It was a short wait for the dinning room but they had a pub setting which had a limited menu. The beer was interesting, had an evergreen taste which was good and I was glad I tried it. We tried the loaded fries which was very good. I had the king crab which I had to eat fresh while in Alaska and my wife had the grilled chicken sandwich. There was plenty of food and we did not leave hungry. Our sever did a great job checking up on us.

We weren't there for a typical meal, we did a culinary and Alaskan gardening class. These two things happen to be my all time favorite pass times. I learned so much from nearly every staff member I came into contact with. Their pastry chef taught us so much about bread making and the science behind it and was incredibly knowledgeable. The in house gardener (yes they have one of those!) grows ingredients on site to help supplement food costs and she taught us so much about how climate impacts the plants she grows. If I had to give a negative comment it would be that the manager seemed inconvenienced by the guests and made sure to tell us that we were keeping him from his busy day, but to be fair he said he isn't usually the one who gives guest presentations so I have to give him props for doing it even when he clearly had other things to do.
