I'm a single senior female with a limited knowledge of computers. I can address some minor issues on my own, but reached the limit of my knowledge when trying to install a new printer which required a driver download I just couldn't make work. So I called a couple of Yelp's top rated people, and Dean was the first to call back. She was also able to squeeze me in the same day, which may have been luck, but I got the feeling she understood the urgency of her clients' problems and tried to accommodate us as best she could. I contacted Dean after learning about her via yelp. My laptop had frozen up on me and would not let me access my profile or any thing. I was scared to death as I had not backed up my laptop ever... my fault I know better than this! So I called Dean and dropped off my laptop the next day. She called me each day she had the machine to explain the processes she was going through to get the viruses removed, yes viruses, as in more than 6! I had taken her my external hard drive as well. Dean was not able to undo all of the damage done by the multiple nasty viruses, and my laptop is dead forever which, since it was a cheap ass computer to begin with, I kind of figured it was about time for this baby to die. BUT she did get ALL of my music, documents, photos etc all backed up onto my external hard drive. THANK GOD! I could have lost all my wedding pics, vacation pics, and thousands of songs on itunes. This is our 2nd time using Dean's services. This time we had a brand new desk top onto which we had evidently downloaded corrupted files and a virus - all we knew was that it was a month old and was already slow and crashed constantly. She efficiently diagnosed the problem, very clearly explained the problem in terms we understood, cleaned up the files, and installed software to prevent this from happening again. After too much money spent on virus software and countless hours of our time, we turned to Dean to remove the (gulp 29!) viruses on our PC. She not only removed the viruses and installed some great anti-virus software, but she noticed that all our children's baby photos were on the computer (which we had not backed up) and she managed to save for us. Two totally different experiences with Dean: 1) A quick study and an efficient and extremely knowledgeable person. We had been struggling with the on-line help for our DSL service for a week when we finally called Dean. The service was erratic and it was very hard to determine what was wrong. One computer worked one time, another another time. No rhyme or reason. The router seemed to be working What the heck was going on? Dean came out to our house the same day we called, fixed the problem with the DSL , diagnosing it despite confusing data. We are so grateful after countless hours of being stymied by a complex problem. She managed to do this in just over one hour. 2) Months later, we called Dean to address another problem. She said she would be able to get to it the following week. The said she could do it the next Saturday. Then she never showed or called. I believe she sometimes she goes back to work for a company business. When that happens evidently you are out of luck with no explanation. read more

My computer has had a unusual problem for quite a while that I had previously paid a lot to have it repair and it wasn't. When I called Dean I explained as best I could what was going on. Last week we had a problem with communication issues between our computers and network printer. We had used Dean in the past to troubleshoot and do installations for us. After 3 of us couldn't diagnose the problem we called Dean and in just a few minutes she called us back and was able to solve the problem over the phone. Luckily she was available as she always has been to avert what would have been a disaster. We're upgrading a few of our computers in the near future and are looking forward to having her expertise in reviewing our system and installing some new hardware and software. About a week ago I acquired a new computer, new printer, and some new software. I needed a computer tech to help me put it all together. After looking through Yelp, I decided to try Dean Bradley. I'm glad I did. She came over to my home a few hours after I called her. She's pleasant and knowledgeable, and she did a fine job of making my transition from Windows XP to Windows 7 relatively painless. I was particularly impressed by the way she handled one difficult problem: The computer manufacturer (Dell) had failed to install the antivirus program I had ordered. Dean called Dell, spoke to two or three dummies there who insisted that the antivirus was installed. Finally she reached a competent person who verified that Dean was right and proceeded to download the required software. We had to call in another IT professional who quickly resolved our issue professionally, competently and without condescension. Before I get started, I'd like to mention that I'm a broke college student. There, now lots of you can relate to my situation. My computer had also been broken for almost a year before I had the time and money to even attempt to repair it; by the time I got around to it, I had forgotten much of the problem and decided to call in a professional. I looked at the highest ratings, compared the top three, and made some calls. This very helpful lady got back to me first, was the best value for what I needed done, and was very understanding (work and school don't make it easy to be home long enough for this kind of thing). I definitely appreciated the less impersonal touch - some computer repair places can be kind of condescending, and that's a turnoff. Nobody needs to feel additionally stupid when getting their computer repaired. Dean Bradley actually had a conversation with me about what was up with my PC before even setting up an appointment, and without the 'you're wasting my time, idiot' feel you can get sometimes. We were done in just a couple hours with a problem that had taken me a year to figure out. I wont go into detail because of how aggravatingly complicated it turned out to be, but rest assured - she will help you figure something out. I've had two major desktop nightmares in the last six months, and both times Dean was excellent at providing possible causes, descriptions of how she would verify the cause and what she could do to resolve the issue.
