DEAN'S SERVICE IS A LEAN MEAN HEATING MACHINE! After being at the hospital all day on Thursday with my wife and imminently arriving newborns I expected to come home to a warm house and to take a hot shower and to hit the bed before heading to bed. Instead I came home to a cold house that was 64 degrees even though the thermostat was set to 72 degrees. Despite all my efforts to get the temperature up, the indoor temperature never passed 66 degrees that night. The next day I reached out to no less than half a dozen HVAC maintenance and repair services, but none of them could make it out to see me that day and most of them told me that the soonest they could come was the next week. By that time I'd be coming home with a pair of twin newborns and my wife to a freezing cold house so that smelled like disaster to me. But then I got a call from Dean's Service and they told me that not only could they be there that day, but that they had a tech out in nearby Cherry Hill and that he could be at my house in an hour. So I said my goodbyes at the hospital and made my way back to my house half-expecting to be waiting a while for the tech to arrive. Not only did the tech arrive on-time, but he had actually arrived at our house at least 10 minutes before we could get there. I was impressed already. Benjamin, the Service Technician, wasted no time and opened up our heating system to diagnose the problem. After consulting with his office he determined that the fan inducer required replacement and that we had a clogged drainage tube. He unclogged the drain and cleaned up any of the water that was released from the system. Within a few hours the heating system began producing its usual indoor temperature. What surprised me most of all was that in the end I was not presented with a bill because it was determined that all he did was diagnose the potential problem and despite spending over an hour in my house, unclogged the drainage, and cleaned up the water that he did not consider as if he had actually fixed anything that day. That's right, while other HVAC companies mentioned that they would be a charge just for coming out to the house and potentially not doing anything or finding the issue we were left with a warmer house and a diagnosed problem. We could not have been happier with Benjamin and Dean's Service and we would not hesitate to call them again or to recommend them to any of our friends in need of HVAC servicing. read more

This review is well overdue!! Dean's Service was contacted for my home at first. It was around the holidays (Christmas) when we noted our heating system was not blowing out hot air. It was bitter cold & due to the holidays; I was having a hard time finding a company that was open. I came across Dean's Service, read the reviews & gave them a call. Daniel answered & I explained the situation. A gentleman (I am so sorry but I do not recall his name) arrived the same day & it was a simple fix!! We had our heating system functioning yet again!! I was overjoyed & grateful!! ((Now a few years later)) My mom contacted me stating her central air unit may be in need of Freon. I told her I would contact the same company that helped me a few years ago. I went nuts looking for their number but finally found it. I called & Daniel picked up (you'll know it is Daniel for he is very kind & has a nice accent). Jason was scheduled to come between the hours of 3pm-5pm. At 5:32p.m. I contacted Daniel & he reached out to Jason. Jason gave me a call to alert me he was coming from N.J. & he'd make it on or about 6:45 p.m. That was not a big deal to me as I am aware it was rush hour & sometimes scheduled jobs take longer than anticipated. Communication with Dean's Services is beyond exceptional. Jason alerted me Mom's A.C. unit was in need of replacement. Our neighbor inquired about a new A.C. unit & heating system & Jason gladly took the time to take a look (although that wasn't on his "to-do list"), he took photos & stated the boss will email the estimate to the neighbor & myself. An estimate was received the following day & I spoke with a Lady in the office in reference to the estimate & it is just a matter of Mom giving the go!! If she does, I will follow up with another review!! I am huge researcher & overall I will say Dean's Services Inc. provided Mom with the best price possible!! We are a property management company located on South Street and we manage multiple properties for rent. One of my tenants called to say they didn't have heat. I called my regular heating guy to go check the issue out. I told him it was a wall unit heating system and he thought he could fix it. Needless to say, he couldn't. He actually told me that he thought it was the compressor and might need a new one. I was at my wits end with trying to find someone that knew how to fix these types of units. I googled every heating company that I could find on the internet an NO ONE fixed this type of unit. Then I found Dean's Service. I looked at the reviews and it got pretty good ones and I thought, let me give them a try. The person that answered, Daniel said that they did fix wall heating units. I forgot to mention that this was Thursday, before Christmas so that was a big problem since it was the holiday and I needed to get this fixed before we closed for the holiday. Well, they went out on Friday. Daniel called me when they got back and he told me that there was nothing wrong with the unit. They just didn't know how to operate the remote control!! I couldn't believe it but was grateful at the same time that this is all that it was. I asked Daniel if there was a service fee and he said NO, it is free of charge. "we didn't do anything" I was so pleased with their quick response and their honesty. They could have easily charged us a lot of money since we had no idea what the issue was. My wife and I had purchased a foreclosed house 3 years ago in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, which was not well taken care of. With the upcoming birth of our second baby, we decided that we should clean our air ducts to improve the air quality within our home, as it is likely that it has never been done before and dust must have gathered quite a bit in the vents and ducts. A search through various reviews let me to Dean's Service, which had many raving reviews about their service, which I must say I agree with. Andy came out on a Sunday afternoon within the expected time frame provided. While the large vacuum was cleaning out the duct work, he and his colleague went and meticulously vacuumed each and every vent and intake throughout the entire house. Everything felt so much fresher and cleaner. The entire service was at one very affordable and reasonable priced flat rate, unlike other services I found whom charged a per vent fee for even a basic vacuum. We did not choose the optional deep scrubbing, which was an additional cost per vent, as they did a fantastic job already, beyond what I had expected. Andy and his colleague were very courteous and professional, kept the work area clean, and were outstanding and accommodating. I highly recommend Dean's Service for air duct cleaning. read more

