I've tried this place about six years ago and must say it's still a great Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and the waiter was attentive. We ordered the rigatoni siciliano which had eggplant on top. Also the capellini crab meat and shrimp. Very good dishes but didn't get that 'WOW this is delious' feeling like some other Italian restaurants. Tried Decosta's for the first time thru UberEats and I must say I was extremely, pleasantly surprised.. the food was still hot the package for my calamari was so, that they didn't get soggy. We just moved from Eastchester to Yonkers. Only about a 15 min drive, but we decided we needed to stop going back to Eastchester for their abundance of Italian food and try something in our area. We went on a Friday at 7:45. They gave us bread, water and chick pea spread as soon as we sat down. The dinner crowd was thinning but people were still being seated. The service was excellent, they gave us water, bread and chick peas right away. We had wine, salads, two of the special entrees, dessert and coffee for around $100. My husband is an Italian tired & true so we do not go out for Italian too often as we eat it at home all the time, but this place is worth a try even for you true-bred Italians. Nice waitstaff, easy to get to. One warning, avoid Wednesday pasta night.The price is cheap, and the choices reflect it. After a hectic day in the city and decided to seek out a new find on the way back to Fairfield County where it would be quieter. Wow, did we find an incredible place!! The Italian Mojitos were so good and refreshing! Service was impeccable and the food was to die for! I had the chicken francese and they kindly added capers. It was so perfectly seasoned and so moist! My BF had the chicken parm and the serving was so large with the same tender, moist chicken that he kept swearing at himself the rest of the evening for eating it all in one seating! (He couldn't even leave some for take home it was so good!) For a wonderful atmosphere, beautiful and very clean establishment with delicious food, this is one place you need to visit. It's also very reasonably priced! Two drinks, one large appetizer and two entrees and the total was only $63.00! I realized something was missing in my neck of the woods - a good Italian restaurant, not a chain. Some fresh, homemade pastas, simple dishes, for those days when you're just craving fettucine alfredo or maybe that's just me. I missed this being so close to Arthur Ave previously and I was happy to find a place that sort of fills that void for me. To start with the service is great. Super friendly and whatever you want you got it along with honest recommendations on the food. I've had the pleasure of having penne a la vodka (awesome sauce literally), the alfredo sauce (on gluten free pasta as well as tortellini) and the marinara (also on regular and gluten free pasta) as well as the chicken caprese which was hilarious. If you want to pretend you're being healthy and think you're eating a salad this is the dish for you. It's got an awesome vinaigrette on it and tons of little bites of fresh mozzarella and tomatoes with some greens on the bottom. It was just so fresh tasting. Add to that the potato croquette which is stuffed with mozzarella - beautiful and one of the best I've had in a long time. The alfredo sauce is amazing. Not heavy or greasy and it doesn't separate. This is important because I don't like picking up a plate of something with alfredo sauce and driving home and ten minutes later it's clumpy cream and oil. This stayed together beautifully and didn't taste heavy. Best of all there's gluten free pasta for the little one which is so great. It's not throw away pasta either, it's cooked properly and not mushy just awesome. Wednesday night is pasta night so look out for specials like the seafood stuffed ravioli (the hubby loved it and he's picky about seafood and hates pasta). This definitely filled the void for a need for a strictly Italian restaurant not far from me. So much better than trying to get traditional dishes from a local pizzeria haha. read more

My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant last night for the first time and it was exquisite! The wait staff was pleasant, prompt and professional. We did not have to ask for anything after we ordered our appetizers and meals. We had the Fried Calamari and a trio of Meatballs in marinara sauce for starters (I can't remember exactly what it's called on the menu lol sorry). Then we both had the Tortellini Della Panna as our entrees. The food was just amazing. Everything came to our table still hot. No heat lamps used here! The Calamari was cooked to perfection and the sauce complimented the meatballs just right. We both loved the tortellini. Personally, I believe the prosciutto was a nice touch. Oh! The service and food was excellent. Plenty of parking and tables. The fried calamari was super, tender and flavorful. My husband has the ziti alla Del Gaudio which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had th a halibut special which was moist and delicious. The side of fresh carrots with zucchini was tasty and cooked to perfection. We found the portions sufficient. We shared the white chocolate bread pudding which was so delicious, our disappointment was that we couldn't finish it, too full! LOL. The cappuccino was served hot and was the best I've had anywhere in quite some time. Our server was Nuno, who appears to be an owner, you'd never know as he is humble. The support staff were on top of everything. Great restaurant, fairly priced, we will go back if we are in the area again. This is our go to place. It's a nice cozy resturant in Yonkers on the corner of a main street. We have tried just about all the dishes on the menu and they have never disappointed us. The owners are great guys who would go out of their way to accomodate you. The service is great. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfy - just the right vibe for a nice meal. This is a favorite spot of my daughter and myself. A cozy friendly atmosphere , the wait staff always pleasant and attentive . The owners are friendly and approachable. When you come in your greeted with a smile, your table has assorted bread basket with olive oil to dip the bread into. The Veal all a nonna is my personal favorite. This is my second visit to DeCosta's and I must say it gets better every time. The food and service are superb. The crab lump dip is a must try as well as there signature white chocolate bread pudding and while your at it try the white sangria you wont regret it. They always have fabulous specials which they print off so you don't have to listen to a waiter rant for three minutes what specials they have and forget two minutes later. We found the place on yelp and the reviews are so mixed it was hard to tell if we should even try it but its close to where we live and we are seaching for an italian restaurant to call home! We had dinner there last night and it was forgettable. We all had pasta dishes and the sauce on each taasted exactly alike and very bland. Not a hint of fresh basil or tomato or garlic.
