Thai massages includes the masseuse to walk on your back i was a little apprehensive (ok scared) to have a grown man walk on my back. I love the location and the ambiance of the spa. The spa was very clean and the lighting and music was great. Unfortunately my Thai massage didn't match up to my expectations. My massage felt like the women was just making dough with my skin lol. That's the best way I can describe it. I'm use to firm massages so this wasn't the case. Noticed this new establishment as I was walking home in Belmont Shore. Picked up a flyer, then called a few hours later and for an appointment that evening. Dee Dee is very sweet, her place is super clean and is a relaxing environment for a massage. And the Thai Massage I received from "A" was simply amazing. She knows the body well and has received excellent training. Her hands are soft but strong. She rocks. I have had many, many massages over the years and some are nothing more than a back rub. I had a deep tissue massage 3 therapists at Dee Dee spa. Nadia and Tiffany were my favs. They both massage really deep and very thoroughly. I also like that they don't spend too much time walking around the table/patting you with the steam cloths/talking etc. I really feel like I get my money's worth with them. I thought my massage was just "eh." Scheduling an appointment was easy. I called about four hours before and the receptionist penciled me in that night. It's very affordable. I went a few months back and recall spending maybe $50/$60 on a deep tissue massage; it's ten dollars cheaper if you pay cash. I remember leaving a little stiff, uncomfortable. I love this place. I have never had an issue getting a same day appointment. The therapists always greet you and confirm what type of massage/how much pressure you want and if you want them to focus somewhere specific before they get started. I always leave relaxed and with less tension in my back/neck/shoulders. At the end of the session they offer you hot water or tea before you leave. read more

Literally just got back home from a "swedish massage" here...in the beginning, everything went well... receptionist was friendly we got to our calm dimly lit rooms...everything was clean I had left my bra on and Eve asked me to take it off, she puts it in the cabinet where the rest of my belongings were. The massage begins...On the paper we were asked to fill, I specifically asked for a gentle massage on shoulders and firm everywhere else. It was reversed. The massage didn't feel like it did much. I asked on the paper to focus on my right shoulder bc it's been bugging me and she did. Then the left shoulder and that was not good. I'm literally hurting on the left now but at least the right is ok...? So it happens and boom done! Cool whatevs I put on my clothes. My (Michael Kors) prescription glasses are missing. Literally looking for them in the dark and blind AF. My boyfriend's helping me look. Nothing. I let someone know and Eve comes in to help look for them. Nothing. I don't leave the room. Something was fishy. I clearly stated that I KNOW I left my glasses in the cabinet. And asked her if she probably SOMEHOW took them with the towels/linens she used. She went off to look. Magically appeared. She is no longer giving me eye contact. She explained to the receptionist and the receptionist looked pretty bothered at her. Anyway. My bf and I were trying to figure out how that could've accidentally happen and can't find a reasonable scenerio where my glasses end up with her towels... The only time I saw her get in the cabinet was to put my bra in there. Sneaky Eve. This place is wonderful, very relaxing atmosphere conveniently tucked away along 2nd street. I've come here several times and also taken my boyfriend here for his first massage and he was blown away. I usually see Pat, she knows how to give just the right amount of pressure to work through stiff muscles while still keeping you comfortable and relaxed. She tailors the massage to your needs; for me it was my neck and shoulders that needed extra attention and she noticed without me having to tell her. Any time I've been here it's a great experience, and they often have deals and offers you can add on, such as reflexology or hot stones. I recommend the hot stones for that extra release of muscle tension. They also give you the option of having the therapist walk on your back, which I also recommend. Pat noticed the way I was lying with my feet pointed outward was throwing my knees and hips out of alignment, so she made sure to let me know. I've seen other massage therapists here as well and they've all given me a wonderful, rejuvenating experience. I'll definitely be back soon read more

Took my mom to Dee Dee's spa for her very first massage on 4/6/2013. Again,Tiny was great and has great customer service skills. Even more awesome was that Tiny offered me the same deal they were running on groupon, on site, so I went for it and bought the 3 massage package for $155. When booking the massage for my mom, I specifically asked for Sunny and she does not disappoint. Sunny was real nice and assured me that she would treat my mom good and she did, as my mom loved her massage. I appreciate that Sunny personally walked my mom to the lobby and after the massage, took the time to give us some exercise suggestions for my mom to improve her flexibility and joint health. This spa is my go-to local place for a relaxing massage. I always request Ted. He knows how to work pressure points and does a Fabulous job in healing therapy. I do the combo Thai and deep tissue massage. A nice add on would be the hot stones, especially if you are feeling achy in certain areas. My wife and I got the sweetheart package last night.As soon as we walked in the steps had relaxing messages immediately set the mood.When we walked into their waiting area we were immediately greeted.The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Mind you this was 8:30 pm which I loved the late appointment.The couple's room had rose peddles on the massage tables dim lights,candles and meditation music.It was not only relaxing but very intimated.My wife masseuse was Lina and she handled my wife with so much care as she suffers from fibromyalgia.My masseuse name was Tracey and she did an amazing job.I have recently developed a pinch nerve on my lower back and she massage and stretched my body like no one's business.When I woke up this morning.I was able to get out of bed without struggling.Thank you so much Tracey and we will defenetly be back again. read more

Hands down, the best hundred bucks I have spent on a massage ever! I'm a tough client. I'm a hairstylist, so I suffer consistent aching knotted back/neck/shoulders/legs/knees/feet. Usually, I just Put 'hairstylist' under that place on the intake form where they ask where is hurts. It's hard for me to find a) a 90+minute session that doesn't break the bank, b) someone who will apply a heavy enough hand without crippling me for days( even if it hurts so good!) c) a spa that doesn't make me feel like I need to be either a kept woman or (on the other end) that I need to carry my own sanitizer in. This place is my goldilocks spa! Perfect! That staff was polite professional and accommodating, and my massage therapist Johnny was I N C R E D I B L E. Although they have a sign that says they'll make it right if not satisfied, the gal just said, oh I will write that down. No offer to do the reflexology. Really bummed.
