Pigfish. OH. EM. GEE. Pigfish is absolutely amazing! We stopped at the new Calusa Brewing location and beyond having amazing beers, we needed to get some amazing food to match! The food came out fast, but you can tell everything was made in house and super fresh. Kathy is an absolute gem as well. She'll take really good care of you!

My husband and I have eaten here twice while visiting Calusa and it does not disappoint. I actually haven't tried their seafood but plan to on the next visit. Absolutely love their vegetarian, house made, black bean burger. Great flavor variety and super fresh. We've tried both of their fries and they're also great. My husband has enjoyed their burgers and chicken sandwich. Such a great way to have lunch or dinner with a fresh craft beer inside (or outside) the brewery. Cant wait to return!

I liked my food. I ordered their signature sandwich called The PigFish, a blue Cobia fish sandwich with in addition to the typical lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle toppings, included a good amount of bacon tartar sauce. The two firm pieces of fish were what they describe "house blackened", which I didn't notice but I often don't notice lightly blackened fish seasoning. The sandwich came with a side, I selected their side Caesar, which I was also satisfied with. My wife was less impressed with her Fish & Chips, an oily thicky battered fish served with steak fries. PigFish is an order at a counter including providing a phone number, and you pick up your food when you get a text that it's ready. I did see a couple of people that looked like servers, but they must be part of the Calusa Brewing Taproom. The tables are shared between the two parts of the business. There was live entertainment, a three piece group playing lounge style music. I liked listening to it. Our timing may have been bad, when we figured out what we wanted and headed to the counter, there was a line that took 15 minutes, followed by another 15 minutes before our food was ready. I saw other times there was no line. For us it was a 30 minute wait.

My wife and I stopped here over the weekend. Located in the Calusa Brewing Taproom. They have their own counter to order the food. We ordered a PigFish which is crispy braised pork with fixings on a 8" Hoagie. Very tasty but not worth $24. My wife ordered a Beef & Cheddar for $19.This sandwich is made with Braised Short Ribs grilled onions, Cheddar and their secret sauce. This was also very tasty. They share the interior with the bar and it's nothing special. If the prices don't bother you I would definitely give it a shot.

Came in for a late lunch. Not many people here. Table ordered two lunch special double smash burgers with a side of fries and a salad and two diet cokes. The food was really quite excellent - everything fresh, hot and perfectly cooked. The beef was definitely a higher quality than the usual restaurant burger. Chocolate cookie was just okay. With tip and tax, it was $61. Kind of high for counter service lunch, but much tastier than a chain burger.

So good. Great beer, great food. Super fun to hang out and get a quick bite and a drink. Their interpretation of a po boy is good, though I wish it was bigger. The bread is excellent. The Nashville fish sandwich is good, though I wish it was spicier. The pigfish is yummy. I like the wedge fries more than the seasoned fries. The blistered shishitos are fun to eat. Highly recommend.

We've dined here twice and enjoy the ability to get a good meal along with our Calusa brews. The menu is a little pricey, but offers a good selection of seafood and sandwiches. The Nashville fish sandwich is our favorite - the bread has the perfect amount of crisp and the spice is just right. My little one also really enjoyed her massive kids chicken sandwich. I would avoid anything fried here - both the fish and chips and hush puppies had a greasy, oily flavor to them. The hushpuppies are a sort of funnel cake fluff to them that was odd. Overall, pigfish has lots of positives and we will continue to try their menu when we visit Calusa.

This place is a good local place to spend an afternoon. There is a main bar and side bar, also a private room for events. Another smaller room with long booth. Service amenable. I tried cider and cookie. Cider was nice and cold. Took chocolate chip cookie to go and really wished I had it warm. Had cinnamon flavor which I liked but not for everyone. Nice covered outdoor area. Great parking lot with plenty of spaces and newly paved.