Ben came in to clean our heating system. He also cleaned the dryer vent and sucked all the dust out of the heating system. He told me about a halogen light system that kills bacteria in your heating system and I of course have a million allergies and autoimmune diseases. I don't know, but it's like God sent Ben who came and did a great job. He was courteous. He apologized for being only a few moments late. I was very impressed with the service. He worked in such a way that I could just tell that he really cared about the work that he was doing and that it was done right. He also wanted me to be happy and for me to find an option that was affordable for me. The heat stopped working after he left. The fuse failed and Ben had to come back the next day. He returned early and figured out the problem. Ben went all the way to Home Depot to pick up a fuse and returned. Everything worked great. We asked Ben what we owed him and he said nothing. "You paid me enough, yesterday." He refused to take any further money. So, I just want to let everyone know, this is a heating and air conditioning service that you can trust and know that you can depend on for years to come. UPDATE: After the initial review, I received a phone call within minutes from the owner of the company, Dean. He offered a partial refund if I modified my review to a 5-star review. After I had refused to make it a 5-star review but agreed to updating the review after I receive a refund, he offered a full refund if I deleted the review altogether. I could not agree to this on moral grounds and I told him that I am still happy to post a positive update after I'd received the refund. That was 2 weeks ago. I followed up a couple of times and not heard back. While the owner claimed that his only goal is to provide "best service" to me as a customer, the only thing he was really trying to do is influence the rating on yelp. As soon as it was clear that I cannot be compromised into removing or fabricating the review, all communication stopped. Long story short: I have had poor experience with this company. Your mileage may vary, but their "brushing" efforts make me think that you should not believe the high reviews you are seeing for Dean's service and not fall for that as I did. read more

Purchased a deal from Living Social for a basic vent cleaning service and received so much more! First of all they not only called the day before to confirm our appointment, which was super easy to get by the way, then they also called in the morning prior to arriving to let us know they would be here in about 20 minutes. They arrived in almost exactly that time! They started working immediately. Once they started they checked all of our vents and let us know what else needed to be done. We were not prepared for for additional services and they did not pressure us however, when we saw all the dust and allergens and spiders in our vents we knew we had to get it taken care of. They explained everything in detail and each step of the way proving to us that we clearly needed it! Now our house heats up faster and the system seems to run more efficiently. I have major allergies and asthma and this has improved my breathing! I would absolutely use them again and refer them to all my friends. I have already scheduled them to come back and replace my air conditioning system. read more

great Hvac workers , but horrible management especially Yaron Daniel Shalom or Dean levi , keeps changing his name weird . Basically, our agreement was not met, and they didn't make it right for me . I kept trying to reach them but i did not get a call back about an installation cost and adjustment over charged . So therefore , I wrote a review, which actually I wanted to express my thoughts here. The next few days they constantly kept calling and making direct threats on the phone to my home and business about taking down my review or else?? They didn't like my point a view which was true to all the detail of my complaints , and this is the only way I am able spread the world out on here. So on their defense they went too far. Using profanity plus harassment tactics by calling one hundred times a day is totally unprofessional and disrespectful , especially when it is disruptive in a personal and private home and business setting. Lastly I don't recommend Deans service dealing with them was extremely stressful especially in the middle of bad economic times. read more

They came to my house yesterday (Tuesday May 31st) to clean my unit and ducts, while they were down in the cellar, they took it upon themselves to open a new case of water and help themselves, and to open a new pack of paper towels, and leave dirty finger prints on the rest of the roll. They never asked and I never gave them permission to do so. Not pleased with technicians doing as they like with my stuff. EDIT: I was contacted shortly after writing this review and was offered replacement water and paper towels. I told the guy I would have to get back to him, and when I called back and left a message, he never got back to me; That is until today (June 14th). He blew up my phone trying to get in touch with me saying he stopped by the house and knocked, but being as I was given no notice that someone was stopping by, I was not home. When I did speak to him, he accused me of being a liar and stated that his technicians "swear they did not take anything." The service was good, but I want them no where near my property, and they were told not to contact me again. read more

this is the worst company for a/c services in new jersey. daniel is a liar and terrible man. my first schedule d screamed appointment he canceled. the appointment i had today when just speaming with him he said he forgot to schedule, after promising me he be here for sure 2 weeks ago. daniel is not only a liar and a bastard for mistreating the elderly...do not trust this terrible excuse for a human being. im a 67 year old man with diabetes and i begged him to come do my a/c tune up and vent air duct cleaning because i need to be cool at all times due to my diabetes condition and taking of insulin 3 times a day. he has been reported to the mount laurel police department along with the taped conversation of him promising he be here today june1 1,2025. after i have just buried my 15 year old grandson 2 weeks ago. stay away from dean service's. beware of this of this organization anx especially beware of dean. he doest deserve to be a seller in new jersey or anywhere. especially his mis treatment of the elderly! read more

