Then the new Dentist Dr Sheen proceeded to rip how clean my mouth was so the whole office could hear. Was super satisfied with Dr Scott but I feel they have lost their way. Now my husband and two children go here as well and I can't say enough great things about the office. First of all Dr. Janice Scott and Doctor Von Tersch are amazing dentists. Dear Dr. S....you feel everybody deserves the right to be out of pain? Funny, because when my sister told ALL OF YOU how much pain she was in and could not sit in your chairs comfortably, NOT ONE OF YOU WAS UNDERSTANDING. You chastised her, demeaned her and made her "promise promise promise" to make her next appointment. Her pain was not visible and she was young and it seemed like all you cared about was making sure she made her appointment, when she made it abundantly clear that she could not sit for that long (over 2 hours). She would call me crying because she didn't know what to do because she was in so much pain and couldn't make it, but didn't want to be charged because she was not able to make it in. And give me a break...I've been called to the dental room and waited an hour before even being greeted!!! And don't tell me it was an emergency, it happened far too many times. Too much double booking to make that $$. Just because you can't see someone's pain (usually if you can see it, it's less painful than what's going on. And I just wanted you to know that you and your whole cold hearted staff with no sympathy, should be ashamed. I know you have to make money. But my sister told you straight up that she couldn't sit for long because of her pain. Why am I writing this? Because that beautiful young girl that was in so much pain, which you did not believe and were mean and rolled your eyes at her or acted exasperated with her (I was with her a few times)...she died. From her pain. I think you are one of the most horrible practices out there. There are far more compassionate, responsible dentists than your practice. I would like to show my thanks and praise to the Deer Part Dental Staff. It was about 10 years ago when I first went to Deer Park Dental. I was in terrible need of dental work and a complete dental evaluation. I was a victim, as a teenager of a very old school dentist (that is putting it mildly), and the military dentist who taught me it was there job to make my dental work as painful as they could. So up and til I saw the Deer Park Dental Group I took care of My own Dental work. Not too smart and actually more painful but I had never been to a Dental Practice that put the patient first and the work second. So it was about 40 years since I had seen a Dentist. I was recommended by My best friend, so I went there to try and save as much of what teeth I had left. From the first visit I was impressed. They explained what had happened to my teeth and explained to me what they could do to fix things the best they could. Dr. Janice and Dr. Mike worked with me to get My mouth in order. They were constantly keeping me comfortable and aware of what they were doing. Very little discomfort and the results were a couple of partials, a couple fillings and we were all set. I am now on top of my dental needs. I have a wonderful Tracy who cleans my teeth on a regular basis, gives me stern advice from time to time to make sure I am taking care of my teeth on my end. After every visit Dr. Janice or Dr. Christopher come and take a look to double check things. The staff is a nice as they come and I never have to wait past my appointment time to get in. I travel alot and if I need to change an appointment it is never a problem. I would highly recommend Deer Park Dental to anyone who could use the services they provide. I had serious jaw issues, went to a dentist that came highly recommended and he was only interested in money and a long drawn out plan to remove all of my amalgam fillings prior to dealing with my TMJ! Then he used a grinder on my teeth to "fix my bite" I really should have sued but, I decided to find a good dentist instead. Dr. Janice Moreno came highly recommended by a coworker that has very high standards. Finally, someone that could help me with my jaw pain, grinding and headaches. Dr. Janice is a skilled and highly trained dentist that specializes in jaw problems. She is constantly going to continued education and training and I really can't say enough good things about her. I've also had the pleasure to have Dr. Von Tersch work on my teeth. I was afraid of dentists by the time I found Dr. Janice so, I approached my appointment with Dr. T with a bit of fear and trepidation; he too is highly skilled, caring dentist that explains things thoroughly. Today I knocked out my front tooth at 7 a.m. and was able to be seen at the office at 8 a.m. Dr Chris Von Tersch spent half his morning with me and worked like crazy to get the tooth back in place as a temporary fix and got me set up for implant work to start next week. Dr Janice Scott answered my call to her cell at 7 a.m. even though she was at a business meeting out of town. She helped to make the arrangements for me to be seen right away. I'm so glad I've been seeing Janice as my dentist for many years. Thanks to all the staff and doctors for being so gracious. I have been going here for 28 years now, and love them, never had any issues or pain with them working on my teeth. Everyone in the office is so sweet and kind, makes you feel right at home. I first visited Deer Park Dental after having gone almost 10 years without any dental care. My teeth were badly stained, I had numerous cavities, and many of my teeth were both worn away on the sides and chipped on the edges. I wanted veneers but knew that was something I could never afford. After my initial examination by Dr. Janice Scott, Deer Park Dental fixed the basic issues, then came up with a solution to restore the shape of my teeth, and at a very reasonable price. Dr. Christopher vonTersch performed the bonding, assisted by Kaitlyn (a little doll), literally re-sculpting the worn areas of my teeth. They are now beautifully shaped and my smile has been restored. I could not be more pleased. My experience was not very good and feel like they are about money more then patient care. They were unwilling to take payment arrangements and wanted the full amount up front this does not work for me I am private pay for know like most people are who have lost their jobs. I also needed some antibiotic called in and they were unwilling to call it in I was told this is the law un true its their choice I had a very reputable dentist call it in for me and see me on Monday as he did not want me to suffer over the weekend. So, my experience was not very good when I just saw them the week before and could not call me a antibiotic for a bad tooth he already knew about was very disturbing to me don't get me wrong they were willing to see me again that day for a office visit I question why when I was just there "its our policy to see the patient before prescribing antibiotic" my answer I would agree if I was not just there last week and we discussed the tooth so the doctor already knew it was a bad tooth So, they refused to call it in unless I went in for a office visit so, to me as I told them Its not good patient care to make me suffer over the weekend when I also had another appointment schedule for 2weeks out. So, unless you have good insurance and time to run to a office visit for everything I would not use them. There are to many other compassionate dentist out there who truly put the patient first by calling antibiotic or meds in and working with your finances when private pay.
