    Acai Bowl

I really like that it's unlimited toppings! However, for 8 ounces, it is a little pricey at $8. They do fill the cup up to the brim and you can choose all of your toppings. Also pretty cool that it is all vegan.

Fresh & delicious! Acai is so good! Fill out a form with toppings of your choice (unlimited selection) and wait for them to make a cup to perfection. I recommend getting the coconut flakes, chia seed, and almond butter. Then pick some fruits to add. It is all vegan. The cups are pricey, but they do fill them to the brim for you. A nice treat to have once in awhile. The space is shared with Fons Vegan Empanadas and located near NYU. Two tables and minimal seating inside. No restrooms. Grab an acai cup to go.

    Closed door during open hours....

Visited west village with friends on weekend. Walked by this little shop and saw their street sign that they are having promotion. But when we tried to open the door, the guy came out and told us they are closed...? Then why keep the sign out? And I saw two Trader Joe's bags inside the store. Are they using trader joe ingredients? Very co fused.

The store does not post its hours online so I called earlier in the day to ask when Deep Purpl closed and was told 9. I showed up at 858, yes I admit close to the deadline but I work a lot, the door was open but the employee had fully dismantled the Acai serving equipment and could only give me a pint of fully warm Acai. Now that the Acai has re-frozen in my freezer, the consistency is pretty awful.

one of the best acai i've tried. it's pricey for how small it is but you get unlimited toppings and the acai blend is very good. the girl working there was also super sweet!

Excellent food, excellent service. Menu has good span of vegan choices. Loved our variety of empanadas.

Oakberry Açaí was a convenient stop when I was staying in NoMad and craving an açaí bowl. Now that…read moreI no longer live in NYC, I originally planned to visit one of my old favorites, but this location was closer so I decided to give it a try. Food I built my own bowl (which actually comes in a cup) and added pistachio cream, hazelnut spread, strawberries, blueberries, gluten-free granola, and vanilla whey protein powder. The pistachio cream was the standout for me. I love pistachios and it's not a topping you see everywhere, so that was a really nice addition to my usual açaí order. One downside was the protein powder. It wasn't mixed in, which created a weird, grainy texture in parts of the bowl. If you're adding protein, I'd definitely suggest making sure they blend or mix it properly. I also wasn't a big fan of the "bowl" being served in a cup. Because everything is layered, it's harder to get that perfect bite where the açaí, fruit, granola, and toppings come together. Part of the joy of an açaí bowl is the mix of textures and flavors, and the cup format makes that a little tricky. Service The person working there was fine. Not particularly welcoming or memorable, but he got the job done. Well... aside from the protein powder situation lol. Ambiance This location is very small, so don't expect to hang out and eat inside. It's more of a quick grab-and-go spot. Price Oakberry is a bit pricier than other açaí spots. My cup came out to about $25. I did add some premium toppings, but even with those I usually spend closer to $18-$20 elsewhere. Overall, it satisfied the craving and the pistachio cream was a fun twist. If you're nearby and want something quick and refreshing, it works. Just double check that your protein gets mixed in!

Today I was lucky enough to get a free oakberry açaí bowl, that I customized with chia pudding,…read morepeanut butter, and granola. There was one man working behind the counter and he was working as quickly as he could, which I appreciate, given the crowds. It was clear that there were a lot of items to customize with so I can't imagine it's an easy job. While pretty good, it's not my favorite açaí place in the city, but I appreciate their branding and mission very much! I also think that even though I got this one free, you could find better size per price, given that this was about $13 normally.
