The Ardsley store is a pleasure. 1. Short, quick lines with lots of checkout people. A floater or two stands ready to assist in bagging to speed things up. And the manager even lends a hand when things get busy. So great! 2. The best brands of stuff, packed into a small yet charming space. Feels like a cozy European market, not an exurban American sprawls-ville Walmart. 3. Dazzling beer selection, with even new local microbrews showing up as soon as they come out. And growlers. They have really carved out a niche for beer. The soda selection is great too. Feels like a Brooklyn market. My only request: make the cheese section as good as the beer! Too many pre-cut and wrapped cheeses that seem like they have seen better days. Have someone cutting to order. read more

While this store is a little pricey, it is well worth it! I have been going for years. I buy on sale and special things that I would not be able to get elsewhere. I am writing this review during the COVID 19 crisis and this store has been a ROCK STAR! They were one of the first in the area to clean and wipedown carts, form a line that made customers stand 6 feet apart and open early for seniors! I love them even more if that is possible! The staff is awesome, you can tell they are a team and the main manager who I will have to get is name should get a raise! He is awesome! I love this grocery store. It reminds me of my neighborhood market from when I lived in Brooklyn. It's a bit cramped and often bustling, but they carry fantastic products. Their cheese and beer section is the best I've found of any store in the area. Growlers on tap too. Prices are on the higher end, but they regularly have products on sale. read more

It is worth braving Ardsley's permanently traffic-jammed streets to get here. The store isn't uncomfortably huge, they make sandwiches and have sushi on site, and the beer selection is unmatched in the area. They carry many specialty items that I typically buy at healthfood stores. The downside is that overall it tends to be pricey. read more

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECIEPT if you care. Been shopping there for years. A bit of a racket going on there given todays technology to avoid pricing errors. Shelf prices don't match sales flyers and purchase receipts. HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. Very annoying. Mangmnt never seems to fix it. I call them out every time too. many store items not priced either. When they have a sale its the best. Meat dept. rocks with sale meats and quality. Butchers are great. Fish dept. also good but be careful as always with fish. I stay away from prepared food. I think it is another racket to get rid of food about to go funky, so cook it and sell it. Never had any thing good out of there. Employees are the face of the company and if they are not doing a good job , I truly believe it starts with the company itself. Pleasantly surprised with this place. Variety and quality of the food offered is phenomenal. Also, greatest selection of beer you will find anywhere. Staff are friendly as well. Only drawback is that the aisles are super narrow and the parking lot is small so when it's busy it feels quite cramped. read more

This supermarket located in the middle of the town of Ardsley is comparatively superb, and if somehow enlarged, could rival other businesses in the NYC metropolitan area like Stew Leonard's and Whole Food's. This business may not have the friendliness of Stew's or the natural goods of Whole Food's, but they certainly are the most organized and least expensive (based on food available) of the three. DeCicco's has a skill of sublimely displaying their foods & beverages as some sort of plethora, thus appealing to any food shopper. Meanwhile, their on-store specialty stations, like the bakery, are always manned during the store's operation and are seemingly stocked with fresh foods - unlike some other supermarkets. Finding what you want is not a chore in this store because the organized stocks of products will allow you to swiftly retrieve whatever you may be looking for. In addition, they have a superfluous food bar that has hot food any-day, ready for purchase. The parking lot is horrendous and of course, there is an absence of parking space due to the swelling number of attracted consumer - you'll end up beating somebody over the head with the once remarkably displayed beer bottle you bought from DeCicco's after you end up in a car crash because the spaces are waaay too tight. Did I also mention they have a rather gigantic selection of alcohol in the corner of the store? So, If you're a manic drinker (Not I), skip the liquor store and come here for a surprising amount of well-presented booze. read more

