Order a few drinks, first time trying this place. Got the Turon Latte, it's wasn't sweet which is good. Hubby got the Milo Mocha latte, mom got an Americano and for our not so little one, a double chocolate cookie. I think they serve a take on Filipino breakfast food. The place wasn't too big but seems cozy enough. Might go back to try other stuff. We like the seating outside, it has enough shade.

Super cute lil coffee shop with amazing drinks and even more amazing service!! Their matcha was rich, creamy and high quality. Great place to get a little work done, only downside is that there is no bathroom for customers

They are currently in their soft opening but nonetheless the drinks were super good! Ordered matcha mango sticky rice and a pandan matcha - it was so good but a bit on the sweeter side. I feel like they need to balance out the flavors a bit but I still really liked it! Service was good, the cashier was very nice, interior is also really cute. They have board games on display that you can play with friends or family while you hang out. There's also some outlets in there if you ever need to study or do work- which I will probably do next time. Will def come back!

Loved this cute little Filipino-American inspired coffee shop! Enough space and cozy enough to just bring your laptop and work or study. Only con is they do not have restrooms available. Came a little late so most of the pastries were sold out, but I did get a red velvet cheesecake cookie and it was amazing 1000/10! You can tell it was freshly made! Also got a banana bread iced latte, 9/10 , I was expecting more banana flavor. Parking can be a nightmare if you come during rush hour. Service was 1000000/10. Very polite and friendly This coffee shop is rooted in faith, and love for Christ you can definitely feel!!! Will be stopping by to try something new soon!

New favorite coffee spot! Tamistea has such a clean and modern vibe, making it a really nice place to relax and enjoy a drink. The space feels bright, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The drinks are just as good as the atmosphere. The ube matcha was smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced, and the mais con coffee is definitely one of my go-to orders now. Everything tastes fresh and not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. Overall, a great neighborhood café and a spot I can see myself coming back to often. If you're nearby and looking for a good coffee place, this one is worth checking out.

This matcha was delicious. It was so well prepared and balanced. I didn't feel any of the bitterness that matcha has. Will come back to try the other flavors. Service was excellent. The staff was very friendly.

I'm back as promised! This time I tried their matcha. I decided to go with the matcha tonic because I'm a big tonic fan. The matcha was much much better than the coffee! As soon as I saw the bold bright green color I knew I had made the right choice. Service remained as amazing as the first time I was here. I also appreciate that they're super helpful when it comes to asking about potential allergens in the drinks. The ambiance still hit that perfect spot. Looking forward to trying a matcha latte next time.

Their latte was enjoyable but their matcha was a bit watered down. As far as the drinks we tried, nothing stood out as exceptional enough to rave about, but it also wasn't offensive so it's all a matter of personal taste. The pastries we tried were also pretty good. These things can be modified and improved and I know they'll tweak things and only makes things better and I can already see from the reviews that many people love their offerings. The service is friendly. I truly, truly wish them well. I do disagree with the notion that it's a good place to work or study because they do not offer restrooms. I feel like a good coffee shop (or at least a coffee shop that you can work and study at) gives you at least that option.

This place is sooo cute! It was so comfy and thoughtfully set up in here! Really made me feel like I could hang out in here and chill out. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I'm a huge matcha fan and I've tried a lot of the matcha in the area and this one is SOLID. Color is there, taste is there! Matcha lovers in Torrance this is definitely a must try!

I love how so many cute cafés are popping all over the South Bay, and Tamistea is a recent addition. Stopped by after lunch for a pick-me-up: it is located inside of a strip mall with a good amount of parking, but I can imagine it might be tricky to find a spot during busier hours. Inside is minimalist, but charming with plenty of natural lighting and some board games on the side. It's a Christian-based café, so you'll see quotes and drinks inspired by the faith. I ordered their signature mais con ube and double matcha. The mais con ube came beautifully-presented, and I can see why it's a fan favorite: taste-wise, it was solid, with strong coffee and a sweet ube cream top to balance it out. Not sure if I tasted much of the corn flavor, but in any case, it was really good! Double matcha was good, but a bit on the milky side; perhaps it was the oat milk I'd opted for as the latte base, but it could've had more matcha. Not bad, though! I would return to Tamistea for the mais con ube alone. Even if you're not faith-based, it's still a nice café to come and sit a while!

I stopped by Tamistea tea and my first thought was that the interior looked so cozy and cute. There was plenty of seating and games to play with your friends. The staff were very friendly as well. For the menu, the signature drinks are inspired by Filipino flavors. I ordered a matcha latte and really wanted to enjoy my drink. I felt that the matcha was very grainy, bitter and had an aftertaste that lingered. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my drink. Despite this, I think that Tamistea is a nice spot to bring friends or to just relax.

