Time Tunnel Toys is a cool little shop with a lot of nostalgic and collectible toys, action figures, comics, etc. The parking lot is small but you should be able to find a space. The store has heating probably AC too. The owners are friendly and welcoming and willing to let you take a closer look at items, etc. My brother and I had fun window shopping here. Possibly looking for items to add to our collection. It was nice to see old toys or TV shows we grew up watching like Ultraman, GI Joe, Starbucks Wars, Starbucks Trek, Hotwheels, Battlestar Galactica, X-Men, Transformers, Macross/Robotech, etc. Come support your local business. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place. I was at Goodwill next door and found this gem by accident. As an 80s kid who refuses to let go, this place lit a fire in my retro soul. Lots of vintage toy stores seem to be geared more around boys toys but they had lots of vintage Barbies, My Little Pony, Raggedy Anne & Andy, plus lots of unisex toys! There are rows of well-organized items, some very unique things! As a huge MJ fan, I appreciated that they had some of his memorabilia. They had so many Garbage Pail Kids cards, too! I always have a hard time finding them but not here! I'm not a Stars Wars fan but I can say they had a huge selection. So many things here unlocked memories for me and had me feeling like a kid again. I had to go meet my family so my time was limited but I definitely plan to go back again soon! Juuuuust discovered this place because we were right next door at the Goodwill and we hadn't noticed it. Stepping inside will instantly transport you back in time to your childhood. I was a kid all through the late 70s and early 80s and this place brings back so much nostalgia, most notably old SciFi stuff - Star Wars and Star Trek. I had to pick up a couple TNG figures and I'll be back for more soon. My 13 year old also instantly fell in love with some Micro Machines from 1993 (he called them old...). Everything in the store is reasonably priced. We will be back for more things. Don't tell my wife. read more

I came here with my son during a recent rainy Saturday. I'm like the character from the 40 year old virgin and have a TON of old toys and collectibles I've been acquiring for the better part of 20 years. I wanted to just come to this place and trade to the store a few of my things. Upon coming in you can see there is a wide variety of toys here, form Pokémon, hot wheels, transformers, power rangers, old records, old comings...It's just like being teleported to the 80s/90s. I had a few transformers, and star trek collectables, he gave me a reasonable offer on trade or cash. It was fair and I accepted the offer. It's a small business being run by some very kind owners. The place had some very cool merchandise, but VERY overpriced. The customer service was good, they took their time to show us each item was ask to view, but every time they sold us the price we politely said we weren't interested because there is no way I'm paying that much. Called before driving well over an hour from Monterey to ensure they took the type of toys I had and comics. I come in with a huge bin and another bin of comics. This place is a goldmine for very cool old school toys and collectibles as well as records and posters. What ever you do, don't blink or you will miss something. I walked around the store no less than 5 times and each time I saw something different (so cool) Hot Wheels, Godzilla, Troll dolls, Lost in space, Bruce Lee, Dean Martin and my little ponies (just to name a few) they have something for everyone here and at all different price points as well as great gift ideas for friends and families. I love this small little shop! It was kinda hard to find, so I ended up parking next door, but there is def. a lot of parking. The shop isn't too big or too small but they have a bunch of old classic toys! My dad came here cuz my son is in love with Godzilla and wanted to get him a toy. They sure have a bunch of Godzilla toys a long with old vintage toys. The man that ran this place is super helpful and great customer service. Some of the toys could be a little pricey compared to Amazon, but I am a firm believer of small mom and pop shop to keep them around. There's something different when you can actually pick up a toy, check it out and purchase it and bring it home that same day! My son always asks me to take him there to get more Godzilla toys. This is a portal to the best time in my life...quite possibly the best vintage toy store I have ever been to. They have rare gems and toys that take you back to your inner child and one cannot help, but bask in the great nostalgia that filled the days of youth. My mind feels at peace here. I do not recommend buying anything from here unless you are ok with paying for more than the item is worth I bought an item for 60$ and when i got home I looked it up and they sell for around 30$ (shipping included in the 30$) They said all sales are final Every item I looked at could be bought online for cheaper, a McDonald's furby toy was 6$ in there shop and you can literally buy like 15 for 10$ on Mercari I did some calculating and the items on average is what I got (do keep in mind I only looked at a few items so the data is not going to be 100% accurate, for that I would need to see a list of all the items in the shop and compare them to online prices and would count the shipping cost as part of the full price) If an item is 30$ online it would be 70$-50$ in time tunnel toys The only good thing I can really say is the prices are not set in stone and you can get the price a bit lower But that doesn't really mean too much if the items are around double the price And the are good for window shopping too see what you would like to buy online for a better price read more