People have written this store is pretentious. Hey, I'm a regular shopper and I'm not pretentious. So, you inferior people should stop reviewing. I've found the staff is very customer service oriented from the Manager to the guys who pick up the shopping carts in the parking lot. The meats, chicken, seafood, deli and bakery are of outstanding quality. Forget about the beer selections. If you can't find a beer you like here, give up alcohol. I buy all paper and regular kitchen staples at CostCo and food at DiCicco's. It is a little higher priced, but for the fresh food products it's worth it. You can catch a sale and the prices can even be lower than other supermarkets. read more

last time I was in DeCicco & Sons, I bought a specialty beer, when I got home , I found out it was out- dated, I also bought a stuffed artichoke, It was all bread crumbs and olive oil, did not taste fresh. The reason is because it's not fresh, you see any Produce, meat, fish that's about to expire, they, DeCiccos gives it all to the chefs, and they cook it for your lunch, Yea, you would never know, cause they have good cooks, that can turn shit into sugar, There mark up is always 50% or better no matter what it cost them, and some of their DeCicco brands are from other companies, they just put the DeCicco labels on them. In conclusion, why would you purchase old food, at high prices, while there giving you a smile, their picking your pocket ! read more

This place is absolutely fantastic- they have a wonderful staff, a great selection, and the prices aren't bad at all. I love having a latte from their bakery while I shop. The beer selection is also phenomenal- DeCiccos has the perfect mix of high-end imports, generic pantry staples AND specialty foods (such as a gluten-free section and unique frozen foods). I'm a big fan of DeCicco. We moved to Hastings from Pelham and I was so sad to leave the Pelham DeCicco. It wasn't until we had already moved in that I found out there was another one in Ardlsey. No lines, helpful staff, great bakery. The Ardsley store is a little cramped and it can be claustrophobic when it's really busy, so I do avoid it right before holidays, big storms etc.. Unlike a lot of businesses these days, they seem like they appreciate your business. I also like that they don't have candy at the checkout. My kids are older now, but that was a hassle I was happy not to have to deal with when they were little. I have memories of shopping with my grandma at the original DeCicco on Katonah Avenue in the Bronx 40 years ago. It's great that they're still carrying on. read more

Beer. Beer. Beer. Amazing selection of craft beer. This is pretty much the only thing I buy here and this place is the closest market to me. Not a mega supermarket like Stop & Shop, Pathmark, or Shop Rite. Small but also limited varieties and pricing can be high at times. Craft beer offerings range from local favs to national and international offerings. They have a few taps but I can't ever tell if they are working and the taps are unmanned so I would have hunt down a person to work it for me. There are a couple of guys, one especially, that is super knowledgable about craft beer, which is helpful if you're looking for something new to try. read more

Probably the highest quality supermarket in the Ardsley/Dobbs/Hastings area. You can only get higher quality by going to a speciality store.

Though it's smaller than the Pelham location, Ardsley is entirely preferable. I've read some reviews that say the "shoppers and staff are pretentious", and "prices are outrageous". I disagree for Ardsley. They haven't experienced Pelham, where the managers and shoppers are a special kind of shockingly pretentious, it doesn't even fit into a category. I shopped there for 8 years. True, some prices are so outrageous,laughter bursts forth; but it's the supermarket I prefer (except Trader Joe's, but who can't?) over Shoprite, and similar - and surprisingly, Decicco's many times, is the same or less for regular items. And, if you stay on top of their weekly circulars even better bargains. Because it caters to Italian cultures, those looking for specialty items can get it, and less than at a battaglia, and regular Italian items are always less (Barilla pasta, Pomi tomatoes, Lavazza) than at a Stop & Shop. Lastly, if you're a beer lover - this is definitely a new niche of Decicco's Ardsley. read more

I really like this grocery store because of the friendly, helpful, and quick staff but they do lose some points because I cannot tell you how many times I've walked out before checking my receipt only to find that I was over charged for something they clearly had listed on sale. I don't feel it's upon me to have to monitor the register like a hawk when the store itself should do right by their loyal customers and get the pricing correct all the time. At least two times I've caught the mistake and had to get a price adjustment and it's a real hassle because this is a tiny store which is usually always crowded. It's not a comfortable situation. Also, the parking lot is a disaster during busy times which in my options is pretty much all the time. People do not know how to operate their vehicles in this lot and leads to massive back ups because people want the closest parking space they can find instead of just moving to the back to park. read more

Great place to get food either for a meal or to take food home! Very, VERY wide selection of everything from frozen goods, to pre-made dishes, to baked items. A tad on the expensive side but still a great place to go if you need something from a supermarket. read more
