Do Not buy any spare parts from him. He charges you more than double the cost if cheap spare parts. A $90 battery costs you $189 to get replaced!! Unprofessional response when I showed that they have overcharged me . Econolast battery was charged $189 to me. And then I was told as argument that it was upfront. He then argued that i can take out the battery but it will be costing your service charge!! They are literally ripping customers. $30 synthetic oil charged $68 $30 drive belt charged $150+ $90 battery charged $189 $12 wipers charged $26 Are you serious! My exhaust pipe snapped while driving on the GSP, and being from the area originally I knew I would have luck getting off at the Rt 27 exit. I'm so glad that I stopped at Deepa on Rt 27 in Edison/Iselin. I'm surprised by the negative reviews, but I don't know if they're all owned by the same person. The Edison shop on Route 27 was fantastic. As a woman, I'm always cynical when dealing with auto repair shops, but I'm fortunate to have experience working in mechanic shops as well as having a great friend that has been a mechanics for 30+ years. I don't show my hand because I like to see if the people have integrity or are trying to rip me off, but the owner was solid. He brought me Into the garage when my car was on the lift to show me exactly what happened and told me what he could do that would be the least expensive and as close to a "by the book"repair. He had his parts guy on the phone within minutes and brought me back into the shop to show me the repair with my car still on the lift. Class act and honest. His guys did a solid job and I will definitely bring my car back to him. read more

I WENT to Deepa to see what was wrong with my car it has check Engine light and it stops the 1st thing they wanted was a $120 to look at it and then tell me what it was and I had to leave the car there that is terrible I'm a single parent and I can't afford that never go back there again. The shop did an excellent job on my Mercedes and I tell everyone about them. He was very helpful with any questions I had and I got my car back in under 1 week. Quality work!! Hello All, I wish i could give Deepa Auto 0 Star. I went to the Iselin location and rented out a U-Haul truck and he charged me 116.00 for 6 hours. After returning the truck i asked him "Do i owe you anything" ? He replied No. After 2 days i noticed another transaction of $44.75 from Deepa Auto. This scammer notes down your credit card number and charge you for no reason. He also keeps on sending you promotional emails from Deepa everyday. I was in a pickle, my car broke down and i was out of state, AAA towed me here (Deepa in Iselin), i was really concerned as it was already the afternoon and was expecting to hear something like, we can't get to it today. That isn't what i heard however, they pulled my car right in and gave it a computer diagnostic check. It showed a problem but i again thought ok, now they will have to order the part and definately won't get it today. Wrong again. I knew they were working on it, but still asked about if it would be done today, and was told, "we'll do it", and they did! i found myself driving my car off their lot a couple of hours after i brought it to them. Cheaters !!! Thieves !!!! Stay away from these guys they will rip you off. I went to repair my faulty brake lines. While taking the car back my "Service Engine Lights" were on and also the brakes are spongy. Asked Mr. Dev (Lord of Cheaters) why is it so. He said its too late and all his mechanics are gone, so come later. Before going back again I visited Autozone who do this check for free and they told me that the either the O2 sensor is faulty or poor connection to it. Went back on Saturday to Deepa Auto, he refuses to do any service on brakes and charged me $69 for the same diagnostics which Autozone did it for free and is not ready to accept they had screwed up the connection while fixing the brake lines which is still not in good shape. !!!!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP FOR YOUR GOOD !!!!! read more

On 08/14/14 my Prius would not start. I called Triple AAA, the tech came out and ran a diagnostic, and advised that the small battery had died. I was given a jump start and told to drive straight to the dealership. I went to Deepa because it was closer. Several hours and $298 later, I left with a new battery - or so I thought. On 02/13/15, my Prius again would not start. I called Triple AAA and the tech came out, ran a diagnostic and told me that the small battery was dead. I told him that was impossible because I had a new battery installed in August. The tech asked if the battery was installed at the dealership, observing that it was a Toyota OEM battery. He called Deepa and asked what kind of batteries they sell and was told they sell AC Delco and Diehard - not Toyota. The tech said the most likely scenario was that they had simply recharged the battery and charged me for replacing it - in short, they committed blatant fraud. I have called my bank and initiated a fraud investigation. I intend to file a complaint with the BBB and the consumer protection agency, in addition to posting this information in any and all available review forums. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Deepa and would in fact advise potential customers to avoid them at all cost. I hope this information helps someone out there make an informed decision.
