Very strange supermarket in what should be a lucrative spot. Harvest Field has a huge basement full of drinks, fruit and veggies with refrigerated items and non-perishables upstairs. I've never had an issue with service unlike some other reviews, however the place always looks a bit dirty. That's harsh but it's also true. Some of it is lighting and lack of updates. There is almost always only 2-3 other people in the store, so the deserted-ness doesn't help either. Selection can be rough as they don't stock a lot of core items. Went today and couldn't find ground beef. Yes, ground beef. They also opened a half hour late. Some like this and I'll pop in out of sheer convenience, otherwise I'd rather drive down to Stop N Shop. read more

I just had a great shopping experience here. The store had a large selection of fresh produce, all reasonably priced. I really appreciated the selection of Ritter Sport chocolate they had by the register. The store manager was also very friendly and helped us find what we were looking for. I would be happy to return to this store again if I was in the area. read more

I have gone to this store 3 times. The first I had difficulty finding what I needed and asked for help. The women was able to help me but seemed very upset. (We all have Bad days) The second time I went in for the same item and the shelves weren't stocked appropriately so they had to go into the back. (I had asked for help also ask the gentlemen was very upset that he had to go into the back and restock the shelves). Again, we all have had days The last time I went into the store again I asked for help the women had a terrible attitude and when I got to check out- long and behold again a nasty attitude which isn't appropriate in the work place. Never again! Very nasty and unhappy employees...I would go back if they hired people who actually don't mind working instead of acting as if they are doing me a favor. read more

This is a new supermarket in town and I love it. Finally, I can find some reasonable priced, great good deals, fresh fruit, veggies, meat, cold bar, hot bar and a countless variety of products. The only bad thing about this grocery is that is the very small place, with narrow aisles only wide enough for one cart at a time, so on a crowded day the shop can be difficult to maneuver, and they only have 3 cashiers so don't want to be here in a busy day. read more

I almost deducted a star because now I'm mad I don't have a store like this near my house! But seriously. This neighborhood market is awesome. Mountains of fruits and vegetables downstairs. So many ... they have everything you could want and some I've never even heard of. Great prices, even on pre cut ones. Good supermarket selection too, cheeses different kinds of snacks (international galore), yogurts, you name it. Small frozen section. The salad and hot bars offer a nice variety too. For some reason the cashier didn't want to double bag my pre-cut fruit, not sure what was up with that, but we finally got it done. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! They recently added a 3.5% surcharge for people using credit cards. That is more than the credit card companies charge them per transaction so they are taking advantage and pocketing the extra cash! I used to go all the time but nope not anymore. CROOKS!! Had a horrible experience from this place. I went there and found clorox spray and was about to buy 3 as I was checking out the manger tells me I can only buy 1. I ask him very nicely if I can at least buy 2 since Im constantly spraying down my car bc Im a nurse at WPH and I work directly with covid patients. Instead the manager shames me and tells me that Im taking away from people and that everyone should have it. I understand his point but there's no need to shame ppl. I always liked this place, especially for items that I needed in a pinch and didn't feel like traveling to the bigger grocery stores for. In the last few months ownership seems to have changed hands and the place has really improved. They carry anything you may need to whip up an amazing dinner complete with a frozen food section to even add dessert. I love their imported items that come from Italy such as their Pan di Stelle cookies or their lady fingers paired with their mascarpone to make a tiramisù. They have ghee, tahini, haloumi, grape leaves, mole sauce and other items that would normally be difficult to find at the local supermarket. They no longer have their prepared food or deli section if you happen to stumble upon old pics. However they have an extensive produce section downstairs and a refrigerated aisle of meats and prepackaged cheeses and salumi. If you are in the area it's definitely worth a stop. You never know what you'll find. read more

In Tarrytown for a family event with the need for additional items to compliment catered breakfast dishes, I, by chance, found the HARVEST FIELD MARKET located in a small strip mall. The market had a full assortment of fruit, both prepared and in bulk. I observed that the market was fully stocked with a variety of food items normally found in the major food chains. The prices were quite reasonable. The market was extremely clean. The owner was more than willing to assist me in selecting the prepared fruit platters and other munchie items. Pretty cool store. We found it online and finally made it. We went downstairs and grabbed some fruit then went back upstairs and picked out a couple more items. Gone are the days of kiwis 8/$1 and a $3.99/lb salad bar. While I still enjoy shopping there, their prices have gone up. Occasionally, you can still find a deal but that is few and far between. Maybe this summer will see another drop in prices but it's comparable to the big chain stores now. read more

Nice little hidden gem for fresh produce. This place is hidden between CVS and Capri on South Broadway. I only looked in just to get some ginger and I found a nice little market full of fresh fruits and vegetables all for really affordable prices. I normally shop at Trader Joe's because I feel they have the best prices but this place was even lower and I actually liked the quality a lot better. Definitely stop in for your fruits and vegetables. read more

Wow. This place is amazing. Extremely cheap produce, huge variety, everyone there is super friendly. I am grateful to have a place like this since it is cheaper than the other two grocers and actually has more of the stuff I like. I eat a great deal more fruit now, its stupid cheap here. Their deli doesn't take phone orders (at least I don't think they do), but they have huge wraps and it comes with what ever kind of salad you want for pretty cheap. I am pretty sure the cold water bottles are like 25 cents, clearly the owners have no interest in price gouging. read more

This is only a review of the produce section as I did not check the grocery area. I was thrilled (with a caveat) with the fruits and vegetables, excellent prices on many items. I did sense an unpleasant smell as I was walking downstairs, as some of the stuff is overripe (or worse). I got a great deal on the stuff I bought -- Ranier cherries for $2.29 a pound, oyster mushrooms for $3.99 a pound, apricots for 99c a pound, and all of them tasted fine. However, the shitake mushrooms they had (same price) were dried out, the first apricot i picked up was rotten and the corn (which was cheap at 25c an ear) was dried out. However, if you are careful about what you choose, this is a great place, and the selection is huge. I'll definitely stop by again when I am in the area. read more
