Shop is located within the Del Amo Mall, near the Macy's shoe department and in front of Lucille's. The employees were friendly and helpful. The drink itself was delicious. Not a fan of the clumpy toppings, but the banana and matcha were great.
Yummy Crème Brûlée Matcha Latte!! I got two Matcha Lattes and one Crème Brûlée Matcha Latte. The Matcha Lattes had a beautiful top with the half matcha powder which I thought was nice looking. The drink itself was a good, it wasn't too bitter and too sweet. It was right in the middle, and I thought it was so good! The Crème Brûlée Matcha Latte was so good! It's hard to find a Crème Brûlée Matcha Latte unless you go to Westminster / Garden Grove so I was super excited to find it in Torrance. The drink was great, the Crème Brûlée on top added a creamy cheesy taste to the matcha latte, and it was good! The matcha latte still holds that not too bitter or too sweet ratio which was great as well! The place was pretty hard to find, you can't find it on regular Apple Maps. I was only able to find it through someone who had already been there. The place is near one of the entrances / exits, and it's near the escalators and elevators. The place is also very easy to miss, it blends in with the walls and everything. There's seating and tables next to the place which is nice. There's also a self ordering kiosk on the counter. The employee was helpful and nice! He gave us the drinks without the lids, and he directed us to where the lids, straws, and napkins were. I would come here again! The Crème Brûlée Matcha Latte was great, and I want to try more drinks on the menu!
Walked past this place in Del Amo a bunch of times but never went because the prices are steeeeeep. Heard too many good things about it and decided to pull the trigger and try. That was a mistake, because now I am ADDICTED and my wallet can't handle it. Got an almond milk matcha latte and it was by far the best I have EVER had. Service was nice and quick, ordering was exceptionally easy. Only docked one star because it really is so much more expensive than any other matcha shop.
I tried the mango matcha and it was good. I will say it is on the sweeter side but the matcha taste was still potent. De Matcha is located inside the Del Amo Mall and I'd say it is worth trying.
New matcha drink places opened at Del Amo mall. It's next to Lucille's, right at the entry way. We got two drinks and both Rasta amazing! We will both be back. Matcha Duo Hojicha Sesame Latte There was just one person working and I was pretty surprised how fast he was able to get our drinks done.
Located on the first floor near Lucille's BBQ and Macy's. I ordered the Black Sesame Matcha Latte through the kiosk, and the ordering process was quick and convenient. If you enjoy sweet matcha drinks, this is definitely a place worth trying. Personally, I usually order my matcha with no sweetness, so I do wish there was an option to adjust the sweetness level on the kiosk. On my first sip before mixing, the drink was quite sweet with the matcha flavor being the most prominent. After mixing it well, the sweetness mellowed out and the black sesame flavor came through much more, which I really enjoyed. The combination of matcha and black sesame was flavorful, especially once everything was mixed together. I'd definitely be interested in coming back to try some of their other drink options.

Caught my attention and gave it a try! The crème brûlée was sooo delicious. The banana matcha wasn't what I personally liked but my husband really enjoyed it!. They are priced at $7.95 each, which wasn't that cheap but not too expensive. Would definitely recommend! The staff are also very friendly and helpful with helping me choose a drink.

