I enjoyed taking a peaceful walk around the lake and I look at the cute sculptures by the water. This is an all ages and abilities city park, I just wish they would add EV charging stations around the park.

There is a very nice indoor/outdoor pavilion that is often rented for special events. There are multiple area for both child play under a covered playground and a covered area for adults to use the manual workout machines. The wide open space is great for horses to get a nice ride and to rinse off at the watering areas. The lakes and streams are filled with wild life that is indigenous to the area. Just taking a walk and listening to the sounds of nature is truly calming. On the weekends this county park gets very loud and crowded but because the park is so massive, there is always a place to relax.

As a spooky girl, the Banyan tree captured my fancy. It's stood tall and majestic with its hanging vines forming a shelter like structure. At the time of my visit, there were a few ladies sitting under it getting ready for a drumming circle. We watched for a bit before moving on. The park has loop trails. It's easy to follow via the trails app. It's a great place for hikes, long walks or for just taking a break from people. The kids would love it here as well. We walked past a few play grounds and biking trails. I plan on taking the kids back soon for some fun. 10/10 as far as parks are concerned.

It's spacious, lush, and green with plenty of trees providing shade--great for both play and relaxation. The park does close on Wednesday mornings for landscaping but reopens at noon. On weekends, it definitely gets more traffic, but it never feels overwhelming thanks to the space and layout. If you're looking for a clean, fun, and family-friendly park in Plantation, this is it!

There are no shaded areas so plan to visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon. However, if you end up here right in the middle of the day, don't worry! Your kids will be excited to cool down at the adjacent water park- also free! In between the city and water park there is a nice mostly shaded playground. This was such a fun place to visit! There is a big mall within a 10 min drive so you can make this a day trip!

Something about being out in the nature, getting some fresh air, and seeing different animals calms my mind and my heart. It feelings healing in a way. I got there as they opened, 8am on the weekends. The course starts on the far end of the park so you get to take in the park on the way there. Ducks and geese love this place. They are all over the place. The lake that takes up the middle of the park is postcard perfect. You can't really blame the birds for liking it. When we play the course it gives you a chance to see alot of the park. The course covers almost everything east to west. One of the really neat things is the burrowing owl really likes this park. They are located at at least 4 spots I have been by. They are unique not just for nesting underground, but that they have alot of attitude. There is one couple of birds that are the 16th tee box who hiss at you while you play. Including the bird encounters, Its a great park, whether disc golfing, or bird spotting.

Felt like it was actually misting but no rain. Lots of water under the walkway. It's a Lush forest. Then I did the 1 mile loop prairie trail plus an extra 300 yard loop trail off the prairie trail. Overall a nice forest. Check it out if you haven't been. It's free and plenty of parking was available on a Saturday. They Even had a cleaning station with a water hose and foot scrubber to clean your shoes on the way out.

Other signs advise pets permitted by park permit only, but does not indicate on the posts about service dogs - kind of confusing. They provide guided nature walks through the park which seems like a fun tranquil activity for people with good knees and a decent pair of binoculars. The far west side of the park provides beautiful views of the New River and small critters like crabs along the waters edge.
