I have been a patient of Dr. B's for ten years. He has treated me for cavities, root canals and crowns. He is an excellent dentist and a most compassionate and caring person. When I had an accident and required seven crowns on my front teeth, he cleared the books and prepared the temporaries for me. I love his sense of humor and his continuous happy mood. I loved this place , very nice , clean and good workers . I loved Dr Bedoya , he was super nice and seemed to really care ! Their equipment was up to date and everyone was lovely . Don't get me wrong, the hygienist here are awesome. I had two different and wonderful ones keep my teeth clean here for a couple years. The one star rating is because of Dr. Bedoya. I had a tooth that chipped. Dr. Bedoya filled it. The filling held about 6 months. So I go back and pay again to have it redone. The second filling held about 8 months before it got loose. I go back and have it redone again. The THIRD time, when Dr. Bedoya does the filling AGAIN, he brags about how he used a smaller filling and it fit perfectly. It didn't. There was a space between the two teeth that was big enough to trap food in. Now, almost 2 years later, all my teeth on my left upper quadrant have shifted. I have gaps all over. And, as a bonus, the filling is weak again. I should have learned my lesson after the second time the filling wasn't holding. Don't go here. Save yourself time and aggravation. Go somewhere else. Where to begin? The wait time was so long that people checked in and then left to do other errands and came back later for their appointment. In 29 years, I have never been told my teeth are anything other than perfect, but at this place, the hygienist insisted I needed a deep cleaning and would not clean my teeth unless I agreed to the $80 fee for it which isn't covered by my insurance! They are money-hungry, unfriendly, and a business instead of a health provider. I ended up leaving without a cleaning because I refused to pay the $80 for the cleaning procedure that I have never heard of. I am very disappointed by this office. I recommend avoiding it read more

I love Dr. Bedoya :-) I know he probably loves me because of the amount of dental work I've had done within the last 4 years... ;-) but he is a giant, gentle, genuine person who encourages you while he's sticking the gargantuan anesthetic needle through the roof of your mouth. He sets up a pain signal so he can stop what he's doing if you need a break... which was the first time any dentist had ever done that with me. His staff area all extremely polite, respectful and nice, and all really seem to love and respect him, which they show by doing the best job they can. I've had a couple of root canals, a couple of caps, and even a post & crown... and a cavity or two within the last couple of years. He worked with me on a payment plan for the procedure that wasn't covered by my insurance; all I had to do was ask. read more

Good cleanings particularly Amy, however the wait times are unreasonable, often times going thirty minutes to an hour past your appointment time. I have a limited time in which I choose to sit in a cool waiting room listening to soft rock and the hum of the fish tank. Your first indication that you might be waiting is the coffee machine and refrigerator with drinks. Which you would think the last thing a dentist would want is to work on someone with coffee breath but I guess it is compensation for the long wait. I would gladly give up the coffee, fish tank, and the pleasant receptionists for a lot less waiting. Hell get nurse Kratchet in there for all I care just get me seen. My teeth are not pleased at waiting. FWIW I wrote this while waiting for a filling in the waiting room and now the dentists chair. Still waiting just with a fancy paper drool bib on. The dental hygienists are excellent, thorough and kind. Office is attractive and restful. Was a patient for over 20 years but quit going to Dr. Bedoya a couple years ago because of long waits and the interminable time spent in the dental chair while Dr. Bedoya took care of other patients or other business. Then he was impatient. He must be overbooked. Just couldn't face going back. Now I am looking for another dentist. (By the way, your commercial of the "horse" is awful!) read more

i'm writing b/c i just saw the negative reviews from 3-4 years ago. i have gone to dedicated dental for about 10 years. i found Dr. Bedoya to be very capable, professional, smart, funny, and kind. he has done various procedures on me over these years, including not just regular decay checkups but also extensive veneers (which transformed my whole view of myself and my smile) and crowns. the staff have always been kind and reliable. scheduling is easy and he is rarely running late. i hope this helps balance the yelp reviews more accurately! read more

I took two of my kids to Dedicated Dental on Mission for routine check ups and everything went "ok". They were kind of pushy, not extremely nice but not rude either. My impression was that they were very money driven and cared more about the kind of insurance you have (which i have amazing insurance) than the patient. Fast forward to this morning, my husband called because he had an abscessed tooth and wanted to see about making an appointment. They told him they didn't know if they took his insurance. He informed them that they do since they are our kids dentist and it is the same insurance and he had all of the insurance information. They told him that he needed more information. He called back and they were extremely rude and told him that they don't see his name in the system. He explained again that he is new and they continued to be rude and ask him the same questions over and over again. Finally, they told him "okay...we'll see you Monday!". He told her that it is kind of an emergency and was hoping to be seen today if possible and they hung up on him. I called back to find out the name of the person and they were equally rude and condescending and refused to give me the name. The person i spoke with said her name was Mari when she answered but denied being the person who hung up on him. Another woman got on the phone and told me that none of that ever happened (basically calling me a liar) and that no one hung up on him. Her voice is the one he was speaking with originally but she refused to give me her name. I am not sensitive and don't expect people to be over the top friendly (although it wouldn't be a bad thing) but this treatment and behavior is absolutely unacceptable. If this were my company, which is small as it is and they don't have many clients, i would terminate her employment as she clearly hates her job as has NO customer service or people skills. We found another dentist and will never go back there again and we are a family of 6. I hope this review helps others because no one should be treated like this on their best day...let alone when they are in pain and have already had to call out from work. Would not recommend dedicated dental to anyone. I am new to Tucson and was referred by a friend to go here. I was told wonderful things about the staff and that I would be in good hands so I trusted my friends opinion. During my initial visit I was told I had a cracked tooth that was infected and I needed to have a root canal procedure. The dentist who told me this spent less than 2 minutes with me before diagnosing me with a root canal. I was quoted about $2000 for the root canal procedure alone (w/ out insurance). I was also told by their periodontist that I had minor gum disease and needed a deep cleaning on all 4 quadrants of my mouth which would cost another $1000-$1500 all together. The staff proceeded to tell me that if I didn't get these procedures done my teeth would fall out! I was terrified! I did not want to lose my teeth. After I had told family the news, I was encouraged to get a 2nd opinion & I am so happy I did. When I went to another dentist (did not tell him anything about d.d.'s recommendations) he told me that in his professional opinion, the problem tooth was just a bad cavity and all I needed was a filling. Not at any point did the other dentist say that the tooth was even close to needing a root canal. He also told me that my tooth wasn't even cracked, and he showed me the X-ray that showed how it was in fact not cracked & was just a cavity. I was shocked and disappointed that dedicated dental would recommend a procedure that was totally unnecessary & so outrageously expensive. Long story short, I was a new patient at dedicated dental, and was quoted around $3000 worth of dental work after my first consultation with them. The simple filling at the other dental office cost me $192 in comparison to a $2000 risky and costly root canal procedure. The other dentist also said I did not have any signs of serious gum disease and that all I needed was a regular cleaning which is also less than $200. Clearly, (or at least in my experience) D.D. was more concerned about making money & taking advantage of young college student by scaring them into take their advice. In my honest opinion I do not believe these people have your best interests in mind. Anyone who is considering going here for any dental procedure, BEWARE. read more
