We absolutely LOVE this studio . It's a bit of a drive for us but definitely worth it as the instructors really know what they are doing and I have seen all three of my kids confidence soar over the last few months . We have not only enjoyed the classes but the showcases as well where they are able to perform and reflect on what they have learned . We enrolled our oldest as her goal was to become more confident but quickly saw the benefits for the younger ones as well . My 9 yr old son who has been in speech therapy since 4 years old is no longer in need of it ! My 6 year old wishes she could come everyday and my 11 year old enjoys the challenges in the teen class . All three have recently signed with an agency in Los Angeles and have used skills taught in the studio in their auditions . We look forward to continuing with Dearing and adding new skills to their toolbox.

Absolutely love this acting studio. I was a student at Dearing for 3+ years. I matured there from being an inexperienced wishy-washy actor hopeful, to a skilled serious craftsman. The other students I met in my time were incredible. I made lasting friendships with them as well as the staff. Matt does his best to encourage his students develop all of their skills and talents- not just acting. I've experienced and witnessed extremely moving scene studies, disappointments and triumphs, and most importantly to me---so many opportunities to truly learn. The environment is very supportive. I saw a huge difference between me at the beginning and me at the end, but I will say this: you have to be willing to put in the work and give full effort if you expect the training to make a difference, and you should try to be welcoming of critiques as a platform to improve your work rather than take them personally (and that's true of any acting studio or school- not just this one). Those are the two keys to really get where you wanna be with training. Anyways would fully recommend this studio for actors in AZ who want to advance their craft.

Dearing Acting Studio is much more than it may seem at first glance. Every person who walks into the studio not only walks out as a better actor but a better human being. Every time I walk into Dearing I am flooded with positive energy and love. Matt, Brian, Joey and Shea are excellent teachers and mentors who I look up to in every aspect of my life. I am beyond grateful to be able to learn and grow as a student and intern at Dearing Acting Studio.

    Me and my treasures.

We opted for the all in package where Boojum coordinated with their preferred venders to handle about 90% of the arrangements and for a VERY reasonable price. Everyone brought their A game!! Food was delicious, music was fantastic (even with a last minute DJ swap due to an emergency), and the grounds were stunning! They did everything right. Multiple beautiful backdrops available for the big day. We chose the grand fountain but soooo many other great options. Even the little things. Everyone warned us how hard it is to eat on your wedding day but as soon as we left the ceremony area to the backstage, there was a waiter for my wife and I along with the bridal party with appetizers and drink orders. Jennifer the day of works as your wedding coordinator and she does a fantastic job! Everything was so well run and on time as well. Everyone told me this was the best venue and the best experience they ever had at a wedding and I know it wasn't just them being nice! If you're the type of person who wants to be able to say you got married at Wrigley, fine. But if your focus is the best possible experience for your guests and yourselves, Boojum is by far the way to go!! These guys throw an EPIC wedding and party!!!

If you haven't been there, then you definitely need to pay it a visit. However, for a wedding venue, it was a bit odd. Maybe this was the fault of the coordinator? First the good things! The customer service really was great! The staff managing the bar area were super friendly and great to talk to at every visit! The food served was delicious, no complaints at all! The decor and aesthetics were wonderful for the venue and the Arizona area. The area in the main part of the venue, were the ceremony took place was lovely and shaded. There was a fountain and surrounded by lovely trees and structures. As with all venues, hosting a wedding with a cash or cash-less bar, this venue fell into the same issue. The alcohol not in bottles or cans just had to be watered down. There is no possible way our friends and myself had as many vodka mixed drinks, we are talking about over 10 or 11 at least for myself, and never even got a buzz. This seemed to be the consensus. The other issue was just the layout. The covered area / enclosed structure where the dinner took place was large and spacious. It was decorated with plants and man made areas that were lovely and it kept everyone together, socializing, and simply having fun. When that was done we were moved to an area behind the bar/sitting structure for live DJ and dance floor. This was simply counter productive to encouraging that togetherness and partying. instead it had various separate and distinct fire pits with covered areas and seating around each one. This pretty much cause the wedding party to all separate into their own clicks and neither one really interacting unless you were directly related/known to them some how. The dance floor was a raised gazebo area, which was lovely. However, from where some of the fire pits were, you had no view of who was dancing or if anyone was dancing. The DJ played a great playlist but she could have been definitely more interactive.

Andy threw (literally) their receipt and credit card at them. It's just unacceptable, especially first thing in the morning prior to tee off. Service: Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Everyone loved my dog. Room: It's decent, nice but wasn't as luxurious as other properties in the same level. It is a bit weird to have the shower in the middle of the room and an open concept bathroom separated by a curtain. The bed is comfy and place was quiet. Even so the Edit said upgrade possible if available, we did not get an upgrade :(. Boo. Food: Hearth 61 had pretty good food and the Edit gives $90 a day for 2 for breakfast. That is a very generous amount. They serve the food until 2pm (more like brunch) so you can technically can get two meals out of the credit. Credit doesn't all have to be one transaction. Dog amenities: They give you a dog package with a bed, bowl, poo bags, pee pad, and treats. There isn't a designated relief area but there are multiple areas around you can take your dog. There is no grass or turf and it's all rocks. The bad: The room has no fridge and if you want a fridge you have to pay $25 (freezer is $40). We needed one so we decided to use part of our Edit $100 credit to get one. Kinda annoying for a resort room to not have a fridge and if not, why isn't the fridge fee included in the resort fee? Late checkout is at 2pm. When you check out, make sure you ask for an itemized bill. For some reason, the computer took the charges from the $100 credit first and did not apply it to the breakfast credit so we ended up owing $100. However a quick mention to the front desk and they were able to take care of that for us. ALSO, not a hotel thing but I must mention, Paradise Valley has speeding and red lights cameras on Lincoln. They are enforced for BOTH and the speed limit is 40mph. Do not go over or you will get flashed -_-