Wow, so glad I finally tried this spot. Loved all of my drinks so much, and the Filipino cornbread was to die for!! The matcha and coffee here are both so high quality. The owner is an absolute sweetheart, she was so welcoming and generous which is a huge plus. The shop itself is also really cute and gives cozy islandy vibes. Plenty of indoor and some outdoor seating so this is a perfect hangout spot! I can't wait to come back!!

Maganda Ka to that Ube Latte I had. The croissant was special, not just a regular croissant, it had a texture and flavor and season that I enjoyed. The Smores Cookie was just good, actually, it was great. The décor was original, with style, and yet still comfortable. There were many seating options but I just had to sit at the smallest table and smallest stool for the experience. There is a water station. The parking was great on this early Saturday morning; the parking hot here is shared among many businesses. I support the Women-owned businesses and I hope this café does well. My experience here was excellent. ***Please listen to the song I am parodying, "Sweet Thing" by Mary J Blige.*** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EjZF88vqNU&list=RD6EjZF88vqNU&start_radio=1 While you are reading my song parody portion of my review below. They close at 8:30 and I came in 2 hours before. The pastries leftover were scooched over and the labels did not match entirely what they were. It was difficult to know what I was picking up onto the tray. There was also a small fruit fly or gnat flying around inside the bakery case as well. The icing of the orange donut thing also got stuck to the box and we had to scrape it off... Out of 4 pastries none of them were really that good, it really made me not want to come back. I also ordered a plain iced coffee and the coffee quality is not good at all. Tastes like it was made from a Mr coffee machine at home. Service was friendly. The person who helped me was named Phillip. As I was paying for my baked goods he came over and…read moresaid I also got a mini cookie. I heard it, and I thought, which mini cookie did I get? Perhaps they had a metric system of weighing their goods that designated something as mini when it was typical cookie size. The cashier also asked mini? in slight confusion. Then Phillip cleared the misunderstanding. He was not saying mini, as in van or me, he was saying Minnie as in mouse. I had gotten a Minnie Mouse cookie, with pink frosting, because it was cute and I think that eating pink makes something just a wee more special. Why? I do not know out of all the colors I think the color pink has a monopoly on the cute to eat factor, with purple a whisp behind. The short interaction colored Phillip, a princely color. Thus for the moment he became Prince Phillip of Torrance Bakery. I went to this bakery because I wanted to help celebrate the birthday of my favorite bartender. I wanted to go to a Bakery that was not in the Southbay, closer to where the big cookie names are. But, as this review will later tell, this bakery can hold its own very well against the tinsel town contenders that define must-get sweets in LA. The Bakery is in old town torrance. It was packed, on a random Wednesday. All the baked goods were perfectly lined. I had a goal in mind so I took some clips but did not review the offerings intensely. I did not want to clog the line more than I should. Especially, when I knew that I could carry more questions than a quiz master when I encounter a new bakery that perks my tongue-up! So I picked up the pink cookie, and then I saw a sour cream muffin. I never seen a sour cream muffin, but I think I had heard of them so I chose one to take to my mom. I partly expected for the muffin to have a sour cream center. You know how like a hostess cupcake has cream in its center. Before eating it, my mom did the mom thing, and split it so multiple members of her brood can get a taste. It might be my imagination, but there was a broken swirl that connected all three slices of the muffin. The taste of the sour cream muffin was delightful, seriously! The sour cream was not a present taste that made you be like ok I am eating sour cream in a muffin, it was more an agent that moistens the muffin to an edge of good pleasure. And I have not gotten to the cake which was meant and was the star of the show. As I was ordering my cake, the line had become longer, and thus I felt the pressure more. I first wanted to get the lemon cake. I am a sucker for lemon. But then I realized that this might not be a cake for most. Like lemon is good, but not all. Like in an ice cream sampler should we have chocolate, vanilla and strawberry or sub one of these for lemon? Phillip recommended their best seller- the strawberry. But I decided to go a bit more classic with a twist- a classic yellow cake with french cream. And when we cut into it later, it was so good you all---- like one of the best cakes I have had in my life and that is no exaggeration. The wonderful thing, that put this cake on the top tier, was the cream--- it mirrored the taste of ice cream. My brain was wonderfully confused--- I was not chewing ice cream, not licking or drinking it. To be more specicif, the french cream had a vanilla like taste that is present in vanilla ice cream. Eating this was one of those moments that expanded my taste inventory and I am kind of grateful cause it happened on a random Tuesday. I went to get a gift for my friend, and this bakery gave me a gift too. And no this place did not pay me in cookies and brownies to write this, the taste of the french cream on classic yellow was that wonderfully unique for me to say that I was grateful for the experience of eating this treat. Am I a foodie or a visitor from candy lane? My blood is red with sugiar within-- so who knows? I have found a new place for my baked good needs.
