The crab legs were so fresh and so delicious (better than the famous Tracy's crab legs in Juneau in my humble opinion). We ordered 2 orders of the king crab leg that was longer than our forearms. The fries that came with them were so so delicious with a seasoning that I haven't had before. Kind of barbecuey! And even better with malt vinegar on top. The coleslaw was very good too!!! The local beer and ciders on tap were great. The S spruce tip though had us order an other pretty quickly!! And a local specialty. My mom ordered the chowder. It was potato heavy and had small lumps of seafood. I don't think we would recommend this item. The hostess at this location was so awesome too. We even got merch a glass to commemorate our best meal in Alaska!

We lucked out with the weather and were able to dine in their beautiful patio section. Service was amazing. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer and was totally okay with us splitting the tab up into 3 checks. Our table ordered a variety of dishes including the deck boss and fish and chips. Everyone seemed to love their food but my oyster po boy was overly spiced and wasn't the greatest po boy I've ever had, but still tasty. I would opt for the deck boss next time as I tried a bite and it was the star of the show. This place is a must try!

There was a bit of a wait, but we grabbed a beer and relaxed while waiting for tables to clear. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, and I really appreciated the decor throughout the restaurant. As a gal originally from Cape Cod, I especially loved the nautical theme! Of course, I ordered the fish and chips, and it came out hot, fresh, and delicious. The batter was a little crispier than I'm used to, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the flaky, white fish. The guys in our group enjoyed their meals as well. The ladies' room was clean, which is always appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this spot if you don't mind a bit of a wait. For us, it was absolutely worth it. I also want to mention that we were visiting on a cruise ship, and this restaurant was a very convenient walk to and from the port. If you're in town for the day, it's an easy and worthwhile stop!

As busy as it was, getting a seat was easy. Our server also did a good job with our food and drinks. We got lucky and sat outside during a blue bird day. We faced the mountains and it was spectacular.

We weren't there for a typical meal, we did a culinary and Alaskan gardening class. These two things happen to be my all time favorite pass times. I learned so much from nearly every staff member I came into contact with. Their pastry chef taught us so much about bread making and the science behind it and was incredibly knowledgeable. The in house gardener (yes they have one of those!) grows ingredients on site to help supplement food costs and she taught us so much about how climate impacts the plants she grows. (Their rhubarb was gigantic) everything we ate was off the charts amazing! If I had to give a negative comment it would be that the manager seemed inconvenienced by the guests and made sure to tell us that we were keeping him from his busy day, but to be fair he said he isn't usually the one who gives guest presentations so I have to give him props for doing it even when he clearly had other things to do. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE if you find yourself in Skagway, but get there early because space is limited. 11/10 Great job!!!

Their supplies come on a barge, and barge day is Tuesday. However, the cocktails were good, flavorful and strong. Got the crab legs (split the pound) and a side of fries. The crab was good, but not ohmygod good (honestly I have crab shipped to my house from Alaska that was better). The fries were awesome! And I'm not a fry person. Got a very generous piece of 24 carat cake too. The service was quite good. Our waitress apologized up and down for not having the menu items we really wanted.
