I first visited this store when our 10 year old dog was a puppy. Our regular store that carried locally made dog food was out of stock. I dropped in to check it out and Deer Springs Feed & Supply had exactly what I needed. They also had other things that I have appreciated picking up over the years, such as; solid toys for power chewers, horse shampoo for a shiny coat and barn jackets perfect for travel. Fast forward to the days of COVID. I had a lot to accomplish one day and I was heading to the gas station on my way home. I didn't quite make it and pulled in outside the shop. The owner appeared and assisted. I was quite embarrassed but the owner was kind. He ran to get a gas can and filled my car with a quarter tank of gas. I tried to give him money, but he would not take it. This was at a time when gas prices were on the rise. I was so appreciative of the kindness I received. I will always be a customer of this business because of this good deed. Sometimes I just stop by to purchase some dog treats or people treats from the fridge. This is a family run business and they really care about animals, people and their community. Not only did they help me as a citizen but they support causes such as the Teri Campus of Life down the road. Bart, Kat and Sandy are some of the nicest staff at Deere springs. We boarded here and couldn't be happier with them. The facility is clean, offers trails, covered arena, dressage, jumper ring, to only name a few of their amenities. There are so many more to list. Stalls are clean and the feeds are plentiful. If I could give zero stars I would. If you're not boarding a horse in their tiny stalls, and you are a just a regular nobody customer, you get ZERO customer service and only an attitude. On multiple occasions I've been overcharged for items that have a different price on the shelf tag. Most of the times I'm already long gone and realize it when I look at receipt later. The times when I said something at time of purchase, I got attitude because they had to leave register and walk over to shelf for the proof I just gave them. On many occasions, there's been live and dead bugs in my feed, I've seen rodent feces on bags. I have videos and pictures of everything above I mentioned for proof. My husbandis a disabled veteran and has some disabilities so we try to park in the handicap spot, however it's usually unavailable because they have a pallet or cart of feed or shavings placed there. The last time we were there, the handicap was available, we parked there when we went in the store, there were no other customers in the store, there were no carts to be found to put 50 lb bags of feed on, so we asked if they had any carts, the three people that were just standing around said they weren't sure, and there should be one somewhere, however none of them attempted to look for one so I asked if someone could help us because my husband is a disabled veteran and she reluctantly said "she can try" however, we received no help so my husband carried 50 lb bags to the register and after we paid he carried each bag out to the car when I asked the cashier to please help carry at least the last bag because hes too proud to ask again & he won't beg for help, she reluctantly to carried the bag. When she got to the car my husband asked her if the guy that was standing behind the registers casually talking to the other two employees (who went to the back where only employees are allowed go) works there and why couldn't he help, she said no he doesn't work here. My husband then told her, after giving you six years of business, we won't be back. She just shrugged her shoulders, turned and her back and walked back into the store. Yes, I've already spread the word to all and any of my ranch friends and family. They won't be back either. read more

This feed store has the most kind, helpful and hardworking staff -- Maddie and Kate were both so great. They made awesome suggestions since the store was out of my usual choice that day, the store was kept clean, and everything was fairly priced. However, I'll be choosing this feed store for all of our family's feed and supply needs going forward strictly because of my experience with the staff that day. read more

I have had my horse at DSE for several years. It is wonderful to have the Feed Store right on the premises. I really like that they are concerned about the care of my horse. If there has been an issue they have dealt with it immediately. There is always open communication. I love the size of the pen for my guy. I also like that he can't touch noses with the other horses. One of the last facilities I was at, the horses were huge compared to my Arabian, they had many severe bite injuries from the reach over. The price is also affordable for a Boarding Facility of this stature. Many great places to ride on the property or across the street, access to trails. read more

These guys saved me!! I was housesitting for a family with two goats & six chickens and we ran out of hay for the goats one day before family returned. Not good!! They were the only feed store close by open on a Sunday! I drive an 95' BMW & it's a tight squeeze in the back seat! The main guy helped me cram 100/150lb bail of allfalfa in my back seat. We were dying laughing, it was quite ridiculous! He had a great sense of humor & knew those goats needed their feed. Great experience & will return again for my farm needs! read more

I LOVE this place! Found it by mistake, calling around trying to find the best price on Orijen Large breed puppy food. I didn't even know this place existed! Another store that didn't have our food recommended calling this place. We just got lucky! I wish they advertised more! We would have been buying our dog food from them all these years! Loaded on dog food (and not the junk food you find in Walmart! They sell the good food - Orijen, Canidae, etc..., treats, shampoos,beds, food bowls, collars, leashes, and so much more! Their prices beat everybody else's too! Their price on Orijen Large Puppy was $8 less than the cheapest we found in the area! I also saw they have a ton of horse and chicken stuff. We saw baby chicks too. Very clean, very loaded, everybody there was super nice and friendly. Pets and kids are welcome. Our little girl had a blast with the hens outside! They let her hold them, give them worms, fun stiff! I don't know much about horses and chickens (I think it is their main business, their website also says they do horse boarding) but I highly recommend this place to every responsible dog owner! This is a pretty great feed store. They have all the ranch needs you could think. Great brands known for there quality. I buy my dog food, pig feed, goat feed, chicken feed, and hay from them. They also have the big blocks of trace mineral salt licks, which not many of the smaller feed places have. The owners are really cool and down to earth people willing to make deals for loyal customers. If buying in bulk (by the pallet or half pallet) they do free delivery which is a life (and back) saver. Their prices are slightly above the other feed stores, but I am more satisfied with the quality and customer service I recieve here. Highly reccomend this place. read more

AMAZING outstanding service. I am sorta dumbfounded because super nice people with great service isn't found easily these days. Austin, who runs the place has saved my life twice now. Well, at least my labs who think they will die without a meal. I keep forgetting I need to get food on my way home and there are only two places around that sell Nature's Logic. I couldn't make it but she arranged to get it to me. Not to mention, anyone who supports rescue organizations is top in my book as well. They have great products and great prices. My local feed store,have been trading there for 6 years,i bought a bale of orchard grass hay there last weekend,got it home and it looked bad,alot of brown,but sometimes it looks like that i tried to feed it to our horse and other animals and nothing would touch it.i went back and told them,they had some bad hay and i would like to bring it back and get a different one or money back if they didn't have any new,i was told no refunds all hay sell final! What! you sold me bad hay at top price and you won't stand behind it?i just can't believe the lack of customer service,i guess they only need the people that board horses there and not any outsiders? i was surprised and sad because they are close to me,but i will move on to another place.thanks to my local feed store................................................? read more

This place is wonderful. I shop here for my dogs and cat. They really know their pet nutrition! They carry all of the grain free brands I use, and for an even better price than I get online. They have my favorite dog treats, Plato, and for the correct price (one local store doubles the usual price, since it's hard to find.) It's also fun to shop there; there are often baby chickens and usually a dog or two to pet. read more
