There is almost always only 2-3 other people in the store, so the deserted-ness doesn't help either. Selection can be rough as they don't stock a lot of core items. Went today and couldn't find ground beef. Yes, ground beef. They also opened a half hour late. Some like this and I'll pop in out of sheer convenience, otherwise I'd rather drive down to Stop N Shop.

The food is fresh and delicious. The deli has amazing sandwiches. There is ample parking next to the front door and also behind the building. I was completely unfamiliar with the area, and was just crossing my fingers that Stop & Shop had what I needed. Oh, and I was in a hurry, too. Like, I'm already late kind of hurry. Thank goodness for the checker working the self checkout area. I had to come into the store twice and was in such a hurry that both times I just went straight to him to see if he could direct me to where I could find what I was looking for (1st time: ice. 2nd time: disposable gloves). He helped me both times and got me in and out in a blink. The store itself has cramped aisles but tons of stock, so a bit of a give and take there. The parking lot is a little tricky to get into but once I figured it out, I was able to find parking easily. Stop & Shop was there with what I needed when I needed it and for that, so appreciative! I didn't have to go grocery shopping and I definitely wasn't prepared for what was about to come (as they're officially my new favorite supermarket). A supermarket that doesn't carry plastic water bottles and proudly has a sign that they haven't been selling plastic still bottle since 2011 in efforts to be able to reduce plastic, is just something we need to see more of. Plus, everything's organic! The cool part is you can bring your huge jugs of water and refill them in the entrance with alkaline water. There were also a ton of produce boxes available for you to shop in and save bags. I totally missed this and came super unprepared without even my own bags. Loved the weighed grain section where you can pay less for certain ones by buying them in bulk. You can even bring your own refillable containers for dish soap, body soap, dishwasher soap, Castile soap, laundry detergent, face wash, body lotion and more. If you don't have your own containers you can buy their glass ones and refill those. They even have a recycle center as soon as you walk in. You can donate eye glasses, batteries, shoes, natural cork and even compost! Their purpose is simple: to protect and restore the environment. This is my language. I LOVE this supermarket, only thing I wish it wasn't 1 hour away.
