Super cute authentic Mexican restaurant with amazing views! The servers are so friendly, and they have a full bar which is awesome. They're able to accommodate big groups, and I saw both couples and families here, so it's for everyone.

This is an update bc we got the lunch bill & were stunned 2 taco plates & 2 bloody maries was almost $100! Especially bc I asked for the bloody mary to not be spicy and it came extra spicy. I told the waitress and she laughed and shrugged (very young) and did not offer to redo it or take it off the bill. I should have requested it but did not want to ruin our day trip. When the bill came tho we asked if they had made a mistake and she said no, the drinks were $20+ each (no prices on the menu), about as much as the meals. I was stunned.

    Carnitas and chicken taco

Salsa was delicious - just the right about of heat. The chips were warm. We came on Tuesday and had tacos - I had one of each - chicken and carnitas - shells were crispy and filled just right. We only came for a snack but I'd definitely come back for a full meal. The ceviche looks amazing!

We came here and chose to sit outside considering the views are breathtaking. The service was friendly and the portions were HUGE. Our food was packed with flavor. I ordered my first molcajete ever and I normally am not a fan of chorizo but the chorizo in the molcajete was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend coming here for good Mexican food.

The chips are addicting, just ask this guy

We came in on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was busy inside. We had a large party of 9 and the accommodated us easily. They offer complimentary chips and salsa that were amazing. Our friend ruined his appetite by just eating all the chips and salsa.

I'm very happy to report that we have been back twice this trip, and both times were excellent! The few times we had problems the owner was not there. He was there both times and the food was much more to our liking. Chilaquiles is very good and the chili verde is excellent. They've switched up the patio seating and the place looks good with a fresh coat of paint. So happy to update my last review. Thanks for bringing this establishment back to our expectations. Cheers!

Caters to the American palate. Tex-Mex style. Had a couple of combos, which were smothered in the red Tex-Mex sauce. Salsas were mild to medium. Tamal was dry, chile relleño was rubbery, and the enchilada was typical Tex-Mex. The view is peaceful if you're looking toward the lake.

What a beautiful restaurant!!! Let me start off by saying they gave us two free shots after paying the bill, I did mention it was my husbands birthday but still!! In this economy and these times it was such a sweet surprise / gesture! We went shortly after opening so it was nice to be able to choose our seat and view, the service was so fast, the food came out in about 10 minutes. Menu items run about 14$-25$ though it can be more or less depending on what you want but the portions are much worth it!! We ordered the margarita flight which was $25 but again, they were generous with the amount in the margaritas. Overall ! They have amazing views, amazing customer service, and great food portions/ food taste. I highly recommend We will definitely be back

Came up for lunch and swung in. Everyone was super welcoming and attentive. We tried the california burrito and the mojarra plate and that's the freshest fish we've had in a long time. Pro tip sit outside on the patio and watch the breeze roll over the lake.

The view is amazing complimentary chips and salsa to start is always a plus The margarita flight is drenched in chamoy, which i am a fan of and The food was delicious

Seated us so quickly, chips and salsa put on the table immediately, and ambiance is so cute! 10/10 would come back!

So happy we found Toni's kitchen! Drinks, food and especially the staff were all incredible. Perfect spot for after a day on the lake! Great vibes on the patio too. Thank you Toni's Kitchen!

The tiki bar was a nice size and was very well themed. There were plenty of drink and food options. Since we were going to dinner right after, we only had an appetizer, which were the cream cheese rangoons. They were on the small side, but absolutely delicious which could be dangerous. My drink? So good. I went with the fun one, Come on Baby Light my Fire, which included dole whip! I felt like I was drinking a tasty boozy dole whip float, and the drink was quite large. Service was great and our bartender/server was entertaining and friendly. We will definitely be back again if we are in the area, and to perhaps try some more food options.

They really need to have more than one overworked person on the floor for this place is its in the middle of this touristy kind of spot. I ordered the half rack of ribs and since we had almost ten people, we ordered a pretty good sample of the menu. Frankly, I was just kind of unimpressed. For the mountain, it's solid, the bartenders are friendly, the drinks are good, and the food is decent. That said, my main concern is with the atmosphere. It's... fine. And that's exactly the problem. As most of us know, there's a serious lack of entertainment options up here, especially for people under 60. Despite the older demographic, there's still a sizable group of younger, creative, and social folks looking for something to do. Sure, you could be satisfied with a '70s rock cover band for the 100th time in the village, but if not, then Dogwood has the potential to be the go-to spot if it just puts in a bit more effort. The last event listed on your website was in 2019. The last Instagram post was over two months ago, and the one before that was for New Year's Eve. With that kind of minimal effort in promoting and programming, it's no surprise the vibe is lacking. If Dogwood committed even 50% effort to curating consistent experiences and letting people know about them, I believe it could be one of the best spots on the mountain.
