2 stars because Bri was super nice and patient with my questions at my appointment. Otherwise we'd be at a 1. I'm going to add pics and explanation. Had my first appointment with Deka Lash in Chamblee and I was so excited to get my lashes done for the first time. As I said, Bri was super welcoming and answered my questions thoroughly as we went thru the application process. Unfortunately right after I washed my lashes for the first time 24+ hrs after my appt, 2 lashes came off on my right eye. When I reached out to their VA she explained to me that it's normal for eyelashes to shed. But this wasn't my lashes shedding. This was the extension coming off. I sent pics and she escalated it to the manager. The manager was nice and saw the holes in my lashes now and offered me to come in to get them fixed. Unfortunately I work a TON, and couldn't make it in within their 5 day grace period. In the meantime, I lost 2 more lashes, this time from the left side without having touched them or washed them. No natural lashes shed.) Plus, I had set my follow up appointment for just under 2 weeks later (which is a little early for a fill but I was heading out of town) so I asked if instead they could throw me a discount on my following appointment. (Usually companies can allocate a discount on the following service if the initial service wasn't up to par and for whatever reason, the follow up won't work. Which, as much as I like Bri, it wasn't. She even mentioned that she was having trouble w the glue because of the humidity in the room and had to fan it to dry. Could be technique, could be circumstance. Things happen and I understand.) Apparently, they're unable to offer a discount on the following service and they need to stand by the 5 day grace period. Let me be blunt. It is not my fault that the service wasn't executed properly and it isn't my fault that I cannot create free time to come back for a do over. I understand things happen but as understanding as I'm being, the same malleability is not being shown to me. I have sent pictures and they even agree that the outcome isn't up to their standard. The rigidness when it comes to customer service is what will make me go elsewhere. The upside is that I got a promo for my first appointment so I didn't spend the full amount on my first time or I'd be livid. If you HAVE time to go back for corrective appointments, by all means, go for it. But if you run a tight schedule and don't really have a ton of free time, I'd recommend somewhere else. read more

My lashes were nice when I left the same while I was at 10 lashes fell out. Then the next morning I woke up with lashes all over my pillow. My last tech was amazing. Very nice. The facilities are very clean, but I feel that the product that they use is not good because it doesn't last at all. It's not worth it.My wedding is today and I have no lashes on my face. I have gone to either Chamblee or Johns creek (same owner) since 2019 with a small break during covid. My favorites were Alexis at Chamblee, Kai and Brenna at Johns creek however, if I booked with anyone else it was always fine. I went to Chamblee and had a new lady who, I could tell during the process, something was wrong. I had chunks of hard glue, a lot stuck to my eyelids, and she used only lashes that were the texture of pine needed. When the wind blew, my eyelids were being ripped. That being said I removed them that night. Then the process of complaing was a mess- they use an automated ai system and makes it hard to get any clear communication. Finally they gave me a complimentary full set once I healed at Chamblee or Johns creek. Long story short, Brenna tried to fix me, but there were so many eyelash gaps that in a week I have nothing left. I called to question a free refill (honestly I deserve more as me having little lashes had wrecked my schedule on refills). They stated they could not give me a comped service because I didn't get my original comped service at Chamblee- what. You guys told me I could go to Brenna at Johns creek. Needless to say after going 2 times a month for 2 years- I cancelled. Happily. Reminder: Brenna is amazing! Everyone else I like quit or no longer works there. I do not understand how a session that caused my eyelashes and eyelids to be damaged, be corrected by a full set. My lashes are severely damaged and I hate to say it but, I saw Brenna yesterday and she agreed. I will be going here for more sessions because they are going to charge me again (30 day cancellation policy) and I figure I can go to Brenna for the rest of the sessions I have bought. If the owner rectified this properly I would have never left a negative Yelp review. I was one of the first Yelp reviews helping this place. Customer service is lost. Owners are terrible. read more

