I've been here a couple times before in 2018 and the food was good. This was truly the worst meal ever. The waitress managed to get two of three of our orders absolutely wrong. Two families in the restaurant and our orders were wrong. And she clearly didn't care. By the time the correct orders came two of us had finished eating and we took the replacement orders to go. No apology. My steak quesadilla was ground beef. ( The first one was chicken. WTH?) No cheese. Doesn't quesadilla mean cheese? This wasn't even up to taco bell standards. I'm disgusted. read more

I love this place. I had the Sergio burrito with beef and green sauce and it was spectacular!!!! I'm a food snob and this place gets an A+ everything. The service and friendliness of the staff is excellent and the food is above par. Thanks so much for a wonderful lunch. read more

Went there to try it out for lunch today, man at the door pointed to us a booth to sit at. We sat there for about 6 mins and still didn't menus or anybody come to greet us at our table. We got up and walked out. Really disappointing because so many people say this place is good but their customer service was horrible. It wasn't that busy. No other people were waiting to be seated and there were plenty of other tables. Will not be returning. read more

Sub par street tacos, ridiculously over priced for their lack of taste (I've tried 2x to be fair).

We recently got take out from here. We enjoyed it but didn't think it was over-the-top amazing. Their tamales are good, maybe better than their other locations. The rice and beans are also good. The street tacos are good and flavorful, but overpriced. I feel that they have a decent selection and tasty food. I wan't overly impressed, but would still recommend it and will probably return. read more

I'll go a 5 star for the first visit. Been meaning to go here for a while. Glad I finally did. It's a very clean and spacious place and smells good. That's important. Great service for lunch on Fri but we were early and when we left there were a few folks there and still only one server. But he hustled his ass off and was getting it done. I had a shrimp taco, asada taco, and a Holy taco. All were very good. Plenty of tasty meat in all of them. Chips and salsa were good. Reasonable prices and good food. I'm only giving 3 stars for the food because the service is terrible! If you can handle bad service but good food for sure go!!! First things first we've only had the tacos and the queso. So I cannot tell you the quality of much else. The shrimp tacos exceed expectations. The sauce and slaw it's just so good. They are big so 2 is a good amount. The carne asada street tacos are so delicious I get the slaw on top but you have to ask! Very good tacos. I want them daily. But I do get them to go because the service really is THAT bad. The queso is not good. Just a heads up. Maybe if it's not to go it's good but it's so greasy. Won't get it again. So for my one visit eating there. My mom and friend were in town and we wanted a majito and tacos. So let's try it out for dining in. First the bartender wasn't even a bartender. He said he does everything. Our mojitos were terrible. The chips were stale and ice cold. I'm so unimpressed with the service. Literally the only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the tacos are fantastic!!! read more

De Leon's on the south hill is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The food and margaritas are amazing!! My family and I love going here. The service we got from our server Dashea was exceptional! We went in last week and Dashea was so friendly and really made our night:) It was the best service we had ever received at any restaurant in spokane. This was our second encounter with this marvelous restaurant. We wanted to keep trying new items from a great menu. Wife decided on chicken fajitas today and volume was large and the blended flavors was fantastic. I had chimmi changa made with chicken. Flavor was excellent and the accompanying Mexican rice and favorable refried beans just made the meal. Can't wait to explore more items in the near future. read more

The food is great. It's authentic and delicious. I'm not sure if we had a new server but it was so slow. The server didn't know the menu very well, he forgot things, and left us waiting for very long periods. The mojitos are too sweet. But otherwise it was ok, good food. read more

