One of my top-tier Acai places! The Acai is very good and they have a ton of options for toppings with as much toppings as you'd like. Service was okay as there was only 1 worker but nonetheless the wait wasn't very long at all. There's seating inside with ample space. I definitely would be coming back again as I love how they make it overflowing the bowl.

MY NEW FAVORITE ACAI PLACE!!! I could eat acai bowls everyday and Dear Acai is my new favorite place! They have so many toppings and bases that I've never gotten at other places! Amazing acai bowl place! It was recommended to me for being very generous with toppings, and I finally got to experience it for myself. I got a 12 oz ($11) and the value was amazing. I got to sample the different bases first and pick as many as I wanted. I picked Acai, blue pineapple and matcha. Then I added matcha pudding and pumpkin flax granola and almost all of their fruits. I love adding all the seeds (hemp, chia, flax), bee pollen and gogi berries and then cashew butter on top. There were so many toppings that she gave me a separate cup just for toppings. I wasn't able to finish it all in one sitting! I also got a ginger shot ($3), which was BOGO! It was very concentrated and potent, which was great. There were also cookies and banana bread ($2 per slice, $7 per loaf) for sale by the cashier. Everything is very reasonably priced - I'll definitely get some bread next time! Overall, the bases are on the sweeter side so it helps to balance them with the walnut, pumpkin seeds, nut butter and fruits. I liked the matcha base and matcha pudding the best. Next time I'll try the coconut based and passion fruit to see how sweet they are. I liked all the fruits except the pineapples. I was impressed that they also had dried mulberries, which were very sweet, so just a few is good. Can't wait to bring my son here!

I was very happy to come here. Generally makes me nervous to try new acai places because so many are stingy on ingredients, but Dear Acai is not! I ordered a custom bowl on DoorDash for pickup and I was so surprised when I was handed an overflowing order - it was delicious. All of the ingredients tasted fresh, including the granola, and they were generous with the almond butter topping. The photo shown is the medium size and it is more than enough for they pack it. The shop is cute with seating available and a large selection of ingredients to choose from. I will definitely come again to try other options.

Matcha & Acai base 24OZ BUILD YOUR OWN BOWL

The staff were really friendly and emphasized the point of how customizable each bowl could be. The bases had a really satisfying consistency and is refreshing. This place is very affordable too and the atmosphere was comfortable environment to eat in. Overall, this place is really solid and delicious. I will come here again.

Awesome place to get acai with a great atmosphere and quality options. Unfortunately, the location closed earlier than expected during the visit, and there was only a sign posted regarding the early closure. It was a little disappointing after making the trip, but the discount offered was appreciated. Overall, still a good spot and hopeful for a better experience next time.

I'm glad another açai spot opened close to home! I went for the soft opening and I do see the potential here. First off, there's plenty of parking in this plaza. They have a wide variety of bases, including Ube, which I thought was cool and lots of toppings to choose from. I was able to sample a little bit of everything and I like the coconut, ube, açai and pitaya bases. Unfortunately, when we went, the AC was broken, which I think may have affected how quickly the bases melted in my bowl. Although, the pitaya base did have a chunk of ice in there which I hate finding lol. From a customer's perspective, I think they should label the toppings individually/next to the containers since I prefer knowing what the toppings are when I look at them versus trying to figure it out on the list that they have on the glass. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I will be returning and I hope the next experience is even better. read more