Found this place because of my Yelp community! It is a little hole in the wall, dive (which are…read moreoften the best places!) just a couple of blocks from Siesta Key Beach. It would be completely a miss on your map. We waited for a long time for a table, well past what we were quoted. There's not a lot of tables inside and a couple of bar seats. It is very small, we almost left, and the host said he would bring us food if we wanted to go next door and grab a drink. But it was well worth the wait. The host as well as our server were so friendly, so laid-back definitely beach vibes. They talked to us about how the owner was originally from upper Northeast came down and opened up the shop and they all were friends and worked together. You felt a great sense of a family to the staff. He recommended the grouper Reuben, which, maybe to some of you sounds kind of gross, but it was literally the best fish sandwich. I think I've ever had in my life. And i grew up on and still eat a lot of seafood. It was melted cheese. The fish was fresh. It was packed with fish, just enough sauerkraut and thousand Island to give it just a hint of Reuben. The fish remained the star and the bread was incredible too! The environment as you can see from my pictures it's just what you would expect a surf shack type of place to be and you literally could walk from the beach although we did drive after being at the beach all day. Highly highly recommend 10/10! Seek this place out if you're ever in Sarasota in Siesta Key Beach, it is the best and so fresh you won't regret it.

A few community tables so make sure you don't mind that. Service is a little gruff but that fits the vibe of this local fish market. We got the clam chowder, the peel and eat shrimp, and split a grouper sandwich, and a few beers. The clam chowder was tasty. Good meaty and creamy flavor. Comes out piping hot. The peel and eat shrimp was fantastic. Whatever sauce they use on it, a cajun, buttery, garlicky sauce was just amazing. Definitely worth getting if you like that kind of thing. The grouper sandwich was good. It needed a little bit of salt but I can see why this is a specialty here. Tender meat, good sauce. Definitely a top seafood spot if you're looking for something less tourist-y.

So I thought I HAD to give it a second visit and see if my first time was just a lucky chance. Well, I went today for brunch and experienced another 5 star meal. Since it was as great a meal today, I'll comment on behalf of both. Greeted IMMEDIATELY upon entering the restaurant by a friendly up beat employee. The restaurant was very clean and seemed to be operating at a smooth pace. We were led to our table and handed our menus. Our server was with us almost immediately, smiling and greeting us to the restaurant. Menus were handed out and our questions were answered. We had 5 people in our party and ordered 4 blackberry Bellinis and I had a coffee old fashioned. We ALL raved about our drinks and after a few more questions, we ordered our meals: Crab Cake Benedict, Smoked Salmon Benedict, Chicken Sandwich and a Philly Steak Sandwich. All I can say is that EVERY plate was EMPTY! We ALL LOVED our food! It was hot, fresh tasting and delicious flavors. Even the fries were hot, crisp, fresh and seasoned perfectly. Forgot, Two of our party members ordered the wild mushroom torte, and...NOTHING left on the plate!! Our food was so awesome that we had to try 2 desserts: Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée and the Carrot Cake and yes...they were demolished and joined the 'Clean Plate Club'!!!!! EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING AND EVERYONE IN OUR PARTY LEFT WITH AN AMAZINGLY AWESOME EXPERIENCE! GREAT job by EVERYONE WHO WORKED TODAY. Mic drop experience and I can't wait to go back!!!

Being in a different state, I reached out to Brine to coordinate a reservation and purchase a gift card to ensure they were taken care of. They were extremely helpful with making sure it all went smoothly, which made me eager to try the restaurant for myself when I visited this year. Within minutes of stepping through their doors and taking a seat, I knew Brine was going to become one of my new favorites. The staff are all super attentive and really take the time to get to know their guests. It was so nice to hear wait staff greeting their regulars by name, celebrating birthdays with them and talking about important milestones as if they were part of their family. The food completely blew me out of the water - the ingredients fresh and packed with flavor. My family's favorite appetizer is the Brooklyn Style Wings - maybe because we are from Brooklyn, but the wings are addicting with the flavors of sausage, peppers, and a vinegary sauce. The burger was the most surprising of them all, with big flavor and smokiness infused into every bite of meat. Oysters were clean, fish was fresh, and the homemade chips had the perfect crunch. I'm so glad I discovered Brine, but now am so disappointed that I don't live in Sarasota full time to be able to dine here more often. This was definitely one of the best meals of my visit, and I will continuously recommend to everyone!
