He put in more Freon and explained my car had a very tiny hole that was evaporating the Freon but nothing major. Dean is just simply fantastic. I took a recently purchased 2013 Subaru with a salvage title and brought the vehicle to him for a break and lamp inspection. I found him because of Yelp! Although my car did not initially pass due to rear breaks, he gave me options to do the break work elsewhere and bring it back for re inspection. His price was very reasonable, so he did the break job that day and I had my certificate! He was so personable and honest I decided to bring the car back for a service and an inspection on the air bag light that kept coming on. I purchased this vehicle for my daughter and I know that Dean understood I wanted to make sure it was safe and ready for her to drive. I made an appointment for a few days later and brought it for a full service and diagnosis. Not only did he perform the service, during his diagnosis he adjusted the new door we had installed by a family friend that was loose. He went the extra mile for me and I will always be appreciative for that. I wish he worked on BMWs because if he did, he would be MY mechanic for sure. I was referred to Deans by a friend when I needed new brakes. I am on a tight budget and my friend told me that Dean would do a professional job at the lowest price. While there, Dean discovered that I had a ball bearing that was about to freeze up on one of my tires. I had heard/felt this horrific vibration sound/feeling coming from the tires but couldn't identify the cause. Thank god he found it!! As a mechanic myself, this place really goes out for you to make sure you're getting the best bang for your buck and the service is SUPERIOR! Needed a brake and light adjustment and he did just that and even adjusted my parking brake which was loose. Adjusted my headlight as well. Failed initially for the headlight brackets being broken and left license plate out but after I fixed it, everything went well! He really helped me in fitting me into his schedule also. He has very good time management and his crew is also very friendly! There's only two apparently in Fairfield and none in Vacaville. I'm glad I went to a reputable shop. I came here to have my radiator replaced after reading reviews of dozens of local auto shops. I had a really good feeling based off of the Yelp and Google reviews of this shop. In turn, I received the best service I could ask for. Dean and his shop partner (I can't remember his name) were very polite, honest and straightforward. Quite possibly the cleanest garage I have been to. I feel like I struck gold with finding these guys as we were not taken advantage of or pressured to take care of other items "requiring immediate attention." I was quoted a significantly higher estimate with a local Vacaville dealership, in addition to a few other garages. However, Deans was far and away the best price I could find. Sometimes cheap does not always mean quality, but these guys explained what they were using and truly gave a fair quote. They also used genuine parts to replace. I only wish I had my timing belt and water pump replaced by Dean. Additionally, when we returned to pick up our car, they showed us our radiator and explained why it was in fact good that we had it replaced since it was truly hanging on by a thread. They explained it to us with words that we understood without having too much knowledge of engines. They were prompt, provided excellent customer service, and truly honest. It's the fist time I left an auto shop without feeling ripped off in my life. Moving forward, I will be going to these guys for anything car related. GREAT service would recommend this shop to anyone. I was In need of a break and lamp inspection requested by Dmv for a salvage title and at first took my car into Ryan's Automotive BIG mistake !!! At first my car wouldn't pass the lamp inspection due to a dim headlight and they told me to come back once I fixed it !! so I did and they failed me a second time for a totally different reason so I fixed what he said was wrong came back a third time he tried telling me something else popped up (mind you each time it fails they charge you a fee for re-inspection) I started to get the feeling that because I was a " young Lady " they were going to sucker me out of my money!! A good friend told me about Deans shop so I figured I give it a go. I took the list of reasons why my car was failing to Dean he looked at it and laughed and said all his customers complain about Ryan's being dishonest and money hungry !! Dean was very busy that day but still made time to squeeze my car in before he closed down shop for the day !! My car passed on his machine with flying colors took about 10-15 minutes tops and I walked out with my lamp certificate , he said there was no reason for Ryan to fail my car & that there was nothing wrong .