This is a fun little collectible toy shop where you just might find a little piece of your childhood if you look around enough. The two owners and I know each other by business only. Its kind of that thing where you do business with someone you can tell is likely completely opposite of you in every way, so nobody really wants to gamble on starting up a conversation and ruining it. Hahaha. I used to go in and buy Marvel stuff, but Disney has been on a mission to burn that franchise to the ground. I also get Star Wars stuff, but Disney is trying to burn that to the ground with Kathleen Kennedy holding the gas and matches while John Favreau and Dave Feloni fight back with supersoakers. Anyway a bit off topic... This store has a ton of toys of all kinds. They also have some comics, a few nes, and snes era games, and I think I saw some records and posters. This places makes me wish I was 10 again. They have practically everything you could ever imagine. Star Wars. Star Trek. Comics. Kamen Ride. Vintage clowns. Pokemon. Horror Movie Figures. Wrestling Figures. Sailor Moon. It's a pretty neat and organized place. The owners are always there to make sure you're okay and to unlock the glass cases so you can get a better look at the toys. After many years of passing by this place to hit up Streetlight records, I finally dropped by. I was MESMERIZED by everything they had. Garbage Pail Kids, Pez Dispensers, Comic Books, Wacky Packages etc. It's seriously an amazing place. I was excited to find out there was a "vintage" toy store in the area. However, my experience here both as a buyer and a seller was pretty disappointing. As a seller: the owners are not around often because they'll be away on buying trips or conventions and the sole employee there apparently has no authority to buy. The employee was rude and unfriendly and I felt unwanted there. The buying experience was equally or more frustrating. The store is just a small room lined with locked glass cabinets crammed with toys. It's difficult to see what's inside and what you can see has the price hidden on the back, side, or bottom, so you have no idea how much it is. You have to ask them to unlock the cabinet if you are curious or want to see what is buried behind all the boxes, and then have them stand there and stare at you while you decide. The non-owner employee seemed to have zero knowledge about the store. I asked if they had specific action figures in stock and he just said "I don't know" in this really put-upon way. Really uncomfortable. Does not encourage you to ask for prices or buy anything. The few things I saw prices on seemed overpriced. Overall, I'll stick to eBay. I didn't see anything rare or unusual in this store to make it worth it. I prefer to support a local store, but this was not a good experience. read more

Wow, this place is a blast from the past! I stepped in today and couldn't believe all the cool stuff they have. All types of toys and action figures from when I was a kid including Masters of the Universe (MOTU), GI JOE, Star Wars, M.u.s.c.l.e figures, battle beasts, and way more! I ended up purchasing some 80s toys from when I was a kid. Its remarkable that you could find stuff like this outside of ebay nowadays, especially at those prices. Prices were very fair, comparable to ebay. Everything is displayed in shelves with glass. Really, it feels more like a museum than a store. They've taken great care to display everything just right. The only downside that I see is that they have mostly everything under lock and key, so you need to ask for assistance to view the collectibles. I'm sure this is to prevent theft, I just wished they're was a better way to check everything out quicker. I imagine it can get crazy with more than 3 shoppers. I'll be coming here often. read more