READ THIS REVIEW. I have been a loyal customer and apart of their automatic payment monthly service membership for 6 months. I have never complained before now. I am usually very happy with my lashes. The last 3 refills I noticed my lashes were falling out very quickly. I would lose 10% on the same day of service & 50% were gone after 1 1/2 weeks. It was a struggle stretching my refills to 2 weeks apart. (The attached picture is 7 days after my last refill 11/13) My last appointment on Wed 11/6 went ok, but by Monday morning I had 85% lashes gone. I finally decided to call Deka Lash with my concerns at 9 am. The lady I spoke with asked me if I could come in THAT DAY for a free fix. A fix consisted of restoring my lashes back up to full. She said she could get me a last minute appointment at 2:30pm. I said okay and rearranged my whole day to make it to this appt because I did not want to be walking around with bald lashes any longer. Around 12:30pm I got a flat tire. I called Deka Lash immediately & said I would not be able to make it to the appointment. They said okay, but they will no longer be offering me a free fix because I can only get a free fix within 5 days & today is the last day. I said "Please, I got a flat tire, but I am trying to make it. Is there anyway I can come in later today?" They said, "our lash techs are booked for the rest of the day. sorry we can not help you" I called back later that day & I asked to speak to a higher up manager. They told me that they would have one call me back. Someone called from the customer service department around 7pm that day & told me that they are sorry but they will not be able to reschedule my free fix since I missed my appt, no matter the circumstance. Wow. I was appalled by such horrible customer service but again, I am now bald lashed & desperate so I decided to book my remaining refill for the month (The 2nd refill AKA the one that I prepaid for with my monthly membership!!!). I booked my refill for 2 days later, Wed 11/13 @ 1pm. On wednesday I showed up to my apptv 20 min early for two reasons: 1) to talk to the lash tech about my concerns 2) to give her more time to fill in my now bald lashes. I walk into the salon & the lash tech with pink braids looked at me from the front desk & said "I will not be able to do a refill on those. You need a full set & I do not have time to do a full set" (VERY RUDE ATTITUDE). She said I could do a volume express service instead, which is basically a half-ass lash service used to get the lash techs to fit in more people. It's unattractive clusters that take only 1 hour instead of a classic full set that takes 2 hrs. Then she told me that I would have to PAY for this service. The manager butted in & said that my remaining refill is worth $55 & the volume express is $79 and I would have to pay the difference. After all that I've been through they were going to make me pay for a service that I didn't even want! I said if I'm going to have to pay then i'd rather just pay for a full classic set. She said she doesn't have time for that today & i would need to reschedule AND be charged a rescheduling fee! The manger butted in again and said that her lash techs need to get paid for their time!!! Unbelievable! I quietly walked out. I called corporate immediately. They said they would call me back after speaking to the Chamblee studio. Catherine from corporate called me 1 hr later & said, "unfortunately we will no longer be able to service you as a client at any of our studios but we will cancel your membership and you wont be charged again for next month." Wait... I just got banned from Deka Lash?!? For what?????? I said, "Can i be refunded my remaining balance of $55 since you refuse to service me?" Then Catherine said, "Unfortunately no. We do not do refunds." I have never experienced anything like this before. You refuse to service me & you refuse to refund me. I have filed a claim against them with my bank. Great Experience!!! It was the first time that I've actually worn eyelash extensions so I figured I'd give Deka Lash a shot. FYI, They are currently offering a deal on Groupon ($61.50) for the Classic style lash sets with optional free refill that you can't pass up on especially for anyone like me trying lash extensions for the first time. Kali was my consultant and she simply amazing! She immediately greeted me to check me in and handed me the consent to sign electronically prior to being seen. My appointment was scheduled for 11AM, however, I arrived a little early and Kali let me know she'd be right with me as she was wrapping up services with a client she was currently working on. Additionally, I was offered something to drink (bottled water) while I waited. Kali was very informative during my consultation. She gave me all the necessary details needed to ensure proper post care after instillation. Kali also broke down the different membership options available which made my decision fairly easy. All I can say is I absolutely LOOOOOVE my lashes. They have a nice length, yet not too dramatic and gives off that natural everyday look. However, I'll be going back in a week just to add a little bit more volume, I just wanted to give the initial look a try to make sure I do not have any sudden lash shedding within the first few days. Overall I'm so pleased with the service. The group of ladies that work there have a very family- oriented sister like relationship. Lots of laughter and overall good vibes. You feel