Came at the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area and I'm glad I stopped in! Red Cabin is a cute and spacious spot with a homey welcoming environment. I ordered to go and my order was ready within 10 minutes. I can never resist a country fried steak so I opted for that with hash browns and poached eggs, as well as a single pancake as I was told that is a must try. The pancake was an absolute 10/10 I would gladly come back for a stack of those! The country fried steak was tasty, nice gravy, and the hash browns were solid, overall those two components were pretty standard, but still worth it. I was disappointed in my eggs. The beauty of a poached egg is that glorious runny yolk and mine were completely cooked. Other than that I loved the food and will definitely be back!

My son ordered a skillet and it came out with a whole cast iron pan and he's doing keto so they offered him an extra egg instead of toast.

Amazing service, outstanding portion sizes. Loved everything about this place! The ambiance was quaint. We sat in the back booth and the windows were open in the breeze was wonderful. It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful lunch!

Enjoyed this cute restaurant on my trip to Running Springs! I tried the bacon cheeseburger! The burger was fire, it was really juicy with a ton of flavor, I highly recommend! I wouldn't order the fries on the side however, it tasted pretty old and soggy. The customer service was on point and I liked the layout of the place. The total came out to be $17.11 which was higher than I expected!

This place is a local gem! Not only were the fried zucchini on point: the perfect size & perfectly fried... the Mexican food is bomb! I've been here several times before & would typically get burgers... which are good too, but the rice, beans, enchilada & chili relleno sauces, all made from scratch were super flavorful & authentic. I can't believe I hadn't tried their Mexican food before. Highly recommended

We stopped by for a cup of coffee. It has a café/bakery style design. There are seating and tables inside. They have nice pies. Coffee was just OK, nothing spectacular. But it was plenty of coffee for the price we paid. There is parking in front of the store. We did not try the food. Customer service was good. Outside and interior design looked good.

You want gourmet fancy this ain't the place. They're downright home style diner food and if it's what you're craving it's gonna hit the spot. Good strong coffee, tuna melt was great (sorry for the after pic) and French toast deluxe combo was great. Give em a shot when in the running springs area open from 7am to 8pm we got here at 1 am and was still able to order breakfast! Eric was our main server and was on point but all the Servers are courteous and prompt and they all help! Pro tip-: try a chocolate cake slice to go!

Great food and service. Fast and delicious. The milkshakes were 10/10!! Thank you

We ate at Tapia's Red Cabin Restaurant in Running Springs today (only been open for two months). We loved our food choices- they were generous portions, priced reasonably and tasted great. Along with my wet burrito and my husband's breakfast skillet, I ordered one pancake. It was not as fluffy, large and warm as I would have liked it and the syrup was not as sweet as I prefer but the two entrees were perfect! Service was great and restaurant was clean and cute.

Had a late lunch with friends. We ordered breakfast. The children ordered burgers and shakes. Everything came out great. Good to have another breakfast spot in town. Apparently they are closed on Sundays. There is a nice outdoor patio area when the weather is ripe. Thanks for the hospitality. See you next time!

The server had no smile or personality and other than taking our order and giving us our check.. She said nothing to us and we were sitting at the bar.. She wouldn't even look at us and ask how everything was.. This place didn't feel the same from the pervious visits.. I will probably not return here again.. The only reason I gave two stars, is that the place was clean..

Everything from the bathroom to the lobby to the little dining room is really tricked out nicely. This place probably is more of a bar for beer and they happen to do food also. In the indoor dining room they have four televisions with the latest sporting events going. When we were there, two of the TVs were tuned to the pre-All-Star game, one was the NBA Summer league and the final one was to some Spanish station that had some type of soap opera /talk show going on. The wife ordered the declaration burger and I ordered the Californication burger. They both came with french fries. The one thing we both noted was the cold buns. This really immediately made the burger not that appealing. Both burgers were cooked to order. I can talk directly to mine. It was a good burger with an Ortega green chili on it piece of cheese two piece of bacon and shredded lettuce and some diced tomatoes. Unfortunately having a cool doughy bun on a hot burger just didn't do it. The wife complained of the exact same thing. The french fries were hot, but they were nothing to write home about. No seasoning or anything like that. They were not very busy when we walked in three tables going. The service was slow because our server was talking to some friend at the end of the bar who appeared to be an employee on break. They have a great concept and with a little effort and attention to detail the food could be outstanding. With all the competition going on in the village, we were really looking for so much more. We thought we were gonna be getting a Great light designer burger, that really wowed us with taste. But that didn't happen. Might give it a try again. We're making a point to try to hit every single place in the village and the surrounding area.

At first, we weren't sure if the business was already closed for the day because all of the tables outside were already put away and the windows looked dark. We walked in and it was almost full. There are many typical options from the deli shop such as sandwiches, salads, soups, half and half combos, etc. There were also specials on the wall such as spaghetti. Steven ordered the BLT with Mac salad (the bacon looked nice and crispy, which is perfect) and I had the half soup and half sandwich. I ordered split pea soup which ended up being full of flavor and delicious. You only get three sandwich options of you do the half and half.
