What a beautiful restaurant!!! Let me start off by saying they gave us two free shots after paying the bill, I did mention it was my husbands birthday but still!! In this economy and these times it was such a sweet surprise / gesture! We went shortly after opening so it was nice to be able to choose our seat and view, the service was so fast, the food came out in about 10 minutes. Menu items run about 14$-25$ though it can be more or less depending on what you want but the portions are much worth it!! The ground beef was more of a wet texture with less flavor. The chips and salsa were tasty. The guacamole was also very good, it wasn't super raw onion flavor, it was more smooth. When my husband and I lived up here before our son was born, we used to come here often for date nights, so it was really nice to revisit. The vibe is fun and welcoming. The patio seating area is beautiful, you're surrounded by nature with a great view of Lake Gregory. There's always lively Mexican music playing, giving it that festive, salsa-style atmosphere that makes it such a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Prices have gone up quite a bit since COVID, which was a little disappointing, but the food was still delicious. We had the chicken mole enchiladas, and they were scrumptious! The mole sauce had that perfect balance of sweetness and spice, and the chicken was tender. The rice and beans were a classic combo, and even the chips were fresh and tasty. It was also nice to see Miguel again, he's the owner and remembered us after all these years! That personal touch really made our visit special. Miguel and Santiago are incredibly welcoming and provide some of the best customer service you'll find. They treat everyone like family!