Best Matcha at Del Amo! 9 times outta ten it's perfecccct. The strawberry matcha is delicious. The workers move the line quickly and are always so nice. It is a bit pricey, but worth it.
I stopped by on a weekday and didn't realize that all they had was matcha. After looking at their menu, I decided to get their pistachio matcha. I couldn't get the sweetness level less than 100% because it meant that there wouldn't be as much matcha in it. All of their matcha drinks are premade so the cashier made my drink pretty fast. The pistachio drink tasted like ground up pistachios but it was pretty sweet and it overpowered the matcha. At over $7 its probably worth going somewhere else. This place is located across from Lucille's. Parking can be horrible during peak hours but during the weekday there should be some closer go the mall.
Located in the del amo mall near macys is this tucked away matcha shop. I got the straberry matcha duo. The matcha quality is ceremonial grade and has a nice creamy note. They use free strawberries in the puree and you get some strawberry pieces as you drink. The cream top was a bit thick and I didn't taste the matcha flavor as much. Service was quick and I only waiting 2-3 minutes after placing my order.
Tried De Matcha for the first time while shopping and it seriously made the whole shopping experience so much better!! I got the Banana Matcha Duo and absolutely fell in love. I love that they use REAL bananas, it wasn't overly sweet, there was no artificial banana flavor, and you could actually taste the quality of the matcha. Everything was so well balanced! The employee was also super sweet and even gave me a heads-up that the creme brulee is on the sweeter side, so shoutout to her for looking out!! Matcha Banana - this one was my favorite, it's not too sweet + cereal topping! A coworker was telling me about the Matcha Crème Brûlée here. I thought it was going to be over-the-top sweet, but honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. It was so balanced (not too sweet at all) and tasted fantastic. Service was great. It was fast and the employee at the counter was helpful. This specific spot was formerly where Percolate and The Alley were but hopefully this one is here to stay because YUM! Quite busy, too. The way this counter has changed names makes my head spin. I loved The Alley and can't even remember what tea place was before The Alley. I was so surprised to find that it is now De Matcha. I guess this is only the second store with one being in Berkeley. The girl behind the counter told me the owner is the same as the one for The Alley that had been there previously but they wanted to switch it up and serve matchas. I passed by right after it opened on a weekday so I was the first customer. I wanted to try the banana matcha double as I continue with my love for banana cream drinks. Order on the kiosk pad and the drink was made immediately I appreciate the matcha not being too strong. The banana flavor worked well with the matcha and the cookie sprinkles was a nice touch. This is a counter inside the Del Amo mall next to Lucille's BBQ. You order at the kiosk and service is pretty quick. There is no seating--it's just a grab and go type place. No food options, just drinks. They have a various number of matcha drinks to choose from and different types of milk (oat, almond, etc). They supposedly use ceremonial grade Uji matcha. Unfortunately, you can not adjust the sweetness level on the drinks. I got the strawberry matcha with oat milk based on the worker's recommendation. It was just okayyy, too sweet and creamy/heavy for my personal taste. I probably wouldn't come back unless I'm really craving matcha while at the mall. There are better options for matcha elsewhere in Torrance. read more

I had the pleasure of trying out this new matcha spot in Torrance, CA at the Del Amo mall. It's right across Lucille's BBQ. It's a small grab-and-go shop without seating; however, it is Del Amo. You can find really nice areas at the mall to sit and enjoy your drinks. We enjoyed ours right outside the doors and in the warmth of the sun. I love that the ingredients are fairly simple. Their banana matcha duo is made with real bananas. From what I saw, everything is clean and organized. Most importantly, the taste wasn't grainy or earthy. They don't adjust sweetness, which I was a little hesitant about, but after tasting all 4 drinks, it wasn't too sweet at all. To give you perspective, I typically order my boba drinks with 0 sugar. At most, the lowest amount of sugar possible. Their shop doesn't sell boba or other toppings that you may be used to at traditional tea shops in California. It was a very enjoyable experience and a lovely sweet treat. Melinda provided a very positive energy. She was telling me all about their drinks. Drinks came out at a decent time. You can tell they take pride in their craft. It wasn't rushed, and as you can see, the drinks were presented very nicely. Here is what I ordered 1. Warabi matcha duo (personal fav) 2. Would be nice to post entire menu on the tv screens. I noticed that this place opened recently. I got their strawberry matcha through their tablet on the counter. The drinks are a bit pricey at around $8. The service is quick. Their drink is okay. Strawberry was very sweet. Matcha was okay. I would say it was okay drink. I'm eager to try out the other items though. Curious what their wasabi matcha tastes like. read more

Service was surprisingly quick for one person, he was also very nice! Matcha was good loved the black sesame! The crème brûlée was inherently too sweet for me personally but not nearly as much as other places, however it has a very eggy flavor but I don't hate it, it's actually quite pleasant. My only complaint is I'd like a little more matcha, but overall great! read more

