Accommodate Debbie! Not your pet! I don't like to leave negative reviews especially for small businesses but I felt this was important to let other dog owners know. I brought my small Yorkie here for the majority of my dogs life (he's now 12 yrs old). Unfortunately, last year my dog was diagnosed with brain cancer, and as a result he tends to be sensitive around the face / head area and the vet said to not have the loop around his neck for grooming due to the sensitivities. I let Debbie know and she began giving us a super hard time for grooming. Super rigid, like he could only come in at 7 am w no other dogs around, I had to bathe him myself, she'd only do a shave with no styled haircut or anything, then booked me like 4-5 weeks out every time, and charged me extra for what she called "express grooming". Made it nearly impossible to get in and very stressful. Not to mention when I'd go in there, she'd make backhanded comments about what I should and shouldn't be doing for him, like dog mom shaming me almost, completely unwarranted. I really held back on letting her have it a few times because I just wanted my dog to get groomed at the same place he has always been familiar with and not change his routine with a new groomer being older now and with his condition. This went on a few months since his diagnosis. Well last week I called in to get him groomed, no answer, left a voicemail. No response. Called and left messages a few times over the next week, No response. They're not avoiding me right??? Well they can't be closed down. This is weird. I finally got a text message from Debbie saying they can't service my dog at this time in his life. I was like are you kidding me?? We have given you all of this business, all of these years while he's perfectly healthy, now that he needs an accommodation and finding him a new groomer will be stressful for both of us, you're bailing on us?? She then went on to tell me he should be groomed at the vet hospital- typical Debbie- unwarranted comments on what owners should and shouldn't be doing with their animals. As if I'm not obsessed with my dog as it is and take better care of him than I do of myself. Luckily, I found him an excellent groomer very quickly who accommodated him no problem, and my dog came out super cute and in great spirits. God knew my dog deserved better and thankfully it all worked out. As for Debbie, she took my money for 12 yrs and bailed as soon as my dog needed an accommodation. Unethical, rude and far too rigid to be a business owner. If you won't accommodate an animal with a special need, you will never have my business when my animals are healthy either. My dogs like it also once they get over their separation anxiety from me.. they are always so clean and my husky doesn't shed as bad for like the first week and that's huge!! Finding a good groomer can be a pain in the ass. Went to Debbie's by recommendation today. So glad I did. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced with all breeds of dog. I have a Goldendoodle that I let get matted (I know, I know) and they fixed him up beautifully and didn't make me feel like a schmuck even though it would have been deserved. Price was fair and well worth it for the professional cut and peace of mind that he was in the hands of people who are very experienced and know what the hell they're doing. I have been coming here for years and every single time they cut my dogs rectum so bad that she won't go on walks because she's constantly sitting down and licking it because it's covered in blood. This last time her ears were FILLED with water and she consequently got double ear infections, groomers are nasty ladies who act like they're all high and mighty because they're bad at their job, make it make sense. They're arrogant and don't even know what a standard poodle cut is. DO NOT GO HERE. Even the generic pet smart and petco are better. Go to janelles at it's pawfect even. I've heard a lot of good things about Debbie's Pet Grooming for years, but we've always bathed our dogs ourselves, so we've never used a groomer. When my mini-mastiff mix woke up with severe dandruff, and I woke with a severe backache, it was time to try Debbie's. I'm so glad I did! Autumn did a wonderful job! Not only did Autumn trim his nails, and get rid of his dandruff, but she let me know that he has a hot spot on his belly, and one of his ears was very red, possibly indicative of an ear infection. I have been taking my dog to Debbie's since Calum was a little puppy- a year and a half ago. He wouldn't let me take him anywhere else- even if I wanted to. He loves to go there- he scratches on the door to get in. He loves to hang out with his buddies. Everyone at Debbie's treats Cal with love. They do a wonderful job with his grooming. I love Debbie's. If I am 5 minutes early, I am yelled at. If I am 5 minutes late, I am yelled at. My 73 year old mother took her dog there, and Debbie also yelled at her. I can only imagine what she is doing to my dog during grooming. Terrible. She insists my dog be sedated for grooming. He is 8, and no other groomer ever requested this. So sadly this is what it's come to.. sharing the attitude I've received for quite some time with this groomer. It started with telling me how inappropriate I was to groom my golden retrievers too short. Then I received a comment that "I know how you are" as to our rescue apparently. The very last appointment was scheduled as a non express and when charged otherwise I was told well that's how we handled it. Most recently I used their online scheduling to schedule all three dogs for Friday morning appointments. Said pending and they would advise. Received message stating booked Friday is Saturday ok? I said sure Saturday ok and received no response so called Friday to confirm. Employee confirmed ok for Saturday, received text for following Saturday. Called back to figure out. Received complete confrontation and they would fit my dogs in I did nothing but go through their process I confirmed there would be no carried confrontation through handling my boys She said of course not I then received message stating they needed to cancel due to my concern for my dogs Well sadly that proves it all She was carrying resentment for sure Don't belong in pet industry with at attitude read more

took Toto there, a small 11 pound yorkie terrier . everyone knows how a yorkie should be cut. he came back skinned , way way too short , we asked for a "trim". he also came home with his paws bleeding on a towel we put him on in the car on the ride home , they must have clipped his nails too short and he was bleeeding ,. This location is highly unhygienic and out of control. Recently took my dog there and my initial instinct was to take her out and go elsewhere, always follow your instinct. They had like 5-6 dogs inside the small grooming area, hair from all dogs on the floor inches pilled high, thought it would be cleaned up, but when I came back when dog was ready, it was much worse, about 10 dogs and hair was even pilled higher. All dogs running loose in this small grooming area, maybe 10x10. If a dog has fleas, virus and/or other, it would spread. Will never go back. All the dogs should be separated and secured. read more

I actually feel bad writing this. I brought my rescue dog in once. The smell in this groomer is so horrible that I wanted to gag the entire time I was there. I left him and felt terrible, when I came back to pick him up I actually had to spray perfume on my collar right before I got out of the car. I was very disappointed to see no masks, no way for customers to wait to bring in dogs one at a time, and no social distancing. It's a very tiny area and I realize it would be hard to accomplish a perfectly safe environment, but it looks like no attempt was made. The grooming staff is very nice.