They go to trade shows which I want to check out one day. If you are looking for some old toys that are still in new or good condition, check this place out. So if there was one place I could direct deposit my check, this would be it. I was driving around town and went on Bascom for a shortcut, only to quickly see a toy shop on my right, so I pulled in. Also, if you're a geek, this may be the greatest strip mall ever - Toys here; comic, cards, and video games right next door; a record store. Seriously, I need to limit myself to coming here once a month or I'll just blow my paycheck. Now I had heard of Time Tunnel Toys, but this was my first time in here, and it was more like an art gallery to me. Along all the walls, and the center column are display cases with toys from 50s to today. All different kinds: Transformers, Godzilla, MotU, GI Joe, TMNT, Aliens, and so many more. Some are in their original packaging, some are loose, and you really need to look around and double back. As an avid Transformers collector, this was my heaven, and I finally got an original Mirage with all the pieces and cards. It wasn't cheap, but this is something I've wanted for a long time. I made notes on a lot of the other figures I want to pick up after I wait another month. The woman who was running the place was really nice and helpful, asking if I wanted to see anything before purchasing and explaining the history of the store, some toy conventions in the area. Also playing some awesome 80s Punk. So, if you like or collect any toys made in the last 50 years, this is most likely your best spot. They also buy and rent out display space if you have a collection you are trying to off load. read more

The majority of toys sold here is under consignment and offers a variety of toys released in the past ranging from Hot Wheels, Star Wars, G.I. Joe, original Transformers, The Simpsons. First of all let me say that I love that little hole-in-the-wall places like this still exist. I've known the store was just around the corner from my complex for awhile and been meaning to stop there; every time I was in the area however, they seemed to be closed (they do have somewhat restrictive hours, but I honestly do not fault them for that in the slightest-- this is a specialty shop not Toys R Us, and they get to set their own hours, plus sometimes they are busy going to conventions instead). This time though I'd been over to drop off some things at Goodwill and saw the OPEN sign lit and I had some extra time this afternoon, so delightedly I went in! They had a reasonably fun selection of items to ogle-- vinyl records, movie posters, lots of action figures and toys, pin buttons, classic video games, trading cards, plushies, and other assorted collectibles-- most of which were inside glass cabinets with locks. I took my time perusing the shop, looking everything over. The owner was busy with some clients who'd come in to sell a couple boxes of old toys (as a family member had recently passed away) and was discussing what he'd offer for the lot. After he'd cut them a check and they'd left, I overheard him discussing what he expected his profits would be in the end, which was nominal and within reason. So while I myself would be unlikely to ever sell any of my collectibles here, I do believe it would be a worthwhile place to take said stuff if you were of the inclination to get a fair price without the hassle of listing on, say, eBay. By then I'd located a few things I had a greater interest in, so I inquired about getting to see them closer up and about pricing. The owner opened each lock for me so I could make my selections. One of the items (an old D&D guidebook) was marked at $30, but he said he was willing to go $20 on it, as I'd expressed I might want to pick it up as a gift for my brother. By dropping the price, he ensured that particular sale, because I wouldn't have been willing to part with thirty for its acquisition. Smart man. Another selection was some Atari 2600 games, as whenever I see one I don't own yet, I like to snag 'em. They weren't specifically marked, so he said $5 for each, however many I'd like, and I picked up two. Also cool of him. The last item was the one of most interest to me... a pin button of the old Vortex roller coaster at Great America (seeing as I have operated the control panel of said ride, I thought this was super neat). He ended up charging me $5 for it, which was probably over-charging me, but again, he could easily gauge my level of interest and its value TO ME. I in no way hold that savvy-ness against him, and I was in to get cool stuff and support a local little business. They do accept credit card, so that's how I chose to pay for my transaction. I'm giving this five stars, because every time that I go in there, I see awesome stuff. From old movie posters to Transformers and even a decent selection of old school Punk and Gothic records. Where else can you pick up a Star Wars x-wing fighter, a Rat Fink model and a sisters of mercy record with a side of Throbbing Gristle in one place? They always seem to have new stock coming in and the owners are extremely cool people to talk to. They also buy collectables. The main day to go sell is on Thursdays. If you go on another day, they may tell you to come back on Thursday. I have bought many Transformers and records here. Some of which were pretty rare. they also produce the San Jose super Toy Show at the Santa Clara Fair grounds, which is a huge undertaking that they are great at. One thing to keep in mind is that they do stay closed for a few extra days around the time of the toy show, so it would be wise to call ahead to make sure that the store is open. the toy show alone earns them a few extra stars. read more