welcomed, the ambiance is of course very girly, relaxing, and very clean! I have been here a handful of times now. I ended up going from a Groupon for my birthday. Since, I have been hooked and go bi-weekly for fills, and even got a membership. It is worth it to me. All the stylists are friendly and quick. Very efficient. I have seen GiGi, Alexis & Laniya. All have delivered exceptional work. I always fall asleep in their comfy chairs and wake up satisfied with my results. If you care for them well too, your lashes will last up to one month! (mine have :-)). Unsure what others experienced. But the key is to not get them wet for the first 48 hours. And honestly, I do my best to never get them wet and wash around my eyes carefully. I brush them throughout the day and I am mindful when I am sleeping. Even when I went on vacation and swam in the ocean, I made sure to be careful as I dried my face. I believe due to being attentive, my lashes last so long. Overall, I think this location offers great service, and I have always been happy with my lashes. read more

I have gotten my lashes done here one other time by Alexis. My lashes were amazing!! Lashes lasted 3 almost 4 weeks with almost no shedding. I went last Friday, today is Sunday, and I met with Y. I did request a master stylist but none were available the day I needed my lashes done. So Y. was the tech they assigned to me. She was nice. But talked way too much during the process. I could tell she was working on the right eye way more than the other. I asked how long had she been doing lashes. She says she's been doing them for a long time, but only been certified with deka for 3 months. It wasn't until I got home when I could really look at my lashes and saw all imperfections. Spacing. Lumps of black glue. The lashes themselves so far from my natural lash line. They were beautiful from afar, but close up it was a hot mess!! I did answer the survey they sent later that afternoon. I explained my issues and even said that I know just by looking at the work, these lashes will begin to fall out in the next day or so. Well, the next morning there they were laying beside me. It's now a week and two days and most of the right is gone, which is the eye she worked on the most, and the left eye has severe spacing. I look a hot freaking mess!! I did call them the very next day and asked if I could come in to have them fixed. The first young lady I spoke with acted as if she didn't want to help my remedy the situation. I hung up to check my schedule since she kept saying no one was available in their 5 day grace period. The next young lady was more understanding and did her job in finding me the closest appointment w/o me being outside the 5 day window for fixes. I then again asked if I could PAY ( after they messed up) for a master lash artist and she said they don't allow another tech to go over the messed up work. So basically Ya Ya would be doing the work again to fix the work she messed up which does not make sense. She didn't do it right the first time, why would be it right the second? I thought about it and canceled the appointment because I will spend my money with a woman owned small business lash tech instead. I did only pay $52 from Groupon. However, if I would have paid the full price amount which is over $100, I would be extremely pissed off!!! Clearly 3 months is not a long enough time to learn how to work on someone's face and eyes and be certified! I understand u have to start somewhere. But, If they are going to allow new techs to start after just 3 months, they should offer an apprentice discount. $50 because they are new and don't really know what they're doing yet. Let us know what we are paying for. Or at least have a master lash artist working with them. There were only 2 young ladies there that day. My tech and another young lady and no manager. I will not be returning to this corporate /franchise. There are plenty of young women who are wanting the business that have their own small lash business that need my support more. I also did not like the fact the lash tech lied about doing lashes 'forever'. When clearly she's had only been doing them for the last 3 months. If you are going to go here get a master lash artist. Although, you will be charged an additional $8 to do so. It's worth it tho. If Alexis sees this, pls hit me up girl! You are amazing at what u do! The worst! I went for an eyelash tint and a brow tint and they got dye in my hair and on my check. I have blonde have and have a very dark black blob in it. Looks ridiculous! Went back into salon and the technician apologized but now been 3 days and no call from owner! No offer to pay to correct my hair or pay for the products i bought to try and fix it. I loved my girl she was fabulous but I had this feeling that my left eye wasn't as full as my right but I thought I was being paranoid. Well it hasn't been 24 hours my left has clumped while my right still is fanned out, I brushed my left and I'm having them all fall out and I don't want to use my fill the day after getting them done. I came here for my first refill ever and my lash tech