Mom died half a year earlier and I thought I was going to lose my Dad too (it was a difficult year). Other times there were "miscommunications" about expected charges (besides regular cleanings and fillings I've needed a few crowns and a root canal). I'd recommend ALWAYS getting a written estimate and holding on to it. Last summer a filling came out while I was out of state. I left a question on the office voicemail after-hours. I woke up the next day to find they had scheduled me for an appointment without speaking to me and they were unhappy I didn't make an appointment that I never made. They also were always leaving messages at the last minute asking me to come in earlier or later. As a caregiver who also works for the State it's really difficult to get away or change my schedule at last minute. I found out from my new dentist they also sent a snarky note along with my records. I found them really difficult to work with. I recommend trying other places first.

For me the appointments are not only pleasant, they are enjoyable and they are down right FUN~!~!~!~!~!~! I have had 7 appointments with Northwest Dental Arts as I discovered them in December 2014. Of these 7 appointments 4 have been with Jodie for Periodontal Maintenance and 3 have been with Doctor Frankel for an exam and 2 fillings. I have had two knee replacement surgeries so I must maintain my dental hygiene to the maximum because falls and infections are the two leading causes of knee implant failure. I have Dearly LOVED all 7 appointments. Doctor Frankel and Jodie are top professionals. I should know as I have more experiences with dentists in my 69 years of life than most people. I estimate that I have experiences with about 40 dentists in several states. The entire staff is professional, competent, courteous, helpful, friendly, warm and caring.