We love this place! The food is always amazing and the margaritas always hit the spot. This is by far the best Mexican food on the South Hill and unlike its competitors it is reasonably priced. Absolutely the worse service I've ever received from Delon's and we are long time customers at the North Side and Valley locations. We've used them several times to cater birthday parties for us. With that being said, I was hoping that the S. Hill Taco & Bar would have the same excellent service and food. The first time my husband went there was on a Saturday to order Menudo, which they serve on the weekends. The waitress said they didn't have any but would have some the next day. Instead he ordered street tacos, which was 35 to 40 minutes wait for the tacos. Other people came in and were served their orders before his to go order. Fast forward to today, Nov. 1, 2018. What I thought would be a quick trip to get a couple of burritos took just about an hour. We ordered a drink at the bar, which took about 15 minutes at least. At that time there was one other couple in the entire restaurant. We got drinks and ordered the food. As the restaurant was beginning to fill, we noticed others eating their food and ours still hadn't arrived. Then a guy comes from the back and says your order is ready. Another 10 minute wait getting it to us. He drops off the food and continues walking towards the back. By that time I had enough and walked up to the cash register and asked to pay for the food. I left just a three dollar tip, which was way too much considering the service. I will never go to this one again although it is close to our house!!! I will continue to enjoy the food from the restaurants in the Valley and N. Side. read more

After waiting quite some time for the two men to discuss it and figure it out we were presented with a bag of chips and salsa and a bill for $15. I'm updating my review from years and years of ordering from this place. I tried, tried, tried and tried again to love this place and to support local. But, OMG EVERY SINGLE TIME (and I'm not exaggerating), they had my orders wrong. EVERY TIME. For years!!! Nothing ever done about it. Except telling me that I can come back to pick up missing order pieces/ orders. Tonight was the final straw. I hate to do this. But this has been a consistent thing for over 3 years. I think enough chances were given. (BTW, my review went from 5 to 4 to 3 to 2 to now.....I wish I could give a zero). And it's not the food itself. Just moved to this neighbor hood and we are loving De Leon's Taco and Bar the tortillas are made fresh everyday the drinks are stiff but well made and full of flavor the fajitas and carna asada where done perfectly and the staff has been very quick and pleasant I would deffidently recommend De Leon's to anyone looking for great food and a chill atmosphere. read more

Fiesta Salad price has increased. My favorite salad, always so fresh. Today I asked for extra avocado and was told it would be an additional 1.50. Okay, that seems a bit much since I could get a whole avocado for that price, but let's see how it comes. The salad includes one small slice already. When I got home I had two small slices of avocado on my salad. That's a 1.50 for a small thin slice of avocado. A bit much for my taste, no more Fiesta salads for me. read more

HORRIBLE service!!! I was begged by my friend to try this place. I'm a loyal customer of Las Maracas a block away but decided to go with my friend. The food wasn't like I'm use to but it wasn't garbage. The server however, was. Thank God I didn't want more water and apparently 1 soft drink is all that's allowed. Server brought me our ticket half way through the meal. Saw I was out of both water and soda. Clearly didn't care. I was going to try some churros but wasn't going to incovience him in doing another ticket. I know the 2 other tables in the restaurant must have needed his attention. My bill was $15.77. I paid with a $20 bill. He brought me back $4. He must have assumed I didn't want my $0.23. I don't care about the denomination amount. It's the principle. Bring me my complete change. If he did this to everyone who paid cash, that money would add up. This is not a welcomed addition to the south hill. If you want to be treated right with amazing food, go see Gina at Las Maracas. This place is the reason venturing out sucks. I will never be back because of this guy's lack of attention, careless attitude and the overall feeling of not wanting us to be there. read more

Went to DeLeon today solo for a quick early dinner ,430 pm , only one other couple in the restaurant when I arrived . Know one there to greet me when I walked in the front , sign said wait to be seated , after 5 minutes I creeped up to the bar to see if I could find anyone , finally I shouted "HELLO" and someone responded I'll be right there , 2 minutes later someone came out and seated me in a booth , another 5 minutes went by and she came from the back with water , chips, salsa and a menu ...she sat another couple and returned to take my order , my order arrived 10 minutes later, and that was the last time I saw her , she must have noticed I was done because she returned with my check ...I went the whole dinner with a empty glass of water , and she never came out to ask if I needed anything , I actually wanted a drink ... short handed or not , no excuse for that type of service .... I won't be back .. and I won't recommend it to anyone .... read more

We arrived at 8:30 to see one costumer at the bar and five occupied tables yet locked doors and an un lit open sign. Not impressed to say the least. We took our business else where.