On a hot Saturday morning during the the month of August 2022, my air conditioner stopped working. I started calling several HVAC companies, and since it was a weekend the calls were answer either by an answering service or just an answering machine. At Dean's Service Inc. a real person answered the phone. to my surprise I was given an appointment for the afternoon. a short time later I received a call from Dean's where I was told that a technician was available sooner. Within a short time after his arrival Tyron Serrano diagnosed the problem and quickly fixed it. Again on Saturday August 5, 2023, I discovered that my hot water tank was leaking. Being that it's 8 pm on a weekend I just called Dean's and promptly Daniel answered the call. He asked for some information which I promptly forwarded. Within a hour I received a quote which after my approval I was given an appointment for Monday August 7. Luckily Tayron and a coworker lie two professionals installed a replacement water tank. I was extremely satisfied with the service, from the office scheduling to the service tech, Daniel. He arrived on time, was very professional, and very informative without adding on any unnecessary services just to increase the price. My husband found Dean's on livingsocial and bought the air duct and dryer vent cleaning service. I knew the dryer vent had not been cleaned in the four years we've lived here, so I was very glad it was done! Daniel showed me all the lint that he cleaned out. It could have caused a fire at any time. The picture of the heater/ac blades inside the unit was worse than I thought. We worked out a very reasonable, mutually- agreeable price and he took apart the unit and cleaned the blades. He suggested a much better filter so the blades won't become this bad again. This company, and especially Daniel, is highly recommended. I won't need to air out my house in the winter and freeze this year just so I can breathe fresh air! We had a great experience with Dean's from start to finish. Daniel was our contact from the beginning and set things up in an extremely friendly and organized manner. They arrived quickly to diagnose our issue when our HVAC failed suddenly. Once our issue was diagnosed they quickly provided a reasonable quote, scheduled the work within a day and were also very helpful with communications to our home warranty company. Our installation could not have gone better. Our technician Jason and his partner James arrived on time and got right to work. They were respectful of our space and worked cleanly and efficiently. Jason could not have been more helpful with talking me through everything he was doing and providing me with helpful information. Once the install was complete we were back up and running and quickly cooled down while it was still 100 plus degrees outside. I called and within 5 minutes I had scheduled a house-call for the following morning within a 2 hour window. A few minutes later I got a text with a link to a website that had all the info for our appointment, which was nice because I could confirm everything. The next morning, Ben called me when he was 20 minutes away, which was appreciated. He arrived on time. I was worried because our heater was working at that moment--our problem was that the heater would stop working for a while, then come back, then stop again, etc. I was worried that the problem couldn't be diagnosed while the heater was working. Ben was extremely knowledgeable and very easy to work with--he figured out the issue within 5 minutes and immediately negotiated a fair price to make the repair. About 20 minutes later, he had removed a valve and installed a few pieces of metal sheeting to our ducts. Problem solved! I scheduled Dean's Service for a vent cleaning today. Ben was the service person performing the cleaning. He called me prior to the appointment to ask if I would like him to start earlier today (which I appreciated) and showed up exactly when he said he would. He was extremely efficient and professional. This was the first time I have had the vents cleaned and Ben talked me through the entire process. My vents and furnace needed a more thorough cleaning than the basic maintenance package I selected. Ben showed me the problem areas but did not pressure me into an upgraded package. I chose to go with it because after Ben showed me all the areas and explained it, it made so much sense to do it. After the work was done, He showed me all the stuff that came out of the vents. It was eye opening! Ben was very polite and I will continue to use this company in the future. We woke up in the middle of the night to hear dripping throughout our house. Our third floor HVAC unit was leaking and it had gone straight through to our first floor. I called Dean's the next morning and they arrived the same afternoon. Angelo and Landon couldn't have been nicer. Down to earth, courteous, and genuinely nice guys to talk to. They were efficient and thorough while explaining what they were checking and working on. They ended up including the inspection fee with the overall service charge and addressed the issues responsible for our problems within an hour and a half of arriving at our house. They even suggested some follow-up plans to ensure that we can avoid a situation like this in the future. So glad we decided to have our air ducts cleaned and hired these guys! We just moved into our house and knew we wanted the ducts cleaned but didn't see it as a high priority. However, ever since we moved in I had been waking up with a sinus headache and taking allergy meds every day. So we decided to go for it and I am so glad we did. I felt like the difference in air quality was immediate. Since we had the ducts cleaned my headaches have completely stopped! It gives us so much peace of mind to know we are breathing clean air.