was Gege and she not only did a wonderful job and was very detailed, she was super warm and kind and patient with me. Wow!! My entire life I've had very fine, light, and short eyelashes and eyebrows. I've heard about eyelash extensions for years but have never taken the plunge. I saw Deka Lash open up down the street from me and was Intrigued but still hesitant. I have a tad more sensitive skin than most and have heard/seen allllllll the horror stories. I saw a Groupon for the classic eyelash set and decided to give it a whirl. I was visiting from Chicago and I had had a full set done there and it did not last even a week... i called and told them my situation, they were so helpful... gave me a complimentary fill! Now that is what I call customer service. I am an esthetician myself and do lashes for a living. Brooke was very nice and is a fast worker! The only suggestion I would give is for the techs to not talk loudly to each other when a client is trying to relax. I either talk to my client or don't talk at all. Not fair especially when i will likely run into the same issue. I accepted the first date they suggested, but they failed to inform me that I would be charged on the day of the appointment for a regular fill in and then again two days later when my monthly membership fee was deducted. I would stay away from this establishment. Let me start my saying that the facility is very clean and modern, also my tech is very nice and acted very professionally. However, my fill lashes started falling out in less than a week even though I followed the care instructions carefully. So a week later after paying $70 to get my lashes filled there I was back to square one with no extensions left. I'm not sure if it's the poor quality glue they use or the techs are trained to not adhere lashes on securely so I'll return sooner. I then visited a different lash establishment and they've discovered that a great deal of my lashes were cut!! if that's how they removed my lashes I'm extremely horrified by it. Made an appt and was told to take a picture of the Groupon discount and not to buy it just pay them directly. When I got there it was a song and dance about not seeing a date on the groupon picture I took on my mobile for 62.00. By the way this special is still being run with that 9 hours left to purchase caption so what was the big deal when the regular price I was told by the manager price was going to be 69.00. Without the date.. Really??My appt was at 1pm I arrived early for paperwork but the lecture about not seeing a date on the groupon first by receptionist next by the manager all lasted 20 minutes. I walked out on the mist of them still telling me about taking the picture right next time. OK this is a practice against groupon you should not be doing in the first place. So, I've gotten three lash refills here and I just keep hoping it will get better, but it hasn't. The salon itself is great. The staff and lash technicians are lovely. With two of the technicians, there was a bit of accidentally nicking/pinching my eyelid when they were trying to access my lash line, but aside from that they are very kind. But as far as the lashes go, they leave something to be desired. I've gotten my lashes done at several different places by different lash technicians. I have somewhat sparse Asian eyelashes, so when I get lash extensions, they typically utilize more of my natural lashes to achieve a full lash look. I've noticed that here, they attach fewer lashes to each eye overall (like maybe one every 4 lashes?). And then after a week (even with not getting them wet for 24 hrs, and not being around steam for 48hrs) half of them are gone and the gaps look a little crazy. UPDATE: the owner graciously contacted me to offer a complimentary fill with their top lash technician after my last bad experience. She was incredibly professional and kind and unhappy to hear about my previous visits. I was so pleased with the work Ebonee did on my lashes. It was exactly what I wanted and she talked me through her lash design. I will not be seeing anyone else from here on out and seriously it was the best experience I've had here by far. I have had the membership plan for one month and I have had two or customer service experiences. The first experience happened after my first service when I had several lashes come out before the 5day free fix policy and no one returned my call to schedule an appointment. Second time I arrive to my scheduled app and was informed that my regular lash technician no longer works for the company and there is no way my lashes can be done. After ca customer service their resolve was to blame the technician for not transferring me to a new technician before her last day. So I've been a member at this location for almost 2 years now and I must say, I've NEVER had a problem. I've been to every artist in the studio but Capri is my regular lash artist . The studio is nice and all the ladies are super accommodating. My lashes ALWAYS turn out great . I've had 1 incident where my lashes shed quickly but that was due to me listening to a friend that suggested baby shampoo.
