This was recommended by the Village Market in Running Springs. We ordered a Machaca plate and Albondeigas soup and can say that both orders were DELICIOUS! You can self seat once you enter the restaurant. They had a lot of seating and not a fancy place, but nice and clean. The staff is friendly and service was great. They have a variety of items on their menu. Really good authentic home cook meals. Take out is available. If you are in this area, I recommend that you stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You will not be disappointed.

I went on a Saturday around 4pm and it wasn't crowded so I didnt have to wait long for my food. I ordered the cheeseburger meal and my daughter had the green chicken enchiladas plate. Both orders were good and the prices were fair. The service was friendly, we ordered at the walk up window and waited for our food in the car the server brought our food out to our car now to me thats great service.

The fries and our Oreo milkshake were fantastic! Unfortunately, the cheeseburger missed the mark for me. The burger was huge and a good value for the price but it just wasn't very flavorful. Plus, it was cooked well done so it wasn't juicy at all.

Simple and efficient family owned place. Don't expect too much but it gets the job done with reasonable prices and a nice selection of beers. Love the home made salsa and authentic mexican flavors

Driving up the summit the fine afternoon 11/27/2025, I saw "BEST BURGERS ON THE MOUNTAIN" sign. I pulled into the driveway and went inside to a cozy restaurant setting. The menu prices are very reasonable. Cost effective dining experience. The service is definitely top notch and lovely. I personally ordered Philly Steak Burger with side of fries. Perfectly seasoned with the works plus the patty is thick and juicy, and the fries are so delicious! I would definitely recommend coming here if you're craving a good burger! Yummy in my tummy!

Half of the California Burrito (made wet)

Super cute little spot. They have options for a walk up ordering service or a sit down option as well. Their menu is a mixture of American and Mexican food. Their salsas were deliciously done. I ordered the California burrito and ordered with the option to make it wet. It was clearly a homemade tortilla and it was stuffed to the brim. Tore into it and forgot to take a photo before I did so. The burrito was the size of my face. It was great. As good as the food is, be prepared to wait a little while for it. Took maybe 20-30 min before food got out, but it was well worth the wait.

BASURA!!!!! Wet! 1/2 rojo 1/2 verde!

Amazing Chile Rellenos!!! Damn, I'm craving one now. The Basura burrito is a life changer, for better or worse. We have NO REGRETS! Just for the sheer size alone and comedic aspect (it had us rollin all night whenever we'd glance over and realize we still had to finish it). This entree made our trip extremely memorable. They don't mess around with the quantity of pork and goodies they jam up in there. You must spiritually prepare for something like this, but you will be enlightened afterwards. GODSPEED! & get it wet, for sure. Half roja half verde. Service was ehhhh but it's not really about anything else but the BASURA!! Naw but really, don't skimp on the freakin salsa when we have a 10-pound burrito to take down. & smiling always helps :)

Are these really the world's best enchiladas? like, better than anything in mexico? the place where enchiladas are from? i'm skeptical

They are authentic Mexican style enchiladas, but even in Mexico there are variations. Everything I've eater there is great. I own a home close by and drop by often.

The pancake was an absolute 10/10 I would gladly come back for a stack of those! The country fried steak was tasty, nice gravy, and the hash browns were solid, overall those two components were pretty standard, but still worth it. I was disappointed in my eggs. The beauty of a poached egg is that glorious runny yolk and mine were completely cooked. Other than that I loved the food and will definitely be back!

We figured a nice deli would be a good spot for lunch. At first, we weren't sure if the business was already closed for the day because all of the tables outside were already put away and the windows looked dark. We walked in and it was almost full. There are many typical options from the deli shop such as sandwiches, salads, soups, half and half combos, etc. There were also specials on the wall such as spaghetti. Steven ordered the BLT with Mac salad (the bacon looked nice and crispy, which is perfect) and I had the half soup and half sandwich. I ordered split pea soup which ended up being full of flavor and delicious. You only get three sandwich options of you do the half and half. (I forgot what the other two were) But I had the cold turkey. I didn't expect much from a cold turkey sandwich but I was impressed. It tasted fresh and delicious. The staff was great. They are all constantly helping each other and the gentleman who was helping serve had me chuckling numerous times with silly jokes or comments. I would definitely come back here if I'm back in the area.

There are enough spaces for about a dozen cars, but if those spaces are full, you may have to choose another option. Inside is fairly small, but they have a large outdoor patio that is popular during the summer and warmer months. Service was very fast and the menu itself is very large. For this visit, I decided to try the Steak Wet Burrito and enjoyed it. It was a large sized portion and overall it was pretty good. It's not quite as great as you get down at sea level, but given the location I would say it's one of the best options in Lake Arrowhead for Mexican food. I would stop in again next time I am visiting and would recommend to any fan of Mexican cuisine.
