This is a tricky transmission that a lot of shops don't have experience with rebuilding, often times they will default to a full replacement (no kidding: about $9,000). I brought Vince a mystery issue with a Ford Edge I had just bought. He completed the first repair but the part was faulty and immediately had the same issue return. He brought it back in, submitted the warranty part for a new one, did not charge me to do any of the work again and then, when we discovered the transfer case also had an issue, he got me a great deal on a gently used part and put that in and took a bit off the cost of that as well...just to be fair to me (which I really appreciate). It's a project for sure that requires extra communication between the customer (me) and the builder (Vince). I had Vince Rebuild my 4L70E transmission in my 06 Gmc sierra 1500 4x4 pickup. I had him do a stage 2 build, built to handle 500hp/500 ft Tq, upped the stall speed, shift kit, corvette servo, heavy duty planatary gears. He was detail oriented to what my wants/needs were. He kept things in my budget range. The performance difference was very noticeable. I was also looking for an extended warranty and he gave me one of those for my own piece of mind on my investment. His prices are reasonable, he took a little longer then orginally expected but Im glad he took his time. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, very communicative. I have a 2017 Kia Forte and was involved in an accident that caused my engine to seize. I contacted them for an engine replacement quote online and was contacted by someone the same day. I was skeptical as this was my first time doing something like this but over a few conversations with the very knowledgeable manager, Vince, we were able to come to an agreement for an engine replacement that was $500 less than what I had found online. Not to mention I would've still had to find a way to have it shipped but thankfully he was able to find me the exact engine I needed with 30,000 miles less than the one I had! As per my last review I explained the situation and the unfortunate circumstances that came to pass but get this; took it to a new mechanic he looked at my transmission and said nothing was wrong with it. There was no crack like Vince said, there was a sensor loose and my fluid cap needed to be replaced. The new mechanic put fluid into the car after and it's completely fine. No leaks, no problems. This place did not even look at my car one time to access the problem, I'm assuming he just guessed what was wrong. Vince almost had me buy a brand new $5k transmission and I'm glad I didn't do that for him to probably turn around and do something shady behind my back, who knows what really goes on here.
