Came here to say to celebrate my wife's birthday. We got an outdoor table so we could enjoy the view. My wife ordered a Caesar salad and the Tropical Mahi Mahi. She enjoyed everything! I ordered my usual coconut shrimp with Brussels sprouts and whipped sweet potatoes. Yummy! We topped this off with a piece of carrot cake. This cake is on another level. WOW! Food lacked flavor, onions rings were hard, lobster bisque had ZERO lobster meat and soup was very salty. Shrimp had no flavor, plantains were hard, ice tea was watery, no flavor. I have eaten here twice and had a great time. Love the oyster house vibe and they offer a ton of outdoor dining options. The staff is very friendly. They seem to run a lot of specials, from lunch to happy hour deals to a small plates special menu, something for everyone. Great selection of cocktails, perfect for your summer party vibe from Mai tais to pina colada's along with a solid beer and wine list. The views look out on the docks adjacent to the restaurant on the back bays. Plenty of boat traffic but no so it's a distraction just something fun to look out on the water and see passing by. We had a wonderful lunch at Deep Lagoon, and everything exceeded our expectations. We had a reservation and were seated right away on the outdoor patio with a breathtaking view of the lagoon. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the Tropical Paradise Salad with scallops and shrimp along with a cup of clam chowder, and both were excellent. What truly made our visit memorable, however, was our waitress, Karine. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and a great listener. When I asked for a piece of bread with my chowder, she suggested their crostini. They had accidentally been left behind in the kitchen, but Karine noticed and went the extra mile to bring them out without me having to ask again. It was a small gesture that showed how much she genuinely cared about her guests' experience. She also shared helpful information about the restaurant and the area that we would never have known otherwise. Her warm personality and exceptional service made us feel truly welcome. A large flat smooth clean parking lot with plenty of handicap spaces available. Elevators brought us up to the dining level where there was a deep wrap around porch for optional "outdoor" dining. Restrooms were clean and well supplied , bring your sweater/ cardigan for indoor dining (as anywhere in Florida) it wasn't unbearable, but some handle it better than others . Our waitress Casey was very informative & attentive to our requests. Every dish was delicious & savory. We started with the chips & dip, crab cakes & deviled eggs . I ordered the mahi (with mango salsa) mashed sweet potatoes & fried plantains ( )! It was not a large portion but it also wasn't small. Every bite was delicious and complimented its accompaniments. A group of 5 of us had dinner reservations at Deep Lagoon on a rainy Saturday evening. We were seated outside on the covered patio. The table was a tight squeeze for 5; we had one person half way off/kind of on the corner. Majority of the group ordered from the summer specials menu because the options for the prices really couldn't be beat. I had the grouper Oscar and lobster bisque. The grouper was served over mashed potatoes and asparagus. The grouper was topped with crab meat and a hollandaise sauce. I thought the dish was very flavorful. I did find a crab claw/shell in one of my bites of food. I guess that's a sign that the meat is truly hand picked! The drinks were phenomenal and the table bread came out warm with delicious cinnamon butter. The views outside over the water were great and would've been exceptional in better weather. Our server was very personable and checked in with us throughout the duration of the meal. I'd recommend coming here to celebrate something special. read more

I had a very enjoyable experience at Deep Lagoon. The food was outstanding and creative. While they do have the traditional seafood fare, they have some very interesting twists. The happy hour menu and the price fix give great, less expensive options. The featured cocktails are creative and give fun alternatives. The view is spectacular Lastly, our server was outstanding and did a fantastic job. The one caveat is that there are a lot of larger tables and children, so if you are looking for a romantic, quiet spot, this probably is not the place. read more