This spot is tucked into a corner of del amo and has so many matcha options! There's an iPad to order and even with only one worker we got our drinks pretty fast. Both the pistachio and Ube matchas we tried had a good sweetness with the foam top but still a prominent matcha taste. The one thing is this place felt pretty pricey. The matchas were $7.95 + for the oat milk. I ended up paying about $17 for two matchas before tip which felt a little insane. I also think it's interesting that the iPad asked for a tip when the workers don't take orders at all, greet you, or interact at all. read more

The matcha itself was decent and wasn't that sweet which I thought was nice. I was expecting the banana in the drink to be a puree, but it was just a mashed on banana. The banana didn't taste ripe and was very chunky in the drink, not my favorite. I would try the other drinks on the menu. read more

i went on a saturday evening and was surprised to see that there was no wait! i got the strawberry matcha duo and i really enjoyed it. i am pretty picky about the taste of my strawberry puree, but this one exceeded my expectations. not only did they give me a generous amount, the puree tastes fresh and has no artificial hints. the taste of the matcha itself wasn't as potent as i'd like it to be, but maybe that was due to the strong taste of the strawberry puree. still delicious tho! i personally liked the thickness / sweetness of it because i was looking specifically for a matcha duo over a matcha latte. i'll definitely be back soon!! read more

Better than I expected. Got the strawberry matcha. Flavors blended well. Not too bitter or sweet. The price is a little high for the size of the drink and amount of ice. Might try the brown sugar matcha next time. read more

Same spot and equipment as the Alley. Fast service and easy to order with a small menu. I asked if they had a special deal for "soft opening", nope. The caps for the drinks are difficult to separate and stick together. The matcha latte was refreshing, woke up with a direct shot of matcha syrup. Not mixed well. Couldn't adjust the ice level either (too much ice). read more

Convenient spot by the mall entrance, you order through a kiosk. They have a lot of unique matcha options for sweet tooths like the tiramisu matcha and crème brûlée matcha, along with more traditional options like the warabi matcha. We had the crème brûlée matcha and black sesame matcha. (Talk about aesthetic matchas) Drinks were pretty tasty and a good size. However, they weren't able to make modifications on the sweetness level. read more

De Matcha 21540 Hawthorne Blvd #401C, Torrance, CA 90503 (located in Del Amo Fashion Center, same entrance as Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ) - 5/5 2/5 ($) parking lot - From NorCal to SoCal, I was so excited to FINALLY try the new location of @dematcha here in LA. a couple of my matcha-loving, Berkeley friends has been hyping this place up, and I was so excited to try it for myself! De Matcha's new location is located inside the Del Amo Fashion Center, at the same entrance as Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ -- in front of the Barnes and Noble. From the get go, the staff were super friendly and were able to make our drinks SUPER fast. The combination of fast service AND quality drinks is a top tier combo. We ordered: 1. Matcha Duo 2. Ube Matcha Latte 3. Matcha Coconut 4. Matcha Latte 5. Strawberry Matcha De Matcha uses Uji Ceremonial Matcha for all of their drinks, and I could definitely taste the quality. I think that matcha drinks tend to have a bitter, wood-like aftertaste, which I am not a fan of. However, there was no aftertaste with this, which I was so pleased with! My top two drinks have to be the Matcha Duo and Ube Matcha Latte. I LOVE creamy drinks, and so the matcha cream top just added another level of flavor to the drink. I also really love the Ube Matcha Latte, because as a #Filipino, I am just obsessed with anything Ube. Shaw and Andrew are the best of the best! They are super consistent, friendly and efficient at this sweet and creamy matcha shop. I always get the mango duo matcha with authentic mango flavor, but have recently tried substitutions with the crème brûlée foam. Thanks for the recommendations by these two! This is one of the FEW cafés in California that have Ceremonial Grade Matcha. This matcha was very pleasant and it is super quick to order. This is a spot that nailed its matcha latte and I will come back! read more
