Tried a simple pepperoni thin crust pizza. It was too heavy on the cheese, the pepperoni was of average quality, the sauce was sweet with no herbs -tomatoes, salt, maybe onion powder and sugar (I added Italian herbs and a little red pepper which made a big difference), and sweet crust that was a little thicker than a typical thin crust. I like the dough. Not chewy but still nice. They have a very robust menu! And, they list several awards on their menu. My family grew up eating DeFelice pizza! Every time I go home or my parents come to Columbus they bring me DeFelice pizza! My husband grew up in Columbus and loves my hometown pizza! We were in Newark for a visit and we decided to try the DeFelice in Newark on our drive back. The pizza was ready before the quoted time which was great! It tasted just like home! The crust, sauce and cheese were so delicious even after driving back 30 minutes. My favorite is the sauce and my husband loves the crust. It was consistent and tasted just like other DeFelice stores back home in the valley. The owner who is also from the valley was so kind! We bought a cookie for our toddler and he gave it to us for free. He definitely gave "small town" service and I could tell he really cares about his customers and pizza shop. Our only hope is that you open a DeFelice closer to the Columbus area! It was so nice having the best pizza in the valley available in Newark! We will definitely be back to visit the next time we are in Newark! read more

We ordered from DeFelice tonight for the second time and it did not disappoint!! The employees are super friendly and polite. The pizza is excellent! We've only tried the oven fried crust and it's perfect. Flavorful and crunchy without being greasy. Tonight we enjoyed a Buffalo Chicken pizza, a sausage, onion & green pepper pizza and a traditional pasta with meatballs. Everything was delicious! Their sauce is amazing! Firstly, I will say the couple times I have ordered from here, the pizza has been delicious. It has that old-school Pizza Hut taste before Pizza Hut ruined it..lol. So, why the 3 stars? Because their business model leaves little to be desired. Website - Online ordering is unavailable. Their website will let you get to the final stages and tells you to call the store. You cant even look at the menu without starting the online ordering process. Also, there is no "corporate contact info" on there and it looks like the developer gave up on the site Delivery - It seems they pick and choose which days they deliver and which days they dont. Location - Yea, its right off SR-16 but its in the same building as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center. I am sure the medical staff enjoy the wonderful smell but its just kind of odd to convert an office to a restaurant. Dine in - Not available. Speaking of Pizza Hut, we have 2 vacant former Pizza Hut locations in the area with dine-in seating available where this restaurant would be wonderful to have. Social Media - They dont really respond to concerns from their social media page. At one time they posted a special and when I went to order, they would not honor it because they had not had their grand opening yet. I feel this place wont survive if they dont fix some of these issues, at least with delivery and online ordering. I will still continue to get pizza from here but they need to do something. I dont know if they are just testing the waters or what. read more

Just got my pizza. Two hours we waited. Showed up cold and grease had soaked through to the bottom and the ripple cardboard had stuck to the bottom of the pizza. Was not offered a discount our free pizza when I called a hour and a half into waiting. The original time they gave me was 40 min. This was our first time trying DeFelice Bros Pizza, and we will definitely be back! We ordered Parmesan wings, sausage pep pizza, and a meatball pep calzone. Our fave out of all was the calzone! We got the thick crust pizza and it does remind me of how pizza huts crust use to be! It was delicious! I really enjoyed the taste of the meatballs! Being a gluten-free foodie, its hard to find a really good pizza crust that satisfies my desire for good old real pizza. Not only was the gf crust really delicious along with both of the white pizza types we selected, but I almost thought they must of messed up our order because I thought it couldn't be gluten free (and taste so gluten-ey). The spinach white pizza and the tomato basil are both just perfect. highly recommend! I would have given 5 stars but my hubby thought the sub he had was just average, so I ranked it a 4 instead of 5. read more

Ordered from DeFelice Bros last night. We tried one thick crust and one thin crust pizza. Also had the meatball appetizer. The thick crust was greasy. We thought it tasted real similar to Pizza Hut. The thin crust was better but still nothing spectacular. The pizzas had way too much sauce and cheese on them. The sauce was thick and had no real taste. Tasted like a tomato paste from the grocery store. The meatballs were very dense with not much taste. We were pretty disappointed with the quality of everything we ordered. We tend to order extra because the kids like to have the leftovers for breakfast. As of this afternoon nobody has touched the boxes in the fridge. On a positive note the online ordering was easy and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was bright and seemed very clean. read more

Mismanaged all the way around. Good size portions but service very poor. We were told about a 45 min wait. 45 minutes later were told 10-15, then 20-25 which ended up being another 45. The poor girls at the counter coukd only apologize but chose to give some customers discounts for the wait. No manager in sight helping or handling very upset customers. We ordered Pepperoni Pizza, Taco Pizza, Sausages and Peppers App and Lasagna Pasta and they were all super delicious! Cake out hot and fresh. The sauce is really fresh.