Overall 4 stars based on my experience even though the Yelp rating is lower. Came here for lunch on a recommendation and it was located by the Marine Max yacht broker I was visiting. They have bar, main room and outdoor seating located right at the marina. It's a perfect setting. Our server was very nice, the food was good, service was prompt and prices were fair. The good: our server Caitlin was one of the best we've ever had. She was amazing. The view from the patio is so nice. Can watch boats coming and going up and down the inter coastal. If you come on a boat you can use the dock with red caps first come first served. The kids menu and the kids treasure chest was a really nice touch. The not good: The level of service from the kitchen was not as good as a level of service out front . Food took a really long time. We sat down at 1145am, did not get our food until 1pm despite ordering as soon as we could. Also, the clam chowder was really salty, fries were served cold. Save the $4 and just get a cup lol Also, the pepper shaker is worth writing about. It's the super fine pepper grade but the shaker was clogged so you had to open the container to use it. But watch out if there is even a slight breeze or else the tables across the way will be wearing it! Seared ahi salad - they give you a lot of salad! Great flavor even without the dressing (which was a bit too salty). Ginger was FRESH which was a bonus! Mahi stacked salad - be warned there is a lot of blu cheese! Was told it was a great salad though. Personally I thought the Mahi was a bit dry. Staff was attentive and very friendly! Our waiter was Noah. Onion rings came out late but he comped them. My wife and I visited this place nice location on the water nice view if you're setting outside . Staff is very nice and friendly. The food was misrepresented of what actually ordered. My wife ordered the lobster brisk and a salad. She said salad was good but the lots of brisk had little to none lobster in it just a couple crumbs so they could call it. Lobster brisk. Should have been called just brisk. I ordered a Smash-burger this is not what I received. I received a hamburger I make smash burgers. I know what they are and this was not it not even close so that was a little disappointing for the prices that we paid. I probably would not go back. read more

Very slow service, from the initial visit by the wait staff, to ordering drinks, to getting drinks, to the wait staff to come back and answer any questions, to them returning with their answers, to taking our order, to receiving bread, to receiving our food, to returning for any additional items or drinks, to bringing our check. Slow slow slow. Our server made comments several times about our order saying ridiculous. Not sure if that meant great, outstanding or if it was sarcastic when I didn't opt for her suggested upsell on a wine. Temperature in the restaurant is always on the warm side which makes the wait seem even longer We were in a back room in a booth. The table next to us was very close, people actually back their chairs right into our table, and their table had a tv suspended overhead. Not my preference of a great spot to eat, wondering when the tv will either drop on me or start up and blare in my ear. Deep Lagoon must be a popular spot for locals because when I went on a Monday night for dinner it was packed. We had a reservation so even though it was packed we got seated right away. First impressions were this was your average Florida restaurant with some seafood on display and a lot of seafood decor. The table we sat at had a big chip in it, so that was a bit odd. For the food, we started with some calamari and oysters. The waitress recommended some different oysters since they had at least 8 kinds to choose from. We enjoyed her recommendations and got two different kinds. The calamari was good but nothing special. For my meal I got a mahi thermidor. This was okay, it didn't have a lot of flavor and there were very few and small pieces of crab. If I am being honest the best part of the mahi thermidor was the rice. My friend got the cedar plank salmon. She really enjoyed her meal and said it was good. For dessert the 4 of us split the chocolate cake. The cake was good and giant. You could easily split this with 6 people after a meal. Overall, this was just an average seafood place with very friendly staff. Nothing bad but also nothing to rave about. read more

We stopped into Deep Lagoon a little early on Christmas Eve, thinking brunch might be an option, but it turned out to be a seafood feast to remember! We started with the colossal shrimp appetizer--absolutely incredible! The shrimp were perfectly tender yet crisp, large, and sweet. For our main course, we indulged in The Big Chill Seafood Tower, and it was a showstopper: * A whole Maine lobster * Eight cocktail shrimp * Eight peel-and-eat shrimp * Two large stone crab claws * 4oz tuna tataki * A dozen Gulf oysters (served with horseradish cream & caviar) * Six chilled clams * Six chilled mussels Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. We spent over two hours savoring the seafood, enjoying cocktails, and soaking in the laid-back festive yet upscale atmosphere. We sat at the bar, where the bartenders made the experience even better--they were fun, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. A special shoutout to Nyssa, who brought us our appetizer.
