Why did I forget to review Oasis 6 years ago when we used them to move from S'vale to SJ? They are great. Their charges are low, and they were honest about the hours, and told me that they had stopped for 1/2 hour lunch. This is the company that I will use again if I move, and that I will always recommend to friends for Bay Area moves. Don't give them anything that has to be specially handled. I transported my own electronics. They take only reasonable care. They do wrap furniture in thick plastic to protect it. You don't have to pack book cases or chests of drawers. They wrap them and carry them. (They will try to tell you that they can move a piano. Don't go for it. Of course only use a specialist for piano or spa. You want someone who owns his or her company to actually come for your piano.) Do give the guys a nice tip in cash. Have your cash ready. read more
