It's interesting to now read the reviews posted as well as the one filtered after the brief encounter that I had with Dealerworks (DW), because others reviews are consistent with my experience, as well as my gut feeling from years of business interactions. I called DW to inquire about whether it's possible to install CruiseControl in one of my cars and if so, what it costs for parts and labor. Left a message after being transferred to a voice mail in the morning, and received a call back at the end of the day. The Gentleman explained that they do work for dealers, but he would charge me the same exact that they charge a dealer, with the same warranty. (Ok, sounded good.) He was confident and direct, he knew the right warranty terms and part costs that I already researched. (More Good) But when I tried to ask some questions, he indicated that he was about to walk out the door (basically doing me a favor by calling me back at the end of his day), cut me off, but did indicate that I would need to pay in advance for both the labor and part (Basically the entire cost including taxes) before he would even order the part. Then, when the part comes in he would schedule the work, and then he hung up on me. It is customary in the auto biz to charge either a deposit or the full cost of the part for a special order. Some shops will front the cost on an order because they can return unused parts, but most require some money down on the part. I was fine with paying for the part up front. But it's unheard of to request payment for the labor before the part even arrives, before the work is scheduled, and the work is completed. Getting rushed off the phone, and the request for labor payment in advance gave me pause on pursuing anything with DW. I went with my gut on this one. They may have done an incredible job?, but my gut told me to steer clear. My guess is that DW gets 95%+ of their biz from auto dealers and they don't need consumer walk-ins to survive and consider us a PIA. They will do consumer work, but on their terms. Or--Maybe they are Richy, Rich, near retirement, and don't need more business? Or else there is something else going on there? read more

I had cruise control installed on my 2013 F150. As I understand they only do work for dealers and I was referred by Elk Grove Ford. I could not be happier with the job. Right price, nice control, and installed just as promised. A+ read more

Rude right off the bat! :( Guy walks out of the office while the secretary is talking to me and is very short and rude saying the he needs to know what kind of keyless system I have to do anything about it...I just bought the truck and the keyless doesn't work; that's why I'm coming to you. Also has nobody that could even look at it and needs 'a few days' w/ an appointment on the books so he can arrange to have a tech there which means they hire techs from other shops and pass the extra cost on to you ;D Definitely PASS these guys up! read more

This was my second experience with Dealerworks, the first about 3 years ago, having had them install a sunroof thru a local auto dealer (Woodland Motors) they did an outstanding job.....! Everything looked an functioned "perfectly" so I decide to use them again, with my current car a 2005 Cadillac CTS... Made the appointment, arrived on time afterwards went to pickup the car as agreed.... As I was leaving the parking lot I noticed that the windshield was cracked....! I stopped walked to the office and spoke to Kevin, the manager he went immediately and got the owner. Who went ballistic telling me they weren't responsible for the crack, and doesn't know how it happened. I'm not going to go into the details of his rant, but I'll tell you "he shouldn't be talking to customers" After telling me I needed to call my insurance company to deal with the issue. He went inside.....! After getting my company on the phone, he returns telling me they would cover the windshield and that they were sorry and appreciated my business.... WOW what a turn around.....! So, to end the story "yes" they paid for a new windshield and I had to return to have them correct several things they had forgotten to reconnect, or check before they returned the vehicle to me. In summary they do good work, depending on the technician who does the work I agree that they are not used to dealing with the general public, but as long as they keep the owner away from "us" the little people they provide a quality product..... read more

Had them install a rear spoiler. Received car back the spoiler was not installed properly so lose you could hear it going down the road I talked with the owner got the impression that he could care less Return for repairs scratch the trunk lid and curbed both front rims, latte spilled on the front seats. I was told they would fix the scratchs but the rest was my problem. Repaired the scratchs and left trunk lid trim off and found in back seat. Tryed to get a hold of them numerous times, was basically told to f off read more

I recently purchased a new leather interior for my 2016 Camaro Convertible. First Ryan helped me pick out the best two tone colors as well as perforated pattern. It only took a day and a half to install and it looks terrific. I would strongly recommend this shop for upholster work, and the price was outstanding. read more

i had them do my leather katskin interior thru folsom lake ford , worse job of my life , had another shop do my seats after them. they shrank my back seat you could see the freaking mounting bolts, font seats were beyond loose and back of seat was hanging looked like a 3 year old did the job, and returned my car with a empty tank of gas ! 2014 fusion. worse shop ever. read more

I went to Dealer Works to have my sunroof glass replaced. I called first and spoke to Kevin. He was very knowledgeable and friendly on the phone with me. I scheduled my appt for 10:00 AM. I arrived about 30 mins early. I was greeted by a very nice lady, She asked me what year my car was and told me the cost which was less than I was quoted on the phone. :-) I sat down and within 30 minutes the car was done! I was charged a lower price for the total cost including the labor. I had a great experience there and would highly recommend them. read more

took my 2006 Tacoma in to DW to have KATZKIN leather interior installed. Katzkin recommended DW and they set the appointment for me to stop by for an estimate. I was treated very well, they were very knowledgeable and made some design option recommendation - which I eventually selected. After purchasing a new Toyota Tacoma, I wanted to upgrade to leather seats. I had a dealer recommend dealer works. From start to finish my experience was well above average. Not only was the price reasonable and better than expected, but the finished product far exceeded my expectations. I even added heated seats and have yet to turn them off. I purchased my truck two weeks ago it's a 2013 Silverado it had aftermarket Katskin leather in it. The driver seat left corner had come loose a little bit and the foam padding was showing, I dropped by Dealerworks works to find out if they could take care of it for me. They went above and beyond what I expected not only did they fix the driver seat they fixed the passenger seat so it would not develop the same issue. Outstanding customer service and great people working there. I highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking of having leather put in to their new or used vehicle and or need fixing of any problems they have with the leather seats. read more