First time trying out Dear Acai! I chose three bases for my acai bowl: acai, blue pineapple, and ube. The bases melted quickly and left a watery texture with separation. They were very generous with the fruit servings. However, the pineapple was not fresh and was very soggy which made my bowl less enjoyable. They were also very generous with the toppings! I am a HUGE fan of açaí bowls, so I was ecstatic to see that there was a new spot that just opened up near me! Upon arriving to the shop, I was greeted promptly by the workers and the owner whom was very sweet! I love how you're able to sample different bases. I'm a very simple gal so I chose açaí, ube, chia seeds, honey almond granola, some fruits & almond butter to top it off! Ever since Dear Acai opened in Garden Grove I've been coming here every weekend. Everything is perfect -- the bases, the toppings, the fruit is always always fresh, there's always seating available, the music they play is always good, the decorations they have (all the Smiskis and Sonny Angels) are so cute. The service I get every time I go here is always top notch. Everyone is so friendly, some of them recognize us since we go so often I will always recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a refreshing sweet treat. Went here today for the first time and gotta say, this is going to be my go to açaí bowl spot from now on! They give unlimited toppings for their bowls, even if that means putting the extra toppings into a separated bowl for you which is SOOOOOOO generous!!! The base flavors are soooo yum too, I tried the blue pineapple, açaí, and pitaya and loved them all so much I couldn't decide and ended up getting all three! Service was also great, the girl serving us was so sweet and helpful. The inside also has seats so you can sit and eat and don't have to take out. Def going here from now on for açaí bowls. New spot that's affordable and decent acai bowls. I would give their bowls 3.9/5 just because a lot of the fruits options weren't available when my friends and I went. The matcha base was a bit too icy. 3 stars because: The two workers were slaying away, the only problem was that, the place DIDN'T have AC, which isn't right. These poor workers are working in, I would say +/- 78°F space. treat your workers better. But other than that, the bowls overall were good!!! Would definitely come again!!! Edit: I saw the business owner's reply to my comment. Thank you for addressing everything I said, I would definitely come again with my friends. One thing mentioned in the response was that the AC was broken that morning, which I went yesterday 07/21/24. My friends, who went on 07/15/24, said there was no AC that day when they visited. So I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but either way, thank you for working on the issues, kudos! read more

It's been awhile since an açaí place has surprised me in the best way possible! The bowls are packed to high heaven and you can mix up whatever and how ever much you like for your bowl. The variety of options are endless and the staff are very patient and generous when making your bowl. I had to laugh when the staff was making my mom's bowl b/c of how many toppings she got and how hard she was trying to get it all in the bowl. 5 stars to her. The owner was also very friendly and she offered us samples of her ginger shots which were really good & strong! The only very small issue I had was slow response on their text pick up option. They have a text your order pick up option with their phone number and instructions on instagram which is a rare option in itself! So I decided to try it out of curiosity & convenience since I had 3 pretty packed bowls. I texted 10-15min prior to my arrival, like most ppl I saw do on their ig, but no response so I just ordered inside when I arrived. I did get a response the next day with an apology so that cleared that up. Just wanted to state it here just in case others were thinking of texting in their order. I myself will try the text option again in the future, their bowls are that good! Also check their instagram highlights for up close videos of their bases and toppings! Really helped a person like me who likes to make her bowl in advance before heading into the store :) Overall, I love what they're doing at dear açaí and would highly recommend them as a must stop when you're in the OC! read more

Dear Acai is easily my favorite spot for acai bowls! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be making my way back. The ube and coconut base was absolutely delicious--creamy, flavorful, and not overly sweet. They also have a great selection of toppings that complement the bowl perfectly. The best part? My fiancé's omelette was okay and wasn't fantastic. We finished our meal rather quickly and left. It's nice to have a local breakfast restaurant that has been well loved by the neighboring residents. Instead of seating us, they made all 9 of us stand right next to literally 10 wide-open seats for over 5 minutes. To make matters worse, the staff kept giving us looks that made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome. In over a decade, we have never been made to feel like a burden here until today. It wasn't cool, and it completely ruined what is usually a great family tradition. It hurts to say this after 10 years of loyalty, but if you have a big party, don't go here. They clearly cannot handle it, or simply do not want the business.

I have to admit that Dear Acai is one of the best acai bowl places I have ever tried!! This was my second time coming here and all I can say is that this spot will certainly be my go-to. I am so happy to know that this acai spot is locally available in Garden Grove . You are able to choose from a variety of unlimited bases and unlimited toppings for a reasonable price. Dear açaí is one of the best acai places I've been to!! The place is very clean and organized , the service is friendly and helpful. They allow you to sample as many bases as you'd like to fit your craving. I love how they have unlimited bases and unlimited toppings , so you can get creative and build your own unique delicious bowls!! Dear Açaí is hands down my go-to açaí spot! They are an amazing place with the best customer service--everyone is always so friendly, patient, and welcoming. I love that they let you try different toppings and flavors of any kind, which makes the experience even better. They never rush you and are always generous, loading up your cup every time. I had the pleasure today to grab an acai bowl from this place and I couldn't be more impressed with the service, quality and unbelievable prices. Unlimited topings, different bases and anyway it was delicious!! I am always in the look to find healthy choices and I grab mine to got but it is a nice place if you want to enjoy right there. I love this place so much! i was so happy when this opened up because this is the closest acai place near me, the customer service is amazing. they let you sample the flavors. they have a great variety of bases and add ons. everytime i go i have a great experience.
