My wife bought a Nissan Murano last year. When we purchased it, there were several small pock…read moremarks on the hood which the salesman promised to repair the hood. The repair was to order her a bottle of paint to repair it ourselves. Two months later, the touch up paint arrived. However, the paint did not match leaving black dots all over the hood. After some communication, the sales manager agreed to repaint the hood. What was promised before and told afterward was that the entire hood was removed and repainted. The reality is that the hood never left the car. There was tape residue left behind and areas of the paint that were obviously not quite right. Here it is a year later and the pock marks are back just like before. The deal went sour because of lie upon lie. The worst part was the sales manager using his faith as a tool to keep our confidence. Seriously, if you're going to play the faith card, don't get caught lying.

This business engaged in deceptive and misleading practices. I received a mailer clearly stating…read morethat I had won $500 and a 60" TV. I called and spoke with their sales associate Spencer and this was confirmed via a recorded phone conversation that I still have as proof of their dishonest practices to get potential customers in their door for a sale. After driving 30 minutes to their location, I was told by Spencer and Mr. Green that I had not won those prizes. The advertisement was plainly misleading and appears to be a tactic to bring people through the door under false pretenses. This reflects a serious lack of honesty, integrity, and transparency. I would strongly caution others before doing business with this company. Photos of the mailer are attached for reference.

I really wanted to give Secret City CDJR a glowing review--but they made it difficult. So here's…read morethe Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of my experience. THE GOOD Secret City was the only dealership within a three-state radius willing to make a deal entirely online. Even though they were an hour and a half away, the process was smooth. In my opinion, Phil Edmunds (Internet Sales) is worth his weight in gold--Secret City CDJR is lucky to have him. After just three emails, the deal was done. Shoutout also to Channon Arden, Product Specialist--you know, the guy most people dread because they push all the aftermarket extras. When he brought up the extended warranty, I told him I could get it for less than half the price directly from Chrysler. I said if he could match it, I'd buy it from him. He checked, said he couldn't beat it, and that was that--no pressure. Same with the Maintenance Plan: I declined, explained why, and he respected it. No hard sell. THE BAD We told them we couldn't finalize the deal until the following week due to a money transfer, but we were willing to come in Friday (this was arranged on a Wednesday) to do paperwork and put down a deposit to hold the vehicle. Part of the deal--approved by both Phil and the Sales Manager--included swapping the 22" wheels for 20" wheels at no extra cost, with specific tires I had picked out. I was told it was fine to come in, but I'd be handed off to another salesperson since Internet Sales doesn't handle in-person transactions. When I arrived, the truck still had the 22" wheels. The new salesperson said he knew nothing about the swap and needed to check with the Sales Manager. I handed him a printout of my offer and the acceptance. After checking, he returned and said, "All is good." I came back the following Wednesday to pay the balance and pick up the truck. The wheels still hadn't been changed. I was told not to worry--they'd fix it quickly. Over an hour later, they brought the truck around, and I assumed everything was done. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed they had installed off-road tires instead of the ones I requested. THE UGLY I immediately contacted Phil and the salesperson who handled the paperwork. I never heard back from the latter, but Phil said the deal never included the specific tires I requested. I then reached out to the Sales Manager, who said the same--but offered to sell me the correct tires. I reminded him that I had the offer in writing, including the specific tires, and proof that both Phil and he had accepted it. Only after seeing the documentation did they agree to honor the deal. CONCLUSION In the end, they did the right thing. The correct tires were ordered and installed. When I dropped off the truck, it was filthy from a dump run--twigs and leaves everywhere. When I picked it up, the truck and bed were spotless. I always say: it's not about the mistakes a company makes, but how they handle them. And once all the facts came out, I was very happy with how Secret City CDJR resolved the issue.

I always look for quality work at a reasonable price. I believe I have always gotten that at Sexton Auto so I continue to bring my car here as I can depend on receiving a fair estimate on good work. In all these years, I have never had to bring my vehicle back for rework. In fact, if the work requires extensive time to repair, they offer a loaner vehicle. I am very pleased with their entire service. I have always been treated courteously.

They blamed it on the van being old (it's less than 15 years old and in good shape) and having corroded lugs, but I rotated the tires a week before myself and know they aren't. I spoke to the shop manager and he told me that 4 of the lugs were good there was just the one broken one, so I said I'd order the wheel hub and do it myself. My grandparents drove it around and even went on the interstate with only two good lugs holding the wheel on during the 2 days when I was waiting on the part to come in. They could have been seriously hurt or killed by the shop's incompetence. I even went in and spoke to the shop afterward in case they weren't aware of how bad they left it, and all they tried to blame it on me for wanting to fix it myself to save $500 for two hours of my time.
